It was the night of the Masquerade Ball and Ty couldn't contain her excitement. She didn't really like to get all girly and dressed up and all that, but she did like to party and have a good time. Her attire was pretty simple: a champagne shift dress with lines and other intricate details, a black belt across the waist with a mustard flower, mustard wedge shoes, and a gold/mustard mask with black (not as many as pictured) feathers from the top. Okay, so maybe it wasn't completely simple, but it fit Ty's style perfectly - exquisite, but not insanely girlish. Tiger looked at her floor-length mirror and examined her body, the dress, and everything together, then finally decided it was too late to change her mind and left her house.
The castle was abuzz with envy, gossip, and joy. There were obviously some groups of girls huddled together and jealously remarking about other girls' dresses; there were some, huddled similarly, gossiping about who was with who. There were also people, those who she sided with most, that were just having a good time. That was what these things were all about, weren't they? Having fun? Tiger didn't understand why people had to ruin their own lives by throwing themselves into other people's business. She was like those who were joyous; she might not have had a date to share the night with, but she was determined to have fun and enjoy all that the castle offered them.
It wasn't like they went into the castle every day. At least, she didn't. And while Ty was one of the seemingly few who didn't want to get used to the idea of staying there, and wanted to know who she was and why they lost everything they had before, she did want to enjoy this night. She could question the entirety of her past and self, but at the end of the day Tiger wanted to be happy. She hadn't come to terms with being in Wonderland, but she had come to terms that she wanted to be happy. She still sought the answers that would make her completely full, but until then she had to live her life and stop sitting fetal-position in a dark corner of the world.
Ty grabbed some punch and then took a seat at a table near the dance floor. She wasn't opposed to dancing with someone fun, but she also wasn't opposed to sitting and having conversation, either. She was a true partier; she went with the flow and had no regrets. Sometimes things got out of hand and sometimes things were just nice. Either way, Tiger was going to take it all in. Now all she needed was someone to do it with.
