@anya Notes- Sorry its kinda short... Dimitri wandered around the village. He knew Vlad had something big planned but he hadn’t seen the man he calls his good friend in a while. He wondered if whatever con Vlad had planned was huge and needed a lot of prep work. The young man shook his head. Yeah it was always something with the two of them. He was surprised they haven’t gotten caught yet. He would knock on wood and hope that they never do end up getting caught.
Dimitri was a common conman and thief. He really didn’t care who he hurt in the process as long as he could get by. That would sound cruel and cold hearted to some people but to Dimitri not really. It was how he survived and how he had always known how to survive.
Dimitri, wearing his usual brown pants and white shirt with a green vest over it, walked out of the village and just totally didn’t care where he was going. He was just walking, trying to think of another plan, another con that he could pull off. He seemed to have wandered out into the rose garden. He really wasn’t one for flowers or any of the sorts, but the brunette decided to pick one anyway. He just held it in his hand and just continued to walk.

Apparently Anya was prone to being invisible! This was the second time today that someone, not paying attention to where they were walking, nearly ran into her. She stumbled out of the way as the brunette with the rose went by. She was fed up with it. "Hey" she called out, marching after him, "don't you know it's courteous to look where you're walking? Or are you too busy daydreaming about your girlfriend?" she growled, gesturing to the flower in his hand.
She has just been having a normal day, minding her own business and not causing anyone any trouble. She was distressed, a bit, because of her sinking in quicksand yesterday. Now she was extra cautious where she walked. However, it seemed no one else bothered to be cautious anymore! She was just part of the surroundings, it seemed.
She was used to the feeling, in a way, since coming to Wonderland. Many people had formed groups of friends and made themselves a home here. Anya, however, had mostly kept to herself. She hated this memory loss thing and couldn't help but think that it had happened to her before. In the life before this one.

@anya Notes- Dimitri thought he was paying attention but he guess he wasn’t in the end. Dimitri had ultimately run into a young woman, and didn’t really care in the end. He just continued to walk on but she had called out to him. Dimitri stopped and let out an annoyed sigh. Really? Couldn’t this girl just continue on her way.
Dimitri turned around slowly and stopped. He just stared at the girl. It wasn’t a blank expression that he had on his face, but a more confused one than anything. This girl just seemed so familiar to him, her attitude, the way she carried herself. There was just something about her, the rose he was holding, everything. Dimitri just could not explain anything.
Dimitri just rolled his eyes. “no girlfriend to daydream about, sweetheart, but here.” He said giving her the rose. “you can have it.” he finished and then folded his arms across his chest. He still couldn’t place his hand on it. “oh, wait, I apologize for running into you, your highness.” He said in a mocking way. He didn’t know why but he just wanted to act like this to her. there was just something about he that made him think that she was completely annoying, but he liked that about her? that was why he was provoking her? This was all very confusing to him.

The 'Your Highness' comment and him offering her the flower earned a large eye roll from Anya. Who did this guy think he was, anyway!? She took the rose in her hand and was frozen on the spot for a moment, her mouth dropped in an offended nature. She closed it and took on an air of confidence, folding her arms across her chest as well. "Well, if you don't have a girl, then why were you carrying flowers around anyway? Are you a florist?"
Anya didn't like conversations to end on a bad note, and this one had started on one due to her behavior and his. So, now she was trying to wind it down a little, but her tone was still rather venomous as she spoke which made it a bit hard to put a positive spin on it... and she didn't even know the guys name!
Well, she'd worry about the name later. First she had to simmer down, which was hard for someone with a temper such as Anyas.

