tag: @koda | Lilo's little project was now an at home project. She had spent many hours at her dance studio making bracelets, anklets, and crowns out of leaves. Her newest project was making what she called hula skirts. She had spent even more hours collecting leaves around the pool of tears for the appropriate length leaves that it began to grow dark on her walk back home. Her purse was filled with leaves as well as her arms as she literally kicked open the door to her home and dropped her arms. The floor filled with leaves as she rushed to move all of the junk off of the coffee table in the living room.
She could hear voices in the other rooms but her mind was too preoccupied with her project that she didn't even announce that she was home. Once she cleared off the coffee table she piled the leaves to one side and began laying them out. This skirt was a new idea and she had yet to make one. When she successfully tied together a large quantity of leave she came to her feet to try it on. Just like putting on a normal skirt, Lilo immediately shook her hips to watch the skirt flow as a grin crept across her face.
Lilo tied the string that kept the skirt together so it would hang on it's own. "Hey guys!" She exclaimed before pausing to see if anyone called back. She was so into her project she wasn't sure if anyone was still on the main floor. "Hello?" Lilo walked around the corner into the dining room to see absolutely no one. "Is anyone even down here?" She called once more, her shoulders slumping. "Oh of course there isn't." Lilo rolled her eyes, it would figure no one was there to experience this happy moment with her. She thought for sure her housemates would get a kick out of her skirt.

Koda had just finished gallivanting with his best friend, Olaf. Koda rarely used the front door and preferred to simply climb onto the roof using some trees nearby and slipping into his bedroom window. Being the only male in the house was a little weird at times, but he really didn't want to move out-no matter how much people tried to convince him it might be better. He was happy there with his friends and felt like he had a place. Anyway, he had just snuck into his window as he heard someone calling from downstairs. Lilo. He felt a smile burst onto his face and he sped out of his room, sliding down the stair banister to jump in front of Lilo herself. "Lilo he-woooah," he said, taking a step back to take in a skirt that she seemed to have made out of leaves? What a strange idea! "Where did you get that? Did you make it?" he asked, stepping around her to get a better look at it. "It's awesome!" LILO KAIPO PELEKAI

tag: @koda | Lilo put her hands on her hips, there were always people in the house but of course there wasn't when she wanted to show off her newest project. As she turned around to head back into the living room she heard a noise from the stairs and a second later Koda was jumping out right in front of her. Lilo put her hands out in front of her as if she was making sure he was stopping and not going to run into her. She had been so use to people jumping out at her that she wasn't so easy to scare anymore.
"Koda!" Her face lit up as she looked at her housemate. She felt her cheeks warm as he took a step back and examined her new leaf skirt. When he asked her where she got it her smile quickly turned into a frown. Lilo placed her hands on her hips, "Of course I made it!" she retorted. Koda, who was now walking around her to see it in full, complimented her. "Do you want one?" She turned to look at him.
"Do you think other people would want one?" Lilo always took Koda's opinion into a count, she trusted him and most of his decisions. She was hoping she could make many of them to other dancers so she could one day host her very own luau. "I love it." She admitted before wiggling her hips to make the leaves move. "Here!" She grabbed at the string to untie it but wa having a hard time reaching it. "Try it on."

As Lilo offered to make him one and inquired about other people wanting them, he nodded. "Yeah, I think they'd be pretty popular," he started. He chuckled as she said she loved it, wiggling her hips a little as she did so. As she offered for him to try it on, he took a step forward, "yessss, just hold on, let me get it!" he said, stepping forward again and reaching around to untie the string. "There," he said excitedly as pulled it away, wrapping it around himself. He turned around to face his back to her, holding the strings in place, "All right, tie me in!" He knew he would probably look ridiculous, and nowhere near as cute as Lilo looked in the skirt, but it was worth a go, right? "What's it's purpose anyway? Anything in particular?" he asked. Though, Koda wouldn't mind if it's purpose was just to be awesome! LILO KAIPO PELEKAI

