when all is crumbling
I STEADY YOUR HAND
It had been a fine day for Pearl. By batting her eyelashes a few times, she managed to get a whole loaf of freshly baked bread. She didn't bother to cut it, since she didn't really have the materials; instead she ripped off chunks somewhat lazily to nibble on.
Even though some actual food for a change was a joyous change for Pearl, it was a bit boring to achieve and Pearl was looking for something more interesting to do. She paused when she stumbled upon a building. It looked like it could house several people, and Pearl had never seen it before, which only made the young girl more intrigued.
She skipped forward, excited to find something she hadn't found in Wonderland yet. Pearl stopped running abruptly, however, when she saw a young girl in front of the building. "Do you know what this place is?" Pearl asked after she chomped on another piece of bread.
