Another trap dismantled though at the price he of getting a long cut across his left cheek due to the thing snapping and the backlash he got from it. Though he didn't care. Thanks to his sister, he had medicince at home so that was good enough to use. Wiping the blood off with his sleeve, it smeared across the skin, leaving a small trail of red. He then started to walk away taking in the quiet of the woods. It was so nice out here, he felt free and oddly at home. The wolves in this wood made lovely sound at night, their howls filling the air as night came along with the moon rising. It just felt so right and yet he couldn't join in like they could. He could only try and keep them free and thus he would do his best to. It was late in the day though there was still sunlight out, providing enough light for one to see without a torch or lantern. Though he soon paused as he heard someone else walking and he turned his gaze to where the stranger was. "Shouldn't you be in the village?" Lupin questioned them. KIT THADDEUS PRINCETON

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] WHAT'S IT GONNA BE [attr="class","next"] Kit often found himself in the woods. Normally he was instructing the villagers on what to collect: firewood, kindling, herbs, but today was different. He wanted to be alone for a little while. To think about everything that had happened recently. He couldn’t get his mind off of Clarissa, but at the same time, he always found himself worrying after Wendy, and even worse, there was a part of him that felt like it was missing. He couldn’t put his finger on it, but there was something in this world that didn’t settle right. Shaking his head, his dark red hair fell into a mess. He wasn’t as put together as he normally tried to be. Suddenly a voice brought him out of his thoughts. It was one that he recognized, but hadn’t heard in quite some time. Lupin Woodsly, the very man who had chosen to live his life in the woods as opposed to the village — although, Kit couldn’t begin to understand why. There was nothing out here…just an emptiness. “I often take walks during this time of the day.” Kit said, taking a few more steps forward into the wood to get a better look at the man. The sun was beginning to set, but his view was still clear. “Mr. Woodsly?” Kit asked as he approached. There was red on the man’s sleeve and instantly he assumed the worst, “Do you need medical attention? We should go to the village immediately and get you seen by a doctor.” He said, nodding toward the direction from where he had just come.

"Then I suggest it best not to take these walks in the woods." Lupin replied. When the younger man approached, Lupin stayed put though he seemed to be putting himself at a distance from Kit as he moved a foot back. He really didn't want to hear any of this man's foolishness. He might not know what it was they were about to talk about but they soon changed their subject to medical attention. "I don't need the village for medicine, my sisters have given me some of their herbs and such. Besides it's not my arm that's bleeding." Lupin replied, pointing to his cheek so the lad would see where it was from. "What were you going to say before you noticed the blood?" (It's alright. ^^) KIT THADDEUS PRINCETON

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] WHAT'S IT GONNA BE [attr="class","next"] “It helps to clear my head,” Kit returned, his scrutinizing eyes on the man’s cheek now as he gestured to where the blood was coming from. It was not pleasant for him to deal with injuries, but it was something that he learned to live with. Furrowing his brow, he took another tentative step forward. He did not have the best track record with Lupin Woodsly — they often failed to see eye to eye, so running into him in the forest was not the best of luck. The man took a hunched step away from him and immediately Kit stopped his advance. The worst thing he could do was agitate an already agitated being. “Herbs and such won’t do enough for something that looks as if it might require stitches.” Kit returned. He would never understand why this man had decided that living in the woods by himself was more amenable than being with the rest of the residents of Wonderland. “I was just saying that sometimes I like to walk through the woods. Although, I would never, myself, want to live here.”

"It's not your concern." Lupin growled back at Kit at their protest of his wounds state. "I've been injuried out here plenty of times and I haven't gone an gotten stitches. A few scars are a fair enough price to pay for preventing hunters from hurting the wolves for stupid reason." The life in a village just..didn't feel right. The forest called him...the wolves called him. The feeling of being at home here was right. So what reason did he have to return to the place he didn't feel like he should be at? None. Sure his sisters most likely lived there still but that was them and he was himself, if the woods was were he felt more at home then so be it. He'd stay here. "Then I suggest you return to your village before night comes." Lupin replied as he turned and started to walk. (So sorry this took so long, had issues with my laptop. If you don't want to continue this I understand, also Kit can go after Lupin if you want.) KIT THADDEUS PRINCETON

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] WHAT'S IT GONNA BE [attr="class","next"] “No one in the village is hunting your wolves.” Kit countered. He couldn’t understand why the man wanted to live alone. He couldn’t figure out what it was that drew the man to such a place of solitude. But what he was telling him was not a lie. No one from the village that he knew of was hunting the wolves — the queen’s men and guard on the other hand, were quite a different story. Kit believed they could mind their own business and peacefully co-exist, but based on the queen’s soldiers’ orders, it seemed she felt differently. “You should at least allow our healer to check it out. Or perhaps our nurse?” He was the type of man who wanted everyone to be helped — it was like the village was his kingdom and this man, despite his folly, seemed to disregard what Kit thought to be his own purpose. “I won’t leave you here. It will get infected.” He had no jurisdiction over these woods. Even as the community leader of the village he had very little pull, but he wanted to help. Surely the man could see that. “I insist that you come along, Mr. Woodsly. Haven't you sisters? Won't they worry?"

"YOu're wrong, I've seen people from your village come out here. Set up trap after trap, and shot down wolves!" Lupin snarled, showing he was serious. "Ask that smug rat Savage or whatever his name is, he hunts the wolves and I don't doubt the rest of his kin does. And they do it for sport, you don't know people as well as you think." Such a stupid man! He seemed to think that no one was gonna do any wrongs to the forest, that was a joke. He saw it daily. People coming here and hunting. Kit's persistent just got him annoyed. They weren't going to believe his side. "This isn't my first injury that I can treat alone." Lupin answered. "My sisters accept me and understand, besides they have their own quirks as well. In fact you don't believe me on the hunters, come with me and try to step quietly." With that Lupin started to walk away. Gesturing for the man to follow him. KIT THADDEUS PRINCETON
