the weakest but the brightest.
It had been a rather long day for Caddie. School had dragged on for what felt like forever and what happened at the close of it all…she had gotten a trouble. Why had she gotten into trouble? Because someone…a boy around her age, had gotten her into that trouble. She had been walking through the woods, part of one of her classes, and then he just picked her up and took off with her. The school was not thrilled. But when Caddie had told the Dean that it was not her fault, they she was mostly kidnapped by this boy, he didn’t listen. He told her this was a warning and then told her that he would call her mother, or in this case, the owner of the orphanage in which she was a part of.
She felt scared to go home and tell Perry, her mother figure, what had happened. Would she be upset with Caddie? She hoped not…it wasn’t her fault. Sure she had started over with Dash, but that didn’t mean she didn’t trust if he would not get her in trouble again. She hoped that Pepper knew what to do. When she arrived home, Caddie had bid farewell to Dash and had gone inside, quickly taking the steps two at a time, ignoring the other orphans that plagued the place. She pushed open her and Pepper’s door, thankful that the two of them shared a room together.
Sadly it didn’t seem like Pepper was even in her room, quickly discarding her bag she left in search of the girl. She grabbed one of the younger boys by the arm and smiled “Have you seen Pepper?” she question but he quickly shrugged her off and pointed in a direction. She smiled at him before quickly heading in the direction, the direction of the kitchen. When she entered, she found that the fridge was open and someone was going through it.
“Pep?”
