Personality- Charlie is a very kind young man, when he wants to be. He is also a very capable fighter and when challenged he doesn’t back down. He is also very protective of the few friends that he has as well as his family and wouldn’t hesitate to run to their aid when they need him. He is also very intelligent and has a good sense of humor as well as a dry one. He can also be pretty sarcastic. When he feels threatened, he immediately is rude an ends up being pretty mean and can also result in a violent nature. When he isn’t threatened or has made a friend, Charlie can be very playful and have a teasing sort of nature. Charlie is also very independent and has shown to be at a very young age. Once Charlie has made a friend, it is very hard to break that bond unless he was lied to. He is very supportive and caring towards his friends. [break] [break]
History- Toothless was a dragon and presumed the last of his kind. He first meets his best friend Hiccup in the forest after something had knocked him out of the sky and cut of part of his tail. Without that part of his tail, he is unable to fly. Once Hiccup cuts him free, Toothless grabs the boys neck and pins him down. He sees the same fear in the boy’s eyes that was once in his own and he backs off and tries to fly away. Toothless is trapped inside the cove and is discovered by Hiccup once more while he was trying to catch fish. [break] [break]
Toothless watches Hiccup and growls at him but does not attack. He was very cautious around Hiccup, afraid of him and watched as Hiccup tossed the dagger away and offered a fish to the dragon. Toothless went to eat it, first having a mouth that appeared to have no teeth and once his teeth appeared he took the fish and ate it. Toothless then regurgitates half the fish into Hiccup’s lap deciding to share with him. Hiccup eats it and almost gags but pretends to like it and smiled at the Dragon. Toothless stared at him and then mimics the action which showed his intelligence. Toothless then moves away once Hiccup tries to touch him. [break] [break]
Toothless realizes that Hiccup was still there and was drawing in the dirt. Again, Toothless mimicked the action and took a branch and started drawing in the dirt. The bond between the two grew to the point where Toothless allowed Hiccup to help him fly again and Toothless and Hiccup became friends. Toothless taught Hiccup a lot about dragons and Hiccup used that during Dragon training.

Astrid soon finds them out and eventually agrees that this is cool. Toothless then takes them to the Dragon Isle with no control of his actions. The other dragons are dropping food into a huge hole and Toothless was nervous. Toothless manages to escape with Astrid and Hiccup. [break] [break]
The next day Toothless senses that Hiccup is in danger and races to his rescue and gets captured by the villagers. He is used to get to Dragon Isle where the Vikings plan to attack the dragons and save their village. The alpha dragon is awoken and lights all of the boats on fire, including the one Toothless is on. Once Hiccup arrives, he tries to free Toothless but both are pulled under water and are then saved by Stoick. Toothless and Hiccup defeat the Alpha and in the end it cost Hiccup his leg.

Hiccup and Toothless remain friends and explore the world together looking for new places. During their adventures they encounter Valka, Hiccups mother who reveals Toothless’s spikes on his back and even Toothless didn’t know about it. They end up confronting Drago Bloodvist to reason with him but he calls upon his Alpha Bewilderbeast and takes control of Toothless.

Under his command, Toothless kills Stoick. He is rejected by Hiccup and then ridden to Berk by Bloodvist. Once there, Hiccup and everyone are already present. Drago allows Hiccup to talk to Toothless believing that Hiccup couldn’t get control of Toothless. Hiccup does and the two of them defeat Drago and the Bewilderbeast. Toothless then became the new Alpha of the Dragons.

After the curse, Toothless is now completely human. He was raised in this new land with the name of Ryder Charles “Charlie” Nightfury. He grew up in with his grandparents since both of his parents died when he was very young. He had a hard time growing up, being picked on by the other kids, them calling him Toothless because of his kind nature. He was taught how to defend himself by his grandfather and also trained in fencing.
