It was time to open the Tea Room. March stepped over and switched the sign from "Closed" to "Open". He was about to walk away, but he turned. The sign was slightly crooked. He stepped over and fixed it and was about to walk off again when he turned. Still crooked. He tried this several times, then finally got frustrated. "You think you're clever, aren't you, sir... miss?" he snapped. "Wait you have no gender. Hmm... trickier by the minute. Well if you think I need you to let people know we're open, then think again, sign! I can just unlock this door!" He then unlocked the door. "See! I win this round!" He then took the sign and threw it on a table. He was about to walk off when he walked back and straightened the sign again on the table. "Enough of that, you!"He then began writing on the chalkboard on the wall. "Hmm... what can be the daily special today?" he said. "Well yesterday it was raspberry tea, then the day before that blueberry, then the day before that raspberry, then the day before that blueberry, then raspberry, then blueberry, then raspberry... of course! How silly of me! Strawberry it is!" He wrote out the special and then made his way behind the counter. EVANGELINE RAE ÉTOILE

"HOLY MOLEY, ME OH MY!" If Evangeline loved anything more than staring up at the sky at night, it was tea. Lemon tea, green tea, chai tea, you name it and she drank it. The warm liquid sliding down her throat always made her feel happiness. It seemed that these days Evangeline was trying something new every single day. Sure, some residents wondered why they couldn't leave Wonderland, but holy crap! Did they not see what a magnificent place it was? Singing flowers, shops, mansions and that new gentlemen's club that she had accidentally wandered into the the other night. Let's just say that wasn't her cup of tea and she wasn't planning on going back there any time soon. That's another story, so let's move on. This place, she knew for sure she would like.
"Strawberry tea?" her eyes widened in amazement as she read the sign. She'd never tried strawberry tea before, this was going to be good. She plopped herself down on one of the big, comfortable chairs and smiled up at the man in front of her. They'd never met, but she wasn't shy around strangers. In fact, it was going to be hard to get her to shut up once she started talking and asking questions. There was always something that amazed her about this land. "I hear you have the best tea in the land."

March was unknowingly reading a book upside down when the girl entered the place. "What bizarre language is this?" he asked. "Young writers, always innovative but hardly intellectual." He then heard the girl speak of the strawberry tea. He looked about. "Strawberry tea? Where? I'd love a cup!" He then saw the chalkboard. "Ah yes, that. It's the special today, you know? Buy one cup and get the second at equal price. You'd be hard pressed to find a better deal elsewhere in Wonderland, and that's the Marvin March guarantee. By the way, my name is Marvin March. Nice to meet you!"March's eyes then widened when she said she heard he had the best tea in the land. "Who's been talking about me?" he gasped. "And assuming such things about my tea? I bet it's that cheery fellow from the Putt-Putt. He came in just yesterday and said that I had the best tea in the land. Did he tell you that? And who told him? There's a mystery here! I must close the shop and solve it!" He then marched out of the shop, but walked back in a few seconds later. "I forgot to grab my hat, and without my hat there is just no point in going out. So what can I get for you? We have the best tea in the land, you know?" EVANGELINE RAE ÉTOILE

"HOLY MOLEY, ME OH MY!" The Putt-Putt? Yet another place on Evangeline's bucket list today! She grinned as the man walked out then immediately came back. He was silly, she liked it. So many people were so serious all the time, but this Marvin March was nothing like them. Evangeline's dainty hands reached out to grab herself a cup of tea, she wasn't going to wait for him to get through his crisis, she needed that tea.
"I had a dream the other night, the same one that I've had ever night since." She wasn't sure if Marvin was listening, but it didn't make a difference to her, she was going to get this off her chest. Somehow under the impression that this man doubled as therapist, she continued. "I was all alone, but there were so many people below me. I tried to reach out, but it was no use, I didn't have anything to touch them with. And they all kept talking to me, asking me to give them happiness, love, money. I was a slave to their every whim... isn't that weird?"
She stopped talking for a minute, only to take a sip of her the warm liquid in her teacup. Her eyes grew wide with excitement and she hastily placed the cup back on the table. "Mr March, this tea is amazing!"

March watched as the girl took the tea and beamed. "That's a brilliant idea!" he said. "Having tea in a tea room! I'll have a cup myself!" He poured himself a cup and sipped it. "Ah, it's been so long since I've had a good cup a tea. Ten minutes in fact."He then listened as she spoke of this dream she was having. It sounded very odd. In fact it sounded down right crazy. March hung on every word though. When she was done, he looked at her for a moment. "Hold on, I might be able to help you," he said. He then disappeared and returned with a pair of eyeglasses on and a Stethoscope. He placed the end of the Stethoscope on her forehead. "Hmmm...mmm...hmm...mmm... I believe I figured out the problem here. I can't see a blasted thing with these glasses on." He took them off and tossed them away. "You know, if you ask me, you have Grabelowaphobia... that's the fear of reaching down to people from high places. I had a fellow who came in with that one time. And you know what I did for him? Absolutely nothing. Because I am not a doctor." He nodded matter-of-factedly. He then smiled when she said the tea was amazing. "Well of course," he said. "You and I can't have a very Merry Un-birthday without a good tea. It's just not done."EVANGELINE RAE ÉTOILE
