It was believed than whenever Vincent Vermanas Rattshire walked by, the warm summer breeze became an icy wind. This was of course not literally true. Vincent had no more magic than any other inhabitant of Wonderland (supposedly anyway). But the fact was that if one was feeling warm and cheerful, they would feel quite cold when the man passed them. They would also feel relieved. If he passed them, it meant that he had no business to conduct with them. Not having business to conduct with Rattshire was a good thing. It usually meant that one didn't owe him anything at the moment.
Moving about with his cane, he looked ahead, not caring to notice any humble worker he didn't care to intimidate at the time. Then, he suddenly stopped and slowly turned his head. He had arrived at the place he was scheduled to visit that day. He has two assistants with him, one male and one female and held out his hand to the one on the right. The female assistant handed him a book. He then held out his other hand to the left and the male handed him a pen. He wrote down something, had his assistants take the items away, and made his way into the shop.
