Neil wiped the recently-vacated table down with a wet rag and realigned the salt and pepper shakers, then took a deep breath and grabbed stacks of plates, running them back to the kitchen before emerging again near the bar. He gave a sigh and seated himself on a nearby stool, resting his chin in his hand and playing with an empty shot glass that was nearby. He would normally be back in the kitchen cooking, and it would be the waiters and waitresses taking orders and cleaning up after people, but tonight was pretty slow. Even the most popular restaurants had their nights where business wasn't the best, especially those in towns as small as Wonderland was. Not everyone could afford to go out and eat every night, and establishments like Neil's Eats Hut were considered to be more of a special occasion type place than just going and getting grub kind of place. That was something that he intended to change in the future. Neil, as a business owner, was always thinking of ways to improve business and score more points with clientele. Word of mouth about his cooking was already making the rounds around town, and getting good results, so perhaps it would be just as easy to spread the word as to the addition of new menu options like sandwiches and smaller, grab-and-go items. Perhaps he could even package things like his famous homemade kettle-cooked potato chips and coleslaw, and send that with the sandwiches as a lunch. Though he enjoyed the thought of more business, money, and food in peoples' belly, he really wished he had some company right about now. It would be very nice. And it seemed that he might be granted his wish as the door swung open. MADE BY VEL OF GS

IF HE'S LYING DON'T COME CRYING! mother knows best. Amara waited on her last table at the Tavern, glad that the patrons were slowly trickling out. some were sober and others were drunk, just like every night. It was something that Amara was rather use to by now after having worked at the tavern for as long as she could remember. Many of the drunken male patrons since she had turned twenty-one had tried to buy her drinks and thankfully she had the ability to say no. for some reason today was rather slow so the last patron was gone earlier and Amara quickly punched out. surely the owner wouldn’t mind her leaving earlier; she just needed the fresh air, and food that wasn’t cooked by the tavern’s chef. She loved the man, but she was tired of his cooking. She had gotten a lot of tips that night, mostly from drunken males, but she had enough to actually get a good meal. Maybe. Well at least she hoped.
Many of the patrons of the tavern told her of a nice little place to eat, sure it was a little on the expensive side but it was supposedly amazing, so after leaving the tavern in the dust she walked down the small little pathway to Neil’s Eats Hut, it wasn’t that far away and in no time she arrived, pulling open the door to the nice little place. She looked around.

Neil glanced up and caught sight of a young woman, with dark red/auburn hair and a nice figure, looking around with anticipation and curiosity. She seemed very rumpled, but eager; from the looks of it, she had probably just gotten off work, most probably a long night, demanding working conditions, the whole shebang. The chef smiled. A customer! Food always made frazzled nerves strong again, especially after a long shift; at least that was his experience. She had come to the right place, Neil thought with a twinge of pride. He could definitely make her something that would fit her budget. It was true that his place was a little more expensive than your standard place, it wasn't by much, and there was a lot more variety. Also, he made almost everything from scratch. He did his best to keep prices down despite that. Since he had given all his employees the option to take the night off, and they had opted to go on home, even Bucky, he was all she had. Neil grabbed a menu from the rack on the side of the bar, then hopped over to her. "Welcome to Neil's Eats Hut, Miss! I'm Neil, I'll be your server and chef." It was hard to contain the excitement in his voice, and it seemed that his talkative side was trying to break free right out of the starting gate. "I, uh, also happen to own the place." He rubbed the back of his head and grinned a little more. "Anyway, would you like a seat at the counter or a table?" If she picked the former, he would seat her at the closest place to the chef's slot so he could talk to her while he cooked her meal. If she picked the latter, he hoped that she would order something that didn't require constant attention, so that he could duck out and talk to her while it was cooking. @mothergothel getting a little pushy there, love? haha, jk <33 thanks for the reminder ~ I've been meaning to do Kronk replies, but I keep getting distracted :c MADE BY VEL OF GS

if he's lying don't come crying. Her eyes wandered over the little establishment, it was nice. It was better than the Tavern that was for sure, she wouldn’t mind working here. But alas, that was impossible. Well at least in her mind that was impossible. Her mind was taken over the nice looking place as a male moved towards her; he looked rather excited, and happy. Someone that was happy in the business, which was a nice sight. She was surprised to hear that he was her server, chef and the owner of the nice place. “Well aren’t you a busy man then.” she said with a small smile upon her face, his grin caused her to smile more as he asked her where she wanted to be seated, she looked around “Surprise me.” she said to him. She liked surprises, well usually she did, and right now she was looking for a change and a surprise of wherever she sat would do just fine in her mind. TEMPLATE BY MINNIE OF GANGNAM STYLE
