This was ridiculous. Why was he here? Buddy scowled at the flowers, hoping to send a chill that would stop them from singing. Tania insisted that he was working too much, that he needed a break. And now here he was, being held against his will. In his opinion, it was far more stressful than being locked up in his work room for twelve hours. “Can we go now?” He asked not more than ten minutes after walking around in the garden. The splenetic man crossed his arms, refusing to take into account that she was trying to help. He didn’t need her help.
It had been an obnoxious time. Tania had started coming over to his house, almost every single day. It was more than he could take but there was no one that he could report her behavior to. Though it was nice…having someone to make him coffee or to clean up. But he wished that he did not have to deal with her constant chatter and questions. He would rather do everything himself than to hear her day after day. Today, she had all but dragged him out of the house, insisting that he needed fresh air and to stretch his legs. All Buddy could think about was his currently neglected blueprints and the prototype of his flying machine.
The pink roses had begun to sing a set of love sonnets, their eyes on the two of them. He glared again and they quickly shut up and started whispering to each other. “Can we at least go somewhere else? They think we’re on a date.” He turned to Tania and he could see the violets giggling amongst each other.
“You are on a date, silly!” One of them cooed, making the other flowers join in with their laughter and coos.
“Oh am I now?” He was done. He walked over to them, pushing past Tania and knelt down so he was looking them in the eyes. “How about I cut you all and make a bouquet for her then?” The flowers squealed in terror at his threat and he laughed in response.
