### . @elsa . weeee <3 stretching, ariel woke, her eyes fluttering open lazily. she looked around her, at the thatch roof above her and the trinket-like furniture around the room. the empty bed on the other end of the hut tipped her off to the fact that her roommate had already gone off on her own, which was perfectly fine with ariel. she had some things she wanted to do that day, anyway. did she want to do them alone? of course not. but, as it turned out, it seemed that ariel was left alone to tend to her desire of exploring the wood. she stretched one final time before pulling herself up out of her bed, putting her bare feet on the cold floor, which triggered a shiver down her spine.
sighing, ariel went to her makeshift dresser and pulled out a new set of clothes - one of few she owned in the world. thankfully there were people who were making a living by creating clothes and trading them for goods they needed. and, given that ariel was a gatherer herself, she tended to be able to stockpile things to get a few decent pieces of clothing. she hastily threw off her nightgown and slipped into her shorts and tank top, both of which were thin but did the job, and then slipped on her shoes. a shattered mirror which had been repaired hung on the wall that separated the beds, and it was to this mirror that she went, grabbing a dinglehopper to comb out her hair quickly before she departed from her house, intent on seizing the day.
the sun seemed harsh that day - she knew it was summer where they were because of the heat they were experiencing, but being out in it without some sort of shade was just torture. thankfully, ariel was off to the woods, there would be plenty of leaves to shade her overhead. perhaps she would even grab a few big leaves and create makeshift hats with them. she would certainly need a few other things to make them more stylish in nature, but she was a gatherer - that was but a simple task.
the walk from the village to the wood was not far at all, especially because ariel had snagged one of the houses more on the outskirts of the village. she was still safe and protected, she figured, but she wasn't on the opposite side of the village, which meant a longer walk to most places besides the pool of tears, which was in that direction. it might be nice to take a dip in some day, though ariel heard of an ocean on the far-most ridge of the world and, granted she could get there safely, it called her name.
today, though, it was the wood which she would venture. as she entered the wood, she looked up at the tall trees and immediately felt a coolness brush over her. she smiled and quickened her pace slightly, intent on gathering the things she needed and exploring a bit before heading back home. ariel came to her usual spot in the wood - a quiet, breezy area with twigs and berries - and fell down to her knees. she ripped open her satchel and began stuffing it with twigs from around her, not in a hastily fashion but she certainly was focused on her task. she smiled as she did it, though, and even hummed a tune - a tune that seemed vaguely familiar, but to one she could not remember the words.

don't let it show. To some, the woods were not a place that many ventured forth into. It was a place of adventure and dark secret within its wooden twigs and high soaring heights. Only few people went inside, and most of those people were gathers, people or creatures that traveled within its depth to collect things. Trinkets if you will. Elsa was not one of those few, but she did enjoy a small walk, isolation within the heights and the leaves. The smell of pine and oak filled her nose, pale fingers delicate tracing along the trees as she passed. Her pale blonde hair pulled into its normal braid down the side of her neck stopping just at her breast. Her outfit consists of a flow blue blouse and dark wash jeans, her feet concealed within dark blue flats to finish off the outfit. Elsa had often found herself hiding away from the likes of man, walking among the tall trees was an escape into her isolated state. After her mother and father’s passing she had found solitude within the tall trees, drops of dew hanging from the bright green leaves. Sure Elsa was not alone in the world, she had her sister…Anna, but she always found herself closer to her parents then the other girl. This was rather weird for the girl, from what she could remember of her past the two had been close as a young girl and then grew apart. She shook her head from her hole filled memory as she continued to walk, the sound of her parents words echoing within her brain.
Conceal don’t feel, don’t let it show.
She sighed, the sound of her breaths and her shoes crunching against leaves and twigs echoed around her, silence soon following. She loved the idea of isolation, sure she was quite lonely within it but it was just a feeling she was used to. Though she had her sister had grown together, their close bond once again rekindled, she still liked some moments of solitude to just think. To just breath in the air and close her eyes an imagine herself somewhere else, back to the simple times. She sighed, brushing her pale fingers over the top of her hair, pushing back the stray threads of pale blonde from her face.
The sound of humming filled the cool air, piercing the night with its melody. And Elsa found herself following the sound, as if it were a Siren calling to a pirate through the night, waiting to drown them. She shook that childish thought from her brain and pushed on, eyes slowly taking in the sight of a girl, a red head, knelt down against the dew covered ground. Sure she felt as though she was invading the girl’s isolation, she turned to walk away, stepping on a twig and it crunched beneath her weight, the sound like a beacon in the air.

