Well... it had happened. The curse had worked to perfection... well near perfection. Half the Panel had their memories wiped as well, leaving Evelyn and Maleficent. It was a true shame. Cruella and Ursula could have been of further good use. However, Evelyn would make the most of it. She ruled this Wonderland, along with Maleficent, who posed as both her sister and her adviser. Not wishing to raise Maleficent's... or rather Malia's wrath and spoil everything, the Queen made it clear that one and all respected her adviser's authority as they would her own.
Now that she had settled in the Palace of Hearts, it was time for her to go out and meet the subjects. She wanted to make sure one and all were in line. Curse or not, there could be those who decided to be a bit rebellious. She would need to know who... and then tend to them. It would be a shame to have that beautiful prison go to waste after all. What a beautiful addition Snow White would make to it.
Arriving in the village in her beautiful ebony carriage and an armed escort, Evelyn stepped out and looked around. He smirked at what he saw, people she and her peers once considered enemies now humbled. None of them would dare cross her, and even if they did, they would be powerless. All the magic belonged to her and Maleficent after all. Heck, most of her new subjects didn't even believe in magic. Suddenly, she was nearly knocked down by the howl of one of her escorts.
"All cease your activities and acknowledge the presence of Evelyn, Queen Of Wonderland!" he exclaimed.
"...Thank you," said Evelyn, giving him a cold stare. She then watched as the subjects did so, taking in their humility. "You can all go about your business now. After all, it's to all our benefits for you to make money... tax time and all."

Keith helped the others with the buildings and the village when it was created, he himself had a store, The Meow's Meham. It was the best place to get all of the tricks and pranks. Keith enjoyed his shop just as much as he enjoyed being away from it. So he closed down the store and made his way out. He saw as the Queen's carriage flew past him. Deciding to check it out the man made his way to the area the horses had stopped.
Watching the woman get out he smiled wide and made his way towards her. As the woman told everyone to get back to work he was now part of the crowd. No one really saw him enter or move around, mostly because they didn't care or because he was too quiet for them to notice. A true man who was soft on his feet.
When the crowd went back to work he simply made his way up to the woman and made a small sloppy bow. "Good evening your grace. What a beautiful site to see. A queen in the place of...... well, not royalty." He looked at her, his smile bright and big, almost creepy. Keith however, was not scared of the woman. He wasn't really scared of anyone, well for as he remembered at least. He really didn't know why he didn't fear anyone but he guessed it was a good thing.

The Queen didn't think anyone was going to approach her. She had ordered them to get back to work after all. She wanted her little... inspection done peacefully after all. She wanted to enjoy surveying the peasants without drama. She had enough drama as it was before the Curse was cast. She wanted a peaceful of ruling everyone else's from here on out.
Then a rather handsome but annoying fellow approached her. He bowed, but there seemed to be a bit of mockery behind it. It made her wonder if he was one of the Wonderland inhabitants at one time. They had a subtle way of annoying one if she recalled. However now things were different. They didn't have the magic to perform their trickery as they once did.
"And just who are you?" asked Evelyn with spite of her own. "You have some courage to approach me after I gave a royal order to return to your business. I suppose I can admire that... to an extent. Who are you... and what do you do here?" She gave him a stern look, as if to say that he needed to answer and do so quickly. She wasn't one for dilly-dally.

Keith looked at the woman, she looked quite annoyed with him and he wasn't sure why. He was just, well trying to be nice. Though most did get annoyed with him and for that he was unsure why. As the beautiful woman asked who he was, he smiled a wide bright smile.
"Thank you for asking, I am Keith Thomas." When she asked where he worked he nodded. "Right, well you see I work in the local Joke Shop. It's called the Meow's Mayhem." he snickered a little as he spoke the next thing. "I often close it from time to time. I like to visit with the locals, get tea, and roam the woods. Something about this whole familiarity with the woods drives me crazy. Ever get that feeling that something is missing?" he laughed a little trying to make the queen smile.
He then pulled a rose out that was as beautiful as she. " A beautiful rose for a beautiful Queen." The man offered it to her and smiled. "Why such the long face? For beauty as such, as your's should not be such a stern look, but a smile as bright as a sunny day."

Evelyn listened as the man introduced himself. Keith Thomas... but just who was he once before the Curse turned him into this handsome, but pest of a fellow. Then it all became clear... well part of it. He ran a joke shop. He had a sense of humor, and Evelyn detested that. True there were things that amused her... mostly the deeds she had done... but overall she wasn't a fan of the funny.
"As much as I appall the idea of a joke shop, Mr. Thomas, I highly recommend you keep your business open more often, pending it draws money. The money it makes pays the taxes my palace sets for the village, and in return I permit all of you to live in comfort. No taxes paid... no comfort. Understand that equation, Mr. Thomas?" She looked at his coldly, but curiously again. She should have known who he once was, but just couldn't place him.
Suddenly, the man went from annoying to charming. Evelyn did love a nice gift after all, especially from a handsome gentleman. And most of all she loved being called beautiful. Slowly she took the rose and smelled it. He then continued with the smooth talk. It was as if he was trying to cheer her up.
"Oh trust me, Mr. Thomas, I have little to be upset about today," she said. "I am Queen after all, and this is my kingdom. Nevertheless, thank you for the rose. It's nice to be assured that there is some loyalty even in one like you."

music | Keith - others Keith laughed, he didn't mind if his shop went out of business he ran it out of his home and most of his items he had in stock and would last him a long time. Yet he was not going to argue with the lady. "Your right, I "should" keep my store open but what your not seeing is I always have it open later then others. People stop in more after work." He smiled. When she said she was happy that made Keith smile. "Only a beautiful queen should get a beautiful rose." when she made the comment that their was loyalty in someone like him he gave a cute pout face. "I don't do it for just anyone." He snickered. That was the truth, Keith didn't care that she was a queen, right now he was entertained and well he wanted to entertain her as well, so you could say he was going to be pretty loyal to her at the moment. Keith always had a way of playing both sides of the coin, but when it came down to it he would always choose the good side of the coin. |

Evelyn tensed a bit at the idea of someone keeping their shop open late. To her, people out after dark were up to no good. She knew. She schemed quite a bit after dark. However, she didn't want others causing trouble then... especially causing her trouble. She smiled at him. If something made her uncomfortable, all she would have to do is establish a new rule here and there.
"Well I certainly hope that it's not too late," she said. "There is a curfew after all. Can't have anyone out and about with so many nasty characters running here and there in Wonderland, can we?" She then grew serious. "See to it that your shop is closed by an appropriate time or... who knows... I might just pay an unwelcomed visit."
She said he was loyal, but when he said he didn't give a rose to just anyone, she wondered if her words held true. She knew all about manipulation, and felt an odd vibe off of Keith. Perhaps he wasn't trying to manipulate her, but she could never take too much caution.
"I like to award loyalty, you know?" she said. "Why don't you come by my palace for dinner... say... six o'clock tomorrow evening? I'll see what you can do for you... and what you can do for me."