@anya Notes- Sorry its kinda short... Dimitri wasn’t really caught off guard by her question. She had asked him why he was carrying around a flower. “because I picked it.” he retorted and rolled his eyes again. “No, I’m not a florist. Guess again.” He then said, more in a sarcastic way than to actually have her guess what he really did for a living. She wouldn’t be able to guess that he was a conman. That was part of his skill in hiding it.
Dimitri let out a sigh. This really wasn’t how he wanted to act, though this girl really seemed to pull the worst out of him and he didn’t know why. It wasn’t like he was going to apologize too. He dropped his arms and put his hands inside his pants pockets and just stared at the red haired young lady in front of him. She was just staring at him in return.
“Why are you staring at me?” he then asked her curiously, raising an eyebrow at her. “Never mind, forget it. I realized that I am staring at you to so that is kind of a dumb question.” Dimitri then stated.

So, he wasn't a florist and he was randomly picking flowers. That wasn't that strange, but she didn't want to let this down easy. "Okay, okay... maybe... a botanist? Researcher? I hear they already have one at the castle, so tough luck getting a job there," she said, a small smile forming on her lips now and her tone shying down a little bit.
As he talked about them staring at each other, she shook her head and laughed a little. "Okay, to be honest you look familiar," she stated. It was true too. She had seen those eyes before, that hair, that nose and especially the playful sneaky smirk on his lips. She had seen those lips before too, of that she was sure.
"Do I look familiar to you as well?" she asked, folding her arms across her chest, popping a hip to the side and raising an eyebrow at him. If anyone recognized her, it would most likely be when she was in a sassy mood of sorts.

@anya
Notes- Dimitri raised an eyebrow when she continued to guess his job. He just rolled his eyes and shook his head at the other two that she guessed. Was she really going to continue to try and guess? “Let’s just say that my job isn’t one normally picked and not morally acceptable, so just stop.” Dimitri stated now chuckling a little bit. There was still something about her that seemed to bring something out of Dimitri, something that he hadn’t felt before.
She had stated that he looked familiar and Dimitri let out a silent sigh of relief. At least he wasn’t the only one that felt like that. she had then asked if she did and he watched her fold her arms and lean over to the side, sort of like she was still in her original crappy mood. Honestly though, Dimitri thought it all looked familiar and honestly thought that the way she was standing is something that he would call cute.
“Good. At least I am not the only one that thinks that.” Dimitri replied to her. “I feel like I should know you, but I don’t.” He paused a moment. “If that makes any sense at all.” he finished with a small sigh. He sort of turned away from her, feeling stupid that he would say something like that.

So, he claimed his job wasn't 'morally acceptable'? That was a little strange, to say the least. Was he a thief? A hitman? She was so curious she almost asked, but she decided against it. For now. She would find out what it was though, oh yes she would. Curiosity killed the cat, sure, but Anya was no cat.
Anya nodded at his words that didn't make any sense. "No, I feel the same way, really. I guess we knew each other in a past life. And probably hated each other as well, no doubt," she said, not wanting to get too sentimental with this person who looked familiar bu she didn't know. Still, she hadn't seen anyone from her past yet...

@anya Notes- Sorry its kinda short... Dimitri looked at the red head in front of him. she told him that she felt the same way and that they knew each other and probably hated each other as well. Dimitri let out a small sigh. “then why do I feel like there was something more to our hatred for each other?” he asked her curiously shoving his hands into his pockets. He stood a little more relaxed now, not as stiff as he once was. He really didn’t think that he had to worry much while being around her. Sure, he didn’t know her and didn’t trust her but she didn’t seem like the type to hurt anyone without a reason.
Not only did he feel that but he also felt like after meeting her, everything is a lie. He felt like his past, there was just something extremely wrong about it, about all of this. He merely shook his head.
Dimitri turned his attention back to her snapping out of his thoughts. “I’m Dimitri.” He said to her, introducing himself. They have only been talking this entire time and he felt like he should at least give her his name. he didn’t bother to give a last name, since he really didn’t think that it mattered much.

