The woods were not a place unfamiliar to Anna., seeing as the young woman held a lingering urge for adventure and sometimes, solitude. The woods were considered to be dangerous, and all who traveled there should be cautious. Of course, some lived in the woods, and not all were dangerous people, so really, how bad could they be? Anna was definitely not fearless, but she did not experience the feeling of fear until put in such a situation that would cause it. So, on a day that she did not have to go into work, she took her leave from home, beginning her walk on the path to the woods.
Her feet tread lightly on the woods floor, stepping on small twigs and leaves. Her curious eyes glanced about, taking in her surroundings and keeping an eye out for anything, or anyone that might cross her path. Everything seemed calm, with no sounds filling her ears but the light crunching of her own feet and the soft humming escaping her lips. A gentle smile rested on her features, having no reason to frown. Well, until she heard some leaves behind her rustling. Stopping, Anna turned slightly, her blue eyes landing on the bush. What was there? Or, who? Was someone watching her?
Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion; her heart speeding up only slightly. She had been to that part of the woods multiple times, and never had she had a problem before. Crossing slowly to the bush, she reached a hand out toward the bush, hoping to push it back enough to see what was lurking there. She hesitated, afraid of what she might find. When she finally reached enough and moved the plant slightly, a rabbit jumped out. Covering her mouth, she let out a startled scream, turning quickly from the bush. As clumsy as she was, it was no surprise when she tripped on her own feet and landed quickly on her backside.

| There were only a handful of things Kovu did on a normal day but on days that the village was too dull for Kovu's liking, he'd result in the woods to keep him occupied. Today was one of those "let's play in the woods" days. Kovu headed out of the attic he squatted in and down the steps to the home's backdoor. The home laid close to the edge of the woods which made it much easier for him to come and go as he pleased. Kovu closed his eyes and breathed in the fresh air, listening to the sounds of nature increase around him the farther he got from the home.
It was when he reached the line of trees that he saw a girl from a distance. With her attire and red hair, she stood out like a sore thumb. Who was this girl? Why was she venturing into his woods? Being mindful of any noise he could make, Kovu decided upon following the girl from high above. Kovu climbed the first tree and began sliding from tree branch to tree branch in the same direction that he saw the girl go in. The longer he kept an eye on her the more intrigued he was. At first Kovu commended her for being all alone and without giving hints of being afraid. By the time a noise made her turn and examine a bush, Kovu was invested in this girl. He too began to wonder what this noise was and what was making it, too.
As the girl reached for the bush, Kovu quietly swung down from the tree a couple feet from the girl and leaned so he could see over the girl's shoulder. From the bush jumped a rabbit which sent Anna falling in fright right before his feet. Although Kovu didn't jump in such a dramatic way, he did find relief that it was simply a silly ol' rabbit. "Haven't you see a rabbit before?" Kovu scoffed at the girl, he wasn't going to admit that her clumsiness was beautiful entertainment. "You must not venture into my woods often." He took a couple steps back into the shade and leaned back onto a tree's trunk. "You shouldn't even be in my woods."

Anna wanted to laugh at herself. She couldn't believe she had just been frightened by a cute little rabbit. Well, not really the rabbit itself, but the sudden motion of the rabbit jumping out at her. Anyone would be startled by something popping out at them, right? It wasn't long before she heard a voice that made her head shoot in the direction of the source, her features forming into another confused and questioning look. "Of course I've seen a rabbit before." She responded to the boy as she started to get back on her feet, brushing herself off once she was standing.
Her head tilted to fit the questioning look on her face. Who was this boy, and why was he so snarky? Crossing her arms, Anna shook her head at him. "Actually, I do come out here often. I enjoy the woods. It was just so sudden." She retorted, but soon realized that she really didn't need to explain anything to him. Not only that though, it had hit her that he had said "his" woods. What did he mean? The woods belonged to the Queen. This whole place was ruled by her and her sister. He must have thought very highly of himself for some reason. "Your woods?" She started, her tone dropping into something more skeptical and defensive. "These woods are not yours. How did you get such a silly idea in your head?"

| The red head got to her feet and Kovu tilted his chin in towards his chest. "Oh so you just scare easily, then?" He mocked her as he folded his arms across his chest. It surprised him that she claimed to walk these woods often seeing as how she was scared by something so small and common. There were always noises in the woods.
Kovu gave a bellowed laugh when the redhead claimed the woods weren't his. "Then whose woods are these?" He asked as he gave her a sly smirk. "The Queen's?" The young man shook his head at the thought. "There's too much here for her to claim. No one has even seen all of it." The girl in front of her had a lot of spunk to her. It was cute. She said it was silly for him to think these woods were his and she was right.
He tilted his chin up and stared at her from the tip of his nose as he flung his hands up into the air. "Alright, ya got me. They're not my woods." Kovu admitted, "But they're my boss's and when he's busy it's all mine." The young man took a step closer to her, his expression growing colder the moment he dropped his smile.
"What are you doing in my woods?"
