[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] LOVE IN A COFFEE SHOP [attr="class","next"] The sun shined down from the sky above, but just barely made it through the clouds as it was quite early in the morning. Nimue, co-community leader of the village was on her way to the coffee shop she visited every morning before showing up for work. It seemed she was not a very nice person without her caffeine, especially when dealing with the less mature folk. Not the children of course, they had an excuse, but the adults who still needed to learn to grow up. Perhaps she was just a stickler, or maybe she had grown up too fast. After all, she was only twenty-four trying to play leader to the villagers despite some being much older than herself. Her blue eyes settled on the door to the shop she knew so well, her hand reaching out and grasping the door's handle in order to pull it open. Despite her craving for caffeine, Nim put on a pleasant smile for the man behind the counter. He was much older, but always so kind. He was the type that was hard to be mean to, not that she ever desired to be nasty to anyone. Only truly those who deserved it. Like those who littered. It was when she turned around with her coffee in hand that she saw a few teenagers start walking toward the door without picking up their trash. One even tossed a cup, missed the trash, and left it there. "Hey." Nimue called out to them, following them as well. The small group of three stopped and turned with horrid faces on. "You should be more respectful to this shop. Go back and pick up your trash." Honestly, she did not want to deal with this that early in the morning. What were they even doing up? Didn't teenagers like to sleep in? They giggled, while one of them mocked her, causing her eyebrows to furrow in frustration. She opened her mouth again to speak, but one beat her to the punch. "Oh, go somewhere lady." The boy said, before throwing the rest of his drink on her and then running out with the rest.

| Atwell's life revolved around coffee. It simply had to with his late nights and early mornings. Being a parent was a lot of work but he knew it was worth every second of it. The man didn't go to the store on his own, he had gone maybe once or twice but he was definitely with Tania when he did go. Tania was his best friend and she took care of him and his daughter which included grocery shopping. Unfortunately Atwell was all out of coffee in the house thus he was forced to go to a coffee shop this morning.
"Woah!" Atwell let out as one of the teenagers ran right into him as he was walking into the shop. The teenager was in a hurry after rudely throwing his drink at a customer. Unfortunately for the teen, Atwell had seen his last act and grabbed the boy's shoulder as he tried to get around him. "Ay, I don't think so, bub." He pulled him back into the doorway and leaned his head so he could see the teen's face. Oh of course he knew the teen. Atwell narrowed his eyes, he knew better than this. "Apologize." He spoke sternly and immediately the boy was apologizing to him for running into him. "Not to me, ya cheeky little- To her." He nodded to the woman he had thrown his drink on. The apology he gave the woman wasn't a very good one, nor did it seem sincere enough but Atwell allowed him to leave anyway since he was sure they wouldn't get a better apology from him.
"And stop turning in paw prints from ya mut and passing it off as your art. I'm not stupid!" Atwell called after him as the teen ran to catch up with his friends. He shook his head as he entered the coffee shop to see the woman who was victimized to such a rude crime. "I'm sorry, miss." Atwell immediately went and grabbed her napkins from the counter behind her. "Teens. They're the worst sometimes." He admitted as he took the napkin to her lower cheek where the liquid had splashed. "Unfortunately, I have to deal with 'em everyday." Atwell exhaled loudly with a smile upon his face to let her know that although he was frustrated with one student he didn't actually hate his job.
He brushed the napkin across her cheek and placed his left hand gently on the bottom of her chin to tilt it up to check for more. The man was so use to cleaning up his daughter's face after dessert that this was so normal to him. The majority of the drink seemed to be on her neck and chest but with a glance to it he realised this was not his job. He was cleaning up a stranger who could take care of herself. His eyes darting back up and made direct eye contact with her. "Uhm." He paused, "You can.. Handle the rest." his light smile turned into a more uneasy, awkward grin as he offered her the napkins in his hands.

[googlefont="Open Sans Condensed:300"] LOVE IN A COFFEE SHOP [attr="class","next"] She was stunned. Nimue was absolutely shocked and appalled at what she had just endured. Never had she ever had to deal with a child so unruly. It seemed that the boy would not get away with it though, as he ran into another man that had seen the incident. Taking a deep breath, she started to brush her hand over the stain on her shirt while the man brought the boy back inside to apologize. At first, it was to the man, but it soon got rerouted to herself. It was after the boy caught up to his friends that the man approached her. "It's not your fault." She answered his apology, looking down at her shirt again and continuing to brush at it. It slightly startled her when she felt the napkin on her cheek, her eyes immediately meeting his. Nim was going to tell him she was just fine, that she didn't need his help. She could handle this on her own, but she couldn't stop staring at him. Not only was she in shock now from his comfort of touching strangers, but he was handsome. Tall, dark, and handsome really fit the bill here. A light shade of pink colored her cheeks as he tilted her chin up. She listened to him as he spoke, but most of it barely registered as her mind was elsewhere at the moment. Nim snapped out of it when he told her she could finish up. It took a slight moment, but she soon realized what was stopping him. "Oh, yes." She cleared her throat as she took the napkins from him. "Uhm, thank you, for your help. You really didn't have to do that. Any of it." She told him with a small smile, referring both to him wiping her off and making the boy apologize. "Can I get you anything for your trouble?"

| Atwell was a father now. For months he had taken in a child whom he adored with all his heart. He was use to doing things for her now which included helping her clean up messes. It was typically paint that he helped her clean off because she was too busy to hop in the shower that day. It was a habit to help clean up messes in the house and well as in his art room thus it was so natural for him to help when the woman was splashed with liquid.
He reacted quickly with many napkins but it was soon brought to his attention that, although his intentions were good, he shouldn't be cleaning this complete stranger. Atwell's eyes met her's after it had registered to him that she was an adult capable of taking care of herself. She had the most beautiful set of crystal blue eyes he had ever seen and it didn't hurt that she had a gorgeous face to match. The woman cleared her throat and Atwell was snapped back into reality. He handed her the napkins before taking a step back from her so he was no longer invaded her personal space.
The beautiful woman thanked him for his help and he simply smiled back at her. "Someone's gotta teach these kids some manners." Most of the children in Wonderland were orphans and the only authority figures they had were the teachers so it didn't surprise Atwell that many of them were not the most behaved. "Sorry 'bout that." He gestured to the napkins and the mess that still remained. "I'm so use to cleaning up after people.. It's a habit, I suppose." There were worst habits, he figured.
"Oh no, I got it." He responded when she asked if she could get anything for him. "You've been through enough already."
