Tiger Lily was born to a Chief of the Indian tribe in Neverland. She lived a life of luxury as the princess of the tribe, but she was never spoiled. She turned her nose up at others not out of spite but because she was proud of where she came from, and thought others looked down on her and her tribe. Sure, their tactics might not have been completely nice, but living in Neverland isn't easy. There were pirates and fairies and crocodiles and everything in between trying to get at them. Tiger Lily often was the butt of games between the Lost Boys and her own tribe, though she was sure that the Lost Boys thought nothing more of her than a silly girl. Tiger Lily was more than that, though - much, much more.[break][break]
Unlike typical girls, Tiger Lily was hard-working. She did things that other women in her tribe didn't, including fetching water, gathering berries and other foods, and for that she was looked up to despite her young age. She didn't have a mother to look after her, only her father, and her father was much too busy with his plans for the tribe as their Chief. Tiger really stepped up to the plate when her father needed her to. She didn't need looked after because she could look after herself. She became quite independent in that regard, and at a very early age, too. By the age of ten, Tiger Lily was practically an adult, and she acted as one, too. She was mature in her demeanor and sophisticated, and quite proud and brave, as well. [break][break]
Along with her sophistication and early growing up came a flirtatious nature. Tiger Lily, amongst the games and playful banter between her tribe and the Lost Boys, became infatuated with Peter Pan. He was a fellow, a peer, but he was a boy, and while she knew he would never grow up and be the man for her that she needed, Tiger Lily couldn't quite help the emotional undertow in which he took her. She sought after him and met with him in the forest and even sneaked kisses to him when he couldn't help himself. She liked to think it was a mutual exchange of emotions and feelings, but in the end Tiger Lily was not serious about Peter at all. She knew he would never grow up and take charge and responsibility of his feelings, and because of that, it was left merely as yet another game to him.[break][break]
One day came when Captain Hook kidnapped her and, for whatever reason, despite the fact that she hated him and all he stood for, there was something clever about him that aroused Tiger Lily. There was no such thing from him, though, and it was no game - tied to a chair, she almost lost her life that day if it hadn't been for Peter Pan. While Peter and her would never be anything more than flirtatious friends, he had in fact saved her, and that meant the world to her. A deep friendship became rooted between Peter Pan and her tribe, unlike ever before, and Peter was graced with a kiss that night. And while Tiger Lily knew that his new friend, Wendy, was watching, she didn't hold back on said kiss. [break][break]
Life went on while Peter continued his games and she grew up. It wasn't as though Tiger Lily could help growing up, after all. She had already grown up so much before her tenth birthday that it was inevitable that she would grow to become a woman and all. Peter Pan continued his friendship with her and the tribe, but as he stayed a boy, it became quite inappropriate for her to continue their flirtatious ways, and Tiger Lily's sights set on someone else - someone forbidden, the man who'd almost killed her. And it wasn't as though anything would ever come of that desire, because of course it could never be, but Tiger Lily couldn't help her mind from wandering. [break][break]
There was nothing out of the ordinary on the day that the curse hit. Tiger Lily was sitting in her tent when her father shouted and things became a blur and then, suddenly, everything went dark. She awoke in a field of flowers in a world that she didn't know. Tiger Lily was distraught and confused, along with what seemed like everyone else around her. Now having been in Wonderland for some time, Tiger Lily is still uneasy about her new life. She isn't used to it like some people seem to be and frankly she wants out. She wants to know what happened to her and why, and she wants to go back to the life she lead - no matter how horrible it was. As far as she's concerned, nothing is as horrible as not knowing who you are. [break][break]