### . @elsa . weeee <3 Being in an unfamiliar place meant keeping your mind focused and ready. As a loud snap cracked through the air, Ariel quickly said, "Oh!" and hustled to her feet. She spun around, clutching her satchel to her chest as she looked round for the source of the noise. It didn't take long, however, for her to spot the girl whom had run in on her spot. After all, it wasn't hard to spot her, for she was beautiful and one of those people you simply admired.
Ariel immediately blushed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be startled," she said, giggling. "Here," Ariel whispered, setting down her satchel and extending her hand outward toward the blond girl. She gazed up, from the ground to the girl's face, taking in her presence. She was so strong, so resilient - she just seemed like she knew who she was. That was something to be said about people around there. "I'm Ariel." A sweet grin presented across her features as she attempted this formal introduction to the stranger. She knew that being in a strange place, not know who you were, could be frightening, let alone trying to find out who other people were, too. Ariel was outgoing and fun and she tried to be kind to everyone she met. She certainly didn't want to make enemies; life was much better when people found you endearing instead of annoying.
She definitely knew she could come on a little strong, though. She was quirky and sassy and fun, and sometimes there were people she met that shied away from her because of that. She understood. Ariel knew that some people were completely distraught about their situation and just wanted to be alone. But, that just wasn't in her. She couldn't sit around sulking and wishing her way to remembering what happened to her. That wasn't how this was going to work out. She knew something beyond her, beyond everyone, was at work, but they didn't know what or who that was - they simply knew what was now, that they were all here, together, stuck. She was going to make the most of it, though - she was going to make friends and make a life and if at some point she remembered the past, then she would decide then what to make of it.

don't let it show. ‘Oh!’
Elsa’s eyes slightly widened, not realizing that her sudden sound would have frightened the girl. But it had. The girl quickly flashed to her normal height, or what Elsa assumed was her normal height, a satchel clutched to her chest as if Elsa was going to steal it from her. Elsa took a step backwards, as if the red head was a feral beast. Her head held high, hands held up in defense. She frowned quickly lowering them; a weird feeling had run through her…as if she had done the same thing before, but when? Why? She watched as the girl’s face went a soft tint of pink, a simple blush flushed through the skin of her cheeks. The girl giggled out an apology for being scared, this of course caused Elsa to tilt her head. Shouldn’t she be the one to apology for scaring her? Not the other way around. She watched as the woman placed down her satchel and held out her hand.
‘I’m Ariel.’
Slowly she took a step forward, her cool hand slipping into the outstretched one. “Elsa.” she greeted, nodding her head. Her demeanor seemed cold, but really that was just how she was. Cold, distant…isolated. Slowly she slipped her hand from the other woman’s, almost too quickly that it seemed like she was either being burnt by the touch of Ariel’s hand or because she was just rude. But she didn’t mean to be, she just was. She was always like this, well sometimes she was always like this. The only one that saw her true side, well recently started to see the true Elsa, was Anna. She internally shook her head before plastering on a forced looking smile.
“It is nice to meet you Ariel.”

### . @elsa . weeee <3 Ariel grinned, but her smile faded softly as she noticed the uncomfortable nature in which Elsa reacted. "Elsa - that's a nice name!" she beamed. It was hard for Ariel to act like she didn't notice that Elsa felt weird, but she also didn't want to scare the girl off. Even if Ariel was the one who'd been scared just moments ago, she knew how easily that could turn to the other person. She was glad, though, that despite Elsa's hesitant demeanor, that she seemed like a good person. While Ariel tended to be naive, she could often tell outright whether or not a situation was good or bad - and in this case, Elsa was okay.
"It's nice to meet you, too," she answered. Ariel flipped her hair over one shoulder and then held up her satchel slightly. "I've just been doing some gathering, you know - fruit, twigs, things that people need and that I can trade for things I need," she said, nodding. Was it weird? She supposed it was the job she'd found, sometimes getting money for her goods, but she enjoyed it. Even if it wasn't necessarily a very exciting occupation, Ariel found that discovering new things and trading for things she would never find on her own made her feel somewhat complete. It was hard to explain, which was why she didn't bother, but hopefully the girl would understand the words she didn't speak. "So what brings you out here?" she asked, then immediately put her hands to her face. "Or is that rude? Sorry," she quickly said, unable to refrain from giggling softly at the realization that she was being quite awkward. Ah well.

don't let it show. ‘Elsa – that’s a nice name! It’s nice to meet you, too. I’ve just been doing some gathering, you know – fruits, twigs, things that people need and that I can trade for things I need.’
Elsa played with her fingers for a moment, her face reserved and her emotions hidden. Elsa had always been reserved from what she could remember at least. Of course that didn’t mean she was always reserved, it is a known fact that the first memory you remember is at the age of three and for all Elsa knows she could have been a lively and excited young baby when she was first born. Of course she would ask her parents but sadly they were gone, passed away before Elsa could even remember. It was just her and her sister, and that was just the way they liked it. Or at least Elsa. She was isolated and she liked it, it was just a way that she could live, she was fine with the isolation. She only had Anna, and that was all that she needed, for now. She nodded “Sounds like fun…trading things I mean.” she said rather politely though she never really had to trade for what she needed.
‘So what brings you out here? Or is that rude? Sorry.’
A small real smile appeared on Elsa’s lips and she let out a small laugh, shaking her head “You do not need to apologize. I came out here to think, it is the best place. Isolated. Only you and the trees. You can actually think for once when you are isolated, when you are with others you cannot be the true you. You have to hide.” she said the words slipping through her lips as if she had no control over the things she said or did, it was just natural. Instinct.
