Living in the middle of an inactive volcano on an island located in the most obscure area of the Pacific Ocean was a fantastical dream yet it was something that Syndrome achieved. When he was young and stupid, he believed that it was the luck of the draw that would determine his success. Being a Super was genetic and you could either have the powers or not. He thought it was hopeless until he realized that he was not incapable. No, instead, he had to fight twice as hard to get the same amount of respect. But it was possible and he was only limited by his imagination and his income. The money was no longer an issue as he sold out his knowledge and his mechanical skills. Heroes weren’t just born, they were indeed made. And he could be one.
“You’re awfully moody today…” He addressed Mirage as he passed her in the hallway. Syndrome still wasn’t sure why it was that Mirage was giving him the silent treatment. It wasn’t like her to be sullen and ignore him if there was something wrong. Honestly, they work so well he could not even remember the last time that they had an argument. Well…sometimes she got snippy with him but he was quick to squash that down. He was never in the mood for rebellion in his ranks, especially with someone that he trusted so much.
Maybe it had something to do with that nasty business with him calling Mr. Incredible’s bluff and her being choked.
“…and it’s pissing me off,” He told her as he went to stand in front of her, preventing her from walking forward and ignore him. “I’m just…” He put his hand to his forehead, taking in a deep breath to prevent himself from getting too cross with her. “This is supposed to be a great day and you’re ruining it with your attitude.” His words were a cool anger, slowly gliding into more of a subtle whine.
