| Kovu wasn't a fan of the village. It seemed to be packed all the time and the only reason he had for venturing in there was for necessities ever since the community leader caught him stealing from the fields. Kovu was positive that the man had a few people on alert ever since so he was extra careful to not step on any toes. His supply of food at home was scarce and he was sick of stealing money to get more that he was debating on taking the man up on his job offer.
Maybe all he needed was someone else to steal for him. Yea, that was it. He had to coax someone into doing things for him. Kovu leaned against a tree at the tree line separating the fields from the woods. Surely it wouldn't be too hard to pick the next sucker he saw into doing things for him, right? Scar did it all the time.

Nobi didn't go to the village much oddly enough, he just kept to the fields community. After all, he helped grow an pick the food in the fields. He could purchase food easily enough from here. In fact the field that Kovu was near was the one Nobi was helping work on. The field was covered in wheat, tall golden stalks high and swayed as the wind blew. Harvest the wheat wasn't too hard, at least not to Nobi since he learned how to do it a long time ago. A basket was strapped to his back, though as he removed it and set it on the ground, he set back to work. Unaware of the being watching not too far away and what scheme they had in mind. Poor Nobi....even in this life he wasn't free of lions. Course at least it wasn't...that one lion. KOVU JACQUES ASSEMBÉ

| There he was. Kovu's first pray. He was minding his own business in the fields surrounded by wheat. The basket, and the fact that he seemed to know exactly how to harvest, told him that he was a worker in the fields. Oh my, this was too perfect. Kovu's lips curled in a smug smile as he left the comfort of the tree line to pursue a new friendship, if you will.
Like a lion creeping on its pray, Kovu kept very quiet as he approached the man. He was tall but he didn't seem to be as built as himself. That didn't quite matter to Kovu, he wasn't the fighting type despite his training.
"A farm hand, I take it?" Kovu announced his presence with a low voice.
