It had been prophesied that their arrival would bring the Age of the Jaguar and in this time, all the wicked would be purged from El Dorado. So you were taught to be good, to be brave, and to worship the gods all your life. Sometimes it was harder said than done, especially if you were the kind of person that accidentally made all the wrong choices. Chel could have had a perfect life if her high strung personality didn't get in the way. Both of her parents were temple hands, often working close for the King, a tradition passed down in the family and one of the most revered jobs. If she'd only precisely followed in their steps after they both passed away, she could have been set for life. Helping her King, but never exploring whatever was out of the boundaries of El Dorado. Chel was not the type to settle down in one place, she felt the urge to see what was out there.

That same urge is what drove her to steal from the temple. She had easy access to it, it was basically dangling in her face every day. It was her ticket out of here, she knew she could use it, somehow. Besides, with her parents gone, she had no one to keep her here. She started out small, testing the guards every single time. Then when she realized none was the wiser of her petty theft, her confidence grew. It was a bright sunny day, the citizens of El Dorado were going about their normal lives. The King was no where near sight and neither were the guards. She could see her hands shaking as she reached out to tentatively touch the golden article. Chel told herself it was too late to change her mind, she had to do this now or never. Then she ran with it. Somewhere along the way, one of the temple guards caught sight of her and the ornament she held close to her chest. Their footsteps echoed behind her, but she didn't dare look back. It wasn't until she quite literally bumped into Miguel and Tulio that the severity of her crime formed in her head.

Luckily, for her, getting chummy with the pretend deities gave her a new way out. She'd figured their facade early on, something she used to get in on their plan. After all, who knew more about El Dorado than her? It was her knowledge of the locals that helped them keep the charade on for so long. Somehow, business mixed with pleasure in the process. Tulio not only provided her a connection to the world she so longed to be part of, he gave her the company she'd been missing for so long.

That was then, this is now....

Araceli Itzel De Oro. Nothing else was on her mind after waking up in Wonderland. She watched the first few days, unsure if the people around her where in the same predicament. Some residents seemed to pick up faster than others, making a nice living for themselves. She wanted that, she wanted to live a comfortable life and not have a worry in the world. It didn't take too long for her to find her own place in Wonderland, a fun job, and gold. All she had to do was prance around on stage for a couple of hours at night and the men of Wonderland would throw money at her feet. It was easy as pie and the perks were amazing. She built up an impressive list of regular customers with too much money to spend and too much time on their hands.
[break][break]
Araceli is a street wise, feisty, Latina who won't let anyone pull one over her and she certainly isn't afraid to speak her mind. She's a very alluring girl, often giving her customers a false sense of security around her. Once they let their guard down around her, they confide too much in her. Araceli has heard many secrets that could destroy the reputation of many influential residents of Wonderland. So far, she hasn't acted on any of this information, she wants to make sure that when the time comes, she will get the most out of it. Until then, she'll continue to bat her eyelashes at them and hope to gather as much information as she can.