tag: @koda | Lilo beamed once Koda said that her skirts would be popular. Perhaps she could obtain more money by selling them,, of course, it would take some time to make more of them. "Thanks, I got you." Koda helped her untie the skirt from her and immediately held it around his waist for her to tie it around him. She made sure to tie it tight enough that it wouldn't fall off but not tight enough to hurt.
The small brunette grabbed his hand to turn him around to see how the skirt looked on him. It didn't look funny on him either, well so Lilo thought. "Now spin around or dance or something." She called out as she playfully yanked his hand towards herself and twisting her hips to show him how to move. "Isn't it fun?" Lilo loved the way the skirt moved, how freely it's motions were and the feeling of the leave's tips across her ankles. Of course, Koda was taller than her so the leaves weren't going to tickle his ankles like it did for her.
"It's just for fun. I think I'm going to make a dance to go with it so I can teach people. One day I'll have a luau and there will be dancing and singing and soo much food! But, ya know, I have to figure out the top part." Lilo said, using her empty hand to poke Koda's chest. She had yet to even think about making tops to go with the skirts but it was obvious it couldn't be made from the same leaves.

As she took his hand, he turned as she led. He smiled a bit of a wide goofy smile and nodded at her request/command. "Ooh, okay," he said, moving his hips from side to side as she brought his hand to her own waist. He took a step closer to her and laughed as they both did the strange dance movement. "It is!" he answered with a laugh as she asked if it was fun.
Koda loved things that were purposed just for fun! He nodded as she talked about the top part and poked his chest. "Well, for the menfolk I think we'd look fine with just no top at all," he grinned, "especially if we'd be doing this dance luau thing in the summer time. The ladies could just wear like... seashells!" he laughed aloud, and blushed a little at the thought before shaking his head. "Or we could make other grass tops, like basket weaved or something?" he suggested.

tag: @koda | Lilo's cheeks tightened as her lips flattened into a closed smile as the short girl checked out the skirt from a normal person's point of view. She thought it looked great on her and, much to her surprise, it looked just as good on Koda. As he placed his hand on her waist and took a step closer Lilo's smile simply grew. She couldn't keep her lips from curling in response. "We'll definitely have to learn a dance to go with them." Lilo laughed after he agreed that the skirts were quite fun to dance around in.
After poking his chest in reference to making tops to go with the new skirts, she dropped her hand on to his arm that laid extended to her waist. "Menfolk?" Lilo chuckled, "Well I guess you guys don't need tops, huh?" She shrugged, man it must be nice to be a guy. "I am not wearing seashell bras like.. like some mermaid." Lilo scrunched her face up at the very image of wearing seashells. They were neat but not her idea of a good shirt. Her eyes lit up when he proposed a basket woven top.
"Hey! That's not a bad idea!" She exclaimed as she squeezed his hand.

Koda laughed allowed at her calling him out on the 'mermaid' fashion statement. "Hey, I have my own fashion specialties," he responded smugly as she claimed the basket woven top wasn't a bad idea, he smiled down at her, she was a bit shorter than he was after all. After a moment, he realized he had just been staring, hand on her waist, not saying anything. "Anyway," he said, taking a step back, "perhaps we should collect some materials and start that weaving. I've got the day off. You busy?" His hand was no longer on her waste but their other hands were still clasped together. He looked down at them before looking up at her with a smile. Suddenly, he lifted their hands so he could do a little spin under her arm. He laughed, letting go of her hand completely. "We could put on a show, kind of to show off the skirts so that people will want them even more!"LILO KAIPO PELEKAI

tag: @koda | Lilo loved Koda's positivity, it was one of the reasons they got along so well. "Well if you like them so much than you can wear them." Lilo raised her brows with an attitude. Nothing about seashell tops appealed to the short girl. The hand woven basket tops, on the other hand, were not a bad idea if it was done properly.
For a moment they were quiet but it wasn't until he took a step away from her that she realised how much she liked the boy. He proposed that they find material for the tops before raising their clasped hands to spin in the grass skirt once more. Lilo grinned at him - he was the perfect kind of goofy. "Nope, I'm completely free today. I took the day off to make skirts." Lilo proudly responded. It seemed she was victorious in her efforts today.
Her smile faded as he released her hand and the realization set it. She really liked him. She couldn't like her housemate, he was her best friend. That was unacceptable. "Yea.. A show that will promote the skirts and the dance studio. Uh.." Lilo awkwardly turned her attention to the table covered in long leaves before taking a couple steps from him.
"So.. What do we need to make the woven tops?"
Lilo walked back into the living room to see how much string she had left. She looked back at Koda with her hands on her hips. "Hey, do you know how to weave?"

