Eric felt strange and excited at the same time. For the first time that he could remember, and he didn't remember a whole lot for some reason, he was going on a date with a beautiful girl. And not just any beautiful girl, but the most beautiful one he had seen in the village. That was saying something too as it seemed that almost every woman in the village was beautiful enough to be a princess. Still, there was something about Ariel. Something that made her special... different. And yet... she seemed so familiar. But why? Why did she seem that way? Eric picked the strange lake known as the Pool of Tears. He had heard the legend behind the pool, but he didn't know if he could believe it. It seemed a bit wild, but then again... this was Wonderland. Still, the place was lovely and Eric felt it was a nice place to have a picnic. Eric decided to stay away from seafood as far as the menu went. He was kind of getting tried of it given his job and all. So he made sandwiches and sides- typical picnic stuff. He let Ariel know where to meet him the day before when he chatted for her. So now, sitting by the picnic blanket and basket, he waited. ARIEL NERINE MORGAN

there you see her Ariel was very excited for her date with Eric. He was so handsome and funny...and well, besides all of the generic things she could say about him, there was something beneath all of that that spoke to her heart. She hadn't known him long before they decided to go on a date, but from what she did know of him, Ariel felt like she knew him. They just instantly clicked and she desired to be near him, to know him even more than she already felt she did. Grinning from ear to ear, Ariel made sure she looked alright before she left her home - sporting a very cute blue dress and bow.As she made her way down to the Pool of Tears, Ariel couldn't help but pay attention to the butterflies swarming around in her stomach. They were very hard to ignore. All she could think of was what if she messed this up by saying something stupid, or what if he didn't like her after he got to know her? Normally Ariel didn't think that way because she made friends really easily, but Eric was different. He seemed so sophisticated, like he came from good-fortuned people, but Ariel still didn't know where she came from or what she had to give to the world besides a smile. She sighed, finally able to shake off her nerves. She had this - Eric already asked her on this date so he liked what he knew of her, and she just had to hope that he'd like everything else he came to know. She could see him as she neared the lake and Ariel immediately grinned. A picnic? That was amazing! She giggled and as she finally came to the edge of the blanket he'd laid out, she couldn't help but fall to her knees, laughing. "Eric this is amazing!" she cheered, looking to the picnic basket and then back to him. "It's good to see you again, too," she said, blushing as her hands instinctively went up to her hair and began twisting it. Her nerves flared up again, but she knew by looking into his eyes, that this was going to be one amazing day. notes ♡

Eric found himself fixated on the pool for a bit until he heard the lovely laughter. He knew it could come from only one person. Eric turned and laughed as well when he saw Ariel. She looked gorgeous today. Well, she had every time he saw her, but today she looked particularly stunning in the dress she wore. He was about to rise for her, but then she fell to her knees. "What do you find so funny?" he asked. Not that he minded her laughing. He loved a person who enjoyed laughter. He was just very curious as to what she was laughing about. Eric then smiled when Ariel said everything looked amazing and that it was good to see him again. "It's great to see you too," said Eric, who then blushed just a bit. He couldn't help. "I've... really missed you since the last time we talked." He then cleared his throat. "Um... so anyway, I brought a lot of food and stuff, and... um... was wondering if you'd like to... maybe go for a boat ride after we eat." He motioned over to a small rowboat he had brought with the aid of his wagon. He then looked back at Ariel hopefully. ARIEL NERINE MORGAN
