Born to Bob and Helen Parr, Violet Parr did not have a normal life. However, it can be said that she had an interesting one. The Incredibles were not some ordinary family. Oh, no. They were a family of superheroes. The strength of the family, quite literally, Mr. Incredible and the one that can stretch to great lengths, Elastigirl. Together, they created three beautiful children, all with different powers. While her youngest brother turned into, God knows what, and her younger brother had super speed, Violet possessed both invisibility and a force field that could protect her from many forms of harm. [break][break]
In the beginning, Violet had been a very timid young lady. She never wore her hair up or pushed her bangs back. She allowed her hair to cover her face as much as was physically possible, in order to try to hide herself. The eldest Parr child did not have many people in her life that she called friends. She was withdrawn and uncertain about herself, with some self-esteem issues added to the mix. There was even this boy that she had a crush on, but due to her social awkwardness and shyness, she never spoke to him. In fact, every time he came around, she'd try her best to hide, using her power if she needed to. Mainly, her life was just like any other teenager, minus the superpowers. However, things would change.[break][break]
His name was Buddy Pine, and he longed to be a superhero just like Violet's father. A few years prior, he was turned down by her father, and rejected - viewed as just someone who would get in the way. Because of this, Buddy turned to villainy instead and became the villain known as Syndrome. This man became a threat to everyone, causing the Incredible family to rise up and try to save the town. This included Violet, which at first scared her, but as she got used to it, she grew out of her tendencies to try to hide away. Though the threat was not at all good for the people, it seemed to have a positive effect on Violet. She became outgoing and strong, with a small amount of sass. She was not going to allow some dumb wannabe to mess with her family and the people she cared about. So she fought and she fought hard beside her family to defeat the jerk, and defeat him they did, even though it was not easy. After all, the man had kidnapped her and her brother. But they were returned safely to their parents shortly after.[break][break]
When the manchild disappeared, peace was restored to the town. Violet became more courageous - dressing differently, and pulling back her bangs. She started to make a lot more friends and get along with more people. Violet even caught the eye of Tony, her crush, and he ended up asking her out. Of course, she agreed. It was funny though, because he seemed more shy now than she was. But it was alright. Violet still adored him and couldn't wait for what was to come with her new self confidence. But then things changed. A curse hit, wiping their memories and taking away their happy endings. Violet has reverted into something in the middle of what she used to be. She is shy, and introverted. She doesn't make friends easily, but the ones she does make, she attaches to and becomes most loyal. Despite being shy though, she has a temper, that when pushed can be quite bad. And she can also be blunt and sarcastic. Still, she enjoys solitude rather than a large crowd, and she sticks to mainly those she already knows, afraid to get out and branch out.