Koda laughed out loud and shook his head as Lilo suggested that he wear the seashells himself, but decided he'd touch on that subject later. As he pulled his hands away from her, he felt an intense urge to bring her back closer to him. What the heck was that about? He shook it off, literally, by testing out the skirt again as she said she was free today. "Excellent. A day spent with the fabulous Lilo is not a day wasted," he added, following her as she moved back into the living room, asking what they'd need and if he knew how to make them. He shrugged, "weaving seems easy enough. I'm not sure if these leave would work though... I think we'd need to go out and get thicker blades of grass, or something similar." When she turned to face him, hands on her hips, Koda realized how incredibly close they were. He had followed closely behind her in order to get a look at the materials, and she spun around to face him, leaving them maybe a foot apart. He figured this was as good an opportunity as any to bring up the seashell top and make a joke, right? "And about those seashells... is that a challenge?" he said, stopping the shaking of his head and pointing a mock serious finger at her, "because if so, I accept. The next time you see me I will be looking fabulous in seashell tops and this lovely grass skirt. You won't be able to resist me. Plus," he leaned in a little more as if he was going to tell her a secret, "I don't mean to brag or nothing, but, I've got moves." Oddly, he didn't feel like he was joking. He didn't back up though. tag: @koda ooc: channeling her inner Nani, cause let's face it, if she grew up with Nani she'd be just as sarcastic | "Well I dunno about being fabulous but I am pretty cool." Lilo shrugged her shoulders with a closed smile. She didn't believe she was much fun but it was nice to think so sometimes. Lilo headed into the living room and eyed the grass blades on the table. It had taken her hours to collect them all, not to mention experiencing a near death experience with a snarling wolf. That was a story for another time, though
"I'm sure the woods has bigger leaves. All the thin ones came from the pool area." She stated before spinning on her heel to find herself close to her friend once more. She didn't even flinch at the close proximity. It was as if she was use to being this close with her hands on her hips with such attitude. As if she experienced this often in her world before.
She shook off that odd feeling when Koda brought up the sea shells and she allowed a groan to escape her lips. She tightened her jaw and pursed her lips to show how unamused she was with the topic of seashells. It honestly wouldn't surprise her that he would have a few dance moves himself but she wasn't going to focus on that.
Lilo playfully smacked his finger out of the way before turning and making her way to the coffee table. "Oh you accept, do ya?" She looked over at him with her chin tucked close to her chest and her eyebrows raised. It was all just a joke but if she played this right it could actually happen.
She exclaimed, dramatically flinging her hand to her forehead, "You're right, Koda. How ever will I cope?" she took the extra steps back to him and grabbed his upper arm dramatically. "You're already so irresistible!" Sarcasm spilled from Lilo's mouth but it was all in good fun.
Lilo moved her hand up to his shoulder and patted him a couple times. Her face dropped from a sarcastic smile to her normal resting face. "Alright, fine. Wear the seashells. I could use a good laugh." |

Koda simply chuckled as she went on to act all humble and whatnot. He listened as she explained the woods not having bigger leaves. He nodded, but wasn't able to come up with a verdict before that moment when she spun around. As her lips pursed and her jaw tightened, Koda held his ground. He raised an eyebrow at her as she questioned his acceptance of the challenge, not moving other than that. The sarcasm came swiftly after that as her hand came to his upper arm. He tried to keep a straight face, but that 'irresistible' comment of hers broke his smolder. He broke out into a full laugh, throwing his head back until she patted his shoulder as she mentioned needed a good laugh. "Lilo, you're quite the tease," he said, trying to feign a 'hurt' type of expression, but failing miserably as he could not stop smiling. "You will see my seashells and take it very seriously," he challenged with another little chuckle, reaching his free hand up to then tap the tip of her nose before side stepping around her to get a better look at the leaves once more. "A'ight. Well, we could try and work with these if you think it's possible."LILO KAIPO PELEKAI
