Master Of The House, Doling Out The Charm (Villains)

It was hard to believe that Vermanas Rattshire had made friends in Wonderland. Well... perhaps "friends" was a strong word. He had made acquaintances that had proven of use to him. This was done through meetings in the shadows, shady deals, and of course his undying loyalty to the corrupt royalty that presided over the land. He had enough of these so-called friends to build up quite a guest list for his latest party. And to be invited to one of Rattshire's parties was a true honor and pleasure, as he spared no expense. He was happy to spend the money the less fortunate were forced to send his way on those he found to be equals. It brought him great delight to see them make merry and have him to thank. It was nice to have people of their status owing him in the future.

As the servants moved about serving, answering the door, and the like, Rattshire was in the lounge having a good stiff Brandy. He looked about to see who all had arrived. He hoped the Queen herself would make an appearance. That would certainly draw attention to his estate. Not only that, the press about the event would remind potential enemies that he had powerful allies.
