Alright, civilian, here’s how it’s going to be. I’m going to tell you what you need to know and you’re not going to ask any questions. Got it? I’ve got a history, but it doesn’t matter. At least not right now. You don’t need to know about the wedding. You don’t need to know about what color the flowers were and you sure as hell don’t need to know about my dead fiancé. [break][break]
Moving on: Hero’s Duty, that’s where it all starts. I’m not just a pretty face — yeah yeah, before you go and get yourself all worked up, I’m just going to go ahead and tell you that if you think for one second that you’re going to get anywhere close to me, you’re insane, soldier. I’m tough as nails. A soldier’s gotta be in Hero’s Duty. [break][break]
Never interfere with the first person shooter. That’s the first rule of Hero’s Duty. I spent my life fighting Cy-Bugs. Nasty little things. Didn’t even realize they were a part of a video game. Just like a nasty little virus, they burrowed into anything they could find. Didn’t matter if it was Hero’s Duty or the game next door. So we were always careful and we always made sure to lock up after ourselves. [break][break]
At least, until Ralph decided he was going to jump. He jumped into my game. You realize what that means, don’t you? Wreck-it-Ralph jumped into my game. He set the da.mn Cy-Bugs loose on Sugar Rush, so naturally, it was up to me to fix it. [break][break]
Well, me and Felix.[break][break]
He was such an annoying little thing. I told him to stand down — I don’t work well with others, but you know he said he was going with me. Said it was his job to fix whatever Ralph wrecked. So he came along. We had to track down the bug — looked for it all over Sugar Rush. [break][break]
Felix told me about going Turbo…something that struck a chord. It was disgusting. How could a man abandon his game like that? The whole world depended on him and he just…left. I couldn’t imagine leaving Hero’s Duty to the rest of those idiots. They would be eaten alive by Cy-Bugs if was gone for just one round. [break][break]
We found the, eventually. But the world was different after that. Everybody says I’ve gone soft, but it isn’t like that. The world just wasn’t the same without Felix…and it never would be.[break][break]
” All right, enough with the goo-goo eyes. We got work to do”[break][break]
[break]
Things are different now. Wonderland is different. Nikkola Patton doesn’t know who she was before and quite frankly, she couldn’t give two craps. Whoever she was before now doesn’t matter: what matters is what she can be. Nikki’s got a subdued hero complex, although she likes to take a back seat to others playing the role of hero. She’s more of the moral support, however, if you go off the beaten and moral path, she won’t hesitate to beat the crap out of you until you get back into line. A strict woman, through and through, she spends most of her time alone, hardly preferring the company of others.[break][break]
Still hardcore and tough, she doesn’t like to take no for an answer. Nik finds it hard to trust people, even with simple tasks. She tends to hover over them to make sure that they’re doing whatever it is to her liking. She’s got domineering tendencies — and feels…heartbroken, though she’d never tell anyone. Nik hasn’t been able to put her finger on it, but she feels like she’s lost someone…maybe for the second time. [break][break]
”It's make your mamas proud time!”