She could also feel something more than the hatred, but she shook her head, "Well, I can't say I completely agree with that. Perhaps we were friends once and then you betrayed me," she said, raising an eyebrow at him as if asking him to challenge the idea. Really, she was sure that this could have happened... but had their relationship mended? Did it even matter? If they couldn't remember now then what was the point in dwelling on it.
She wasn't expecting him to offer a name, but she found herself grateful that he did. "Dimitry. I'm Anya," she announced, giving a little bow but mostly for mockeries sake. "Tell me, have you found any... family here in Wonderland?" she asked. It was something that she had been mildly obsessing over since her arrival. She wanted nothing more than to have people to call her own.
She was sure Dimitri could be one of those people, in a past life, but she didn't want to say that right now. She didn't know if she could trust him here. He could be a terrible person and she didn't even know it. Still... there was a trust there she couldn't ignore.

@anya Notes- - She told him she couldn’t completely agree with that and he just rolled his eyes at her. yeah there was definitely something there that made him really want to chew her out or yell at her for something but he really didn’t care at this point in time. He folded his arms across his chest and he listened to her say that they were friends once and he betrayed her. Yeah sounds about right. If they knew each other in some sort of past life, then he probably did do that since he was a con artist in this life. Maybe he always was one.
The woman in front of him introduced herself as Anya and he watched her bow. She then asked about family and he was taken by surprise by that question. Sure, he had Vlad but they weren’t blood related at all. “Orphan. The only family I have is my friend. Nothing more.” He then said, being completely honest with her. that’s how he worked to get to know people. He would be honest about certain things but then flat out lie about others. That’s how he gained trust from people. “why, what’s with the question about family?” he then asked her curiously, still trying to wrap his mind around it. he only assumed that she probably didn’t have any and knows that they are out there somewhere and she wants to find them. he figured that would be it but he wanted to hear it from her first.

"Friends, those are good," Anya hadn't made too many friends just yet. As he questioned her question about family, she suddenly felt defensive. "Family is important. I hope to find my own here," she snapped, folding her arms over her chest. "Not that an Orphan would understand," oh gosh, did she really just say that? She suddenly felt incredibly terrible about saying something so mean. She was sure she had been an orphan herself... or still was, or something like that.
"Awe, sorry," she said, but she kept her arms folded and her stern look. "Do you really... I mean, how do you know that you're an orphan? You're positive?" she asked.

@anya Notes- sorry about the disappearance. was busy with work. Anya told him that friends were good. Yes they were, sometimes. Dimitri was never an open person. He never really went out of his way to ever make friends. the only one he had was Vlad and that’s all that mattered to him. Dimitri knew that if he had more friends they would just get in the way or screw something up, like a con for example, and Dimitri would never be able to make a living. She then went on and said that family was important and that she hopes to find her own. That caused the young lad to raise an eyebrow. Was she an orphan too? No she came out and said that an orphan wouldn’t understand.
“really? How would you know I wouldn’t understand?” he asked her curiously, trying to get in her head a little. “wouldn’t you be an orphan too if you didn’t know who your family is? What if you didn’t have a family?” he then asked and then felt kind of terrible for asking that question since it was kind of rude to ask.
She then asked if he really was an orphan and how he knew. Dimitri shrugged. “All I can remember is having no family and meeting my friend. He raised me and made me who I am today. Never really bothered to look for my family.” He paused, and then continued “besides, why would I look for people who didn’t care enough to look for me? Or even want me anyway?” he merely shrugged and then looked away from her. Wow, he had never been this open about something like this before. It was odd for him, really.

As Dimitris words confirmed Anyas worst fears, she retreated into herself a little, folding her arms over her chest and leaning away from him slightly. Of course she had thought about her parents not wanting her, that was one of the worst things she could imagine, but she didn't like to dwell on it. Whether it was a parent, and aunt or a grandma, she didn't care, she just wanted a family. She found it strange that Dimitri didn't have the same desire.
"I... I don't know. But I'm still going to look for them. Maybe they're looking for me, and just can't find me. Wonderland is quite large after all," her confidence was slowly returning, and she straightened up as she continued, "Maybe they didn't give up on you. Maybe you're the one giving up on them."
