BUCHANAN "BUCKY" ACORNAurore pushed open the door of Neil's Eats Hut, breathing in the familiar aroma of roasting food and delicious sauces. She had some of her fresh vegetables in a basket on her arm, bringing them for the cook who had recently complained about not having anything exotic. She could help with exotic, well to a point. Her garden had a wide variety of items, some of which many people had never heard of, but all could grown in this climate. She planned on eventually building a greenhouse so she could have real exotic herbs and foods growing there. She smiled at the person behind the serving counter, holding her basket up a bit higher so that they could see she was here on business, then she walked through the swinging door that led to the kitchens. She and the chef were on fairly good terms, and she chatted with him for a moment. As she did so she saw Bucky, the apprentice chef. She smiled kindly when she caught his eye, then ended her conversation with the cook and went back out into the near empty dining area. Sitting down at a booth near a window, she glanced out, noticing the birds twirl around each other. "Why is it that each bird has a someone?" she whispered to herself.

tag: @aurora | Bucky had spent many hours learning how to make all the food on the menu. Today was a slow day and after almost an hour of convincing his boss, Bucky was in charge of the restaurant for the remaining few hours. Bucky was a trustworthy young man who had put his heart and soul into all of his edible creations. As Bucky began to get ready to be in charge, a girl came back into the kitchen as his boss was leaving. They exchanged words as Bucky continued to work, looking up at the gorgeous girl ever so often.
Boy was she pretty.
His boss decided to stay seeing as how she had brought new foods to cook with. This meant many more dishes for Bucky to learn later, he was sure. He finished the dish he was focused on and, instead of allowing the server to take it out, he took the dish to the customer himself. He had learned from Neil that it was important to create a special bond with the customers and sometimes it meant being a waiter themselves.
Bucky made his way out of the kitchen and placed the dish on the customer's table with a smile. "I hope you enjoy your dinner!" He said happily before leaving them to their food. "Excuse me, is there anything I can get you? Something to drink to start with?" Bucky asked the gorgeous blond in the booth, he had never met her before now.

| The dancing birds flew away, leaving her to stare at the shrubbery. She sighed, wondering, not for the first time, why she couldn't remember anything before a few weeks ago. She looked up as Bucky entered the dining area from the kitchens. He dropped off a plate to a guest. Turning back to the window, she was nearly ready to get lost in her thoughts again. But she was interrupted by Bucky coming to her table. "Actually, I would love a cup of ginger herbal tea with honey. Do you have that?" she responded to him. She said it before she had even looked at the menu. She had been here quite a few times, but didn't eat here often. Now that she thought of it, in all of the times she had come into this hut, Bucky had never spoken to her. Not even in passing. He had waved, and smiled plenty, but never uttered one syllable. She was glad he had decided to take her order. Maybe he would deliver it as well and she could talk to him some more. He seemed like a great guy. |

tag: @aurora | Bucky enjoyed serving the customers, especially on slower nights, because he was able to get to know thm better. The young man didn't spend very much time out of the restaurant so this was the only way he could be social. More often than not he was too busy in the back to even talk to anyone.
He had seen Aurore many times, and yes he hadn't spoken to her before, but he could tell she was a kind soul. Her looks were definitely intimidating but not in a bad way. She was way too pretty for someone like him.
Bucky asked her if she wanted anything to drink and although ginger herbal tea wasn't on the menu, Bucky knew how to make it. "I could make you a fresh cup." He ended his response with a nod and a friendly smile. "I'll be back with your drink shortly."

| Bucky nodded at her request, responding that he would be back. After he walked through the doors she realized that she hadn't even looked at the menu before she had asked for something. Did they even serve herbal ginger tea? She grabbed the menu and tore it open. She looked over the drinks. Nothing. Not a single mention of anything other than iced tea. She closed her eyes in humiliation. She really should know what this restruant served. she came here often enough. Setting the menu back in it's holder she went through what she was going to say when Bucky came back. I'm sorry, I didn't realize you didn't serve that. No, that sounded stiff. You should have told me you didn't serve that, I could have asked for something else."She didn't want to say that either, but that comment made her pause. Why did he say he could make it if they didn't serve it? |

It was true that the Hut didn't serve tea - well actually sweet tea was available - but they had everything they needed to make different kinds of teas. Even though pastries were his calling, Bucky was rather good with drink orders even if he had to make them from scratch. It was slower day at the restaurant so he had plenty of time to make the tea from scratch for her.
Within minutes, Bucky returned to her table with a cup of herbal ginger tea and placed it in front of her on the table. "Sorry it took so long. We don't usually make herbal ginger tea so I had to make it." He smiled kindly at her. "Would you like something to eat? A meal or perhaps a dessert? We have an amazing Hazelnut Meringue Dome." Bucky was particularly proud of this dessert.
