It had been strange. Simba had been given a leadership role when he never recalled doing anything to earn it. However, for some reason he did know what he was doing. As Community Leader, he knew how to be just, fair, and kind to the people he watched over. He knew how to be a leader.
Simba stepped out of his home and took a brisk walk, hoping to converse with a few people as he went about. Unlike the Queen, who seemed to hide away in her luxurious palace for long periods, Simba became involved with what others did. He wanted to know what others in the community were up to, and if any projects were planned to help better the community. He made sure to do so without asking too many questions or prying too much. After all, he respected the private lives of the people there.
He stepped over and saw two elderly ladies selling some crafts they had made in order to help some of the less fortunate in the community, as well as the neighboring village. With taxes from the Queen being what they were, many could use a helping hand. He smiled at the two as he removed some money from his own pocket and purchased a lovely necklace for his daughter.
"Keep up the fine work, ladies," he said. He then nodded a farewell and continued walking.

MOOD: Happy MUSE: The Croods WORDS: 244 TAGGED: @simba OTHER: Shes a bit down about Kovu XD KIARA SARABI PRIDEKiara was avoiding the chores she was set to do each morning. She didn't want to be a Community Leader, she wanted to be herself. She didn't know who she wanted to be, but she knew she wanted to be free. However, the last thing she wanted to do was disappoint her father. She loved him, he took her in when everyone had forgotten who they were, she knew that he was her father and she didn't want to make him upset with her. So she finished up her morning duties and walked out of the last building.
"Goodbye Ms. Sandy see you in two days. Keep up the good work with the fruit plants. I can't wait to taste those strawberries." Kiara waived at the woman and closed the door. She then spotted the woods. She wondered what he was doing and if he even missed her. She missed him, he was her best friend and he didn't want her around. With a sigh the girl turned away from the view of the woods and put a smile on her face.
Walking down the main stretch of the fields she waived at everyone and said good morning. She was playing the part she was born to do but mostly everyone could see it was an act. Seeing her father she walked up behind him and stood on her tippy toes and covered his eyes lightly.
"Guess who?" She said smiling a true smile. MADE BY DANNIMARIEEE of CAUTION 2.0

Simba was walking along when he heard someone walking behind him. This was nothing to get excited about in general. A lot of people were out in the Fields doing all manner of things. One rarely walked alone there, at least in the day time. It wasn't until the hands came over his eyes and he heard her sweet voice that he knew it was his daughter. Simba turned and smiled at Kiara. It was odd how he found Kiara and took her in the way he did. It almost didn't feel like an adoption. It was... well it was as if she was truly... and literally his daughter. Simba never understood that, but he never questioned it either. In his mind, she was his daughter, and he loved her dearly.
"I'm guessing the prettiest girl in the Fields," he said, taking his daughter's hands into his and kissing her on the cheek. "And the most clever. I had no idea that was you behind me. I'm glad you're here though. I wanted to talk to you about something important. Oh..." he then reached into his shirt pocket and removed the necklace he had bought for her. "A little something I picked up for you." She motioned that he wanted to put it around her neck, but he waited for her to give him permission.
