Under the sea is always better? Yes, it is. Anyone who tells you differently, is wrong. This world we live in now, called Wonderland, is strange and mysterious. I was born in the ocean, heir to the throne of Atlantica. Six sisters were born after me, all a year apart. I was close to them all, despite our differences. However, it seemed the hardest to get close to Ariel. She was the reckless one, with a passion for adventure. I was the heir, meaning the rules could never be broken. I had to be perfect, never failing in the duties to come. My time was usually spent with my father, learning the ways of the kingdom and making sure everything was right in our world. I also tended to take on a motherly role over my sisters. After all, our mother died when we were very young, and daddy never remarried. Who else would have stepped up to the plate? No one. I was the oldest, therefore, it was my job, and my job alone.[break][break]
Things changed for Atlantica when my sister, Ariel, met that human boy Eric. We were forbid to go to the surface. Humans were evil and would only want to harm us. That's what father always said. But she fell in love with one. I never understood it though. She had only seen the prince. She had never actually spoken to him or met him. Well, until she went to Ursula, the sea witch. That's when things became even more serious. It was one thing to fall for and be intrigued by the humans, but to go to the sea witch? What was she thinking? She had put us all in danger, and despite her family being in the ocean, she became a human to try and win the affections of the prince she didn't even know. [break][break]
Fortunately, everything worked out in the end. The sea witch had tried to foil the plan. She tried to make Eric believe that she was the one he loved. However, the enchantment had been broken and Eric had seen the truth. It was he who saved Ariel and took down that awful hag. For that, I will be forever grateful. While she was gone though, it was a nightmare. No one had known until after the fact, except for father, what was going on. Everyone was scared that Ariel would never return or that she had been harmed. Thankfully, she was alright. In the end, father granted her the luxury of being human, so she could be with the one she loved. I was happy for her, really, but I still thought it was too fast. At least she is safe now.[break][break]
Well, until the curse hit. We were all swept away to this strange land I mentioned before. I remember being so confused, but at the same time, I felt a responsibility for the people surrounding me. I stayed calm and forged a plan with Kit Princeton. He became the community leader, and I lead under him as his co-leader. Life is strange now, but I've gotten used to it. I'm still trying to just be perfect and not fail those around me. I can't let them down.
