A woman had lost her son. She was an older woman, sick, and surely in need of help. They had been losing money rather quickly, and her son was fired from his job. The only thing he could do now was steal. He tried to, a very rich woman who wouldn't miss the small necklace she wore, once a month, maybe. But he was caught, and now he was jail. He would be for the rest of his life. Robin felt immensely guilty. If he had found the family earlier, her son would be free, and maybe she'd be healthy. If only he had been faster. If he wasn't distracted.
But Robin would repay, in the one way he knew best. He would get enough to free her son, and pay for their treatment, and pay for their trip out of town. Robin had gotten more before, this would be easy. What made this time so different from the others? He was stealing from the palace. One of the most secured places in Wonderland, but also one of the richest in Wonderland. This is the gold mine. Walking along the trees, Robin's fingers remained on his bow, ready to equip his weapon at anytime.
Robin couldn't have mistakes, mistakes made a joke out of men. Essentially dead men. Robin had to be perfect. Not distracted by rude blondes, with no care for those beneath her. No, absolutely not.

Why was Peter stealing from the palace? Why not? The Queen was richer than everyone in Wonderland, and probably wouldn't even miss most of the things she currently owned. She probably never looked at the same possessions twice. Peter kept telling himself that anyway. All in all, it would be a fun game, wouldn't it? One of the best games he ever played as there was great risk. He could be caught, thrown in prison... or executed. Or he could win the game and boast about stealing from the one and only Queen Evelyn of Wonderland. Yes... it was more than worth the risk. Atop a tree, he looked for the best way to get onto one of the palace balconies. He watched as the light from the window clicked off, indicating that someone had left the room. This was his change. Perhaps the Queen had gone to bed. He was about to make his move when he spotted the fellow below. It was an adult, but he hardly looked like an authority figure. He darn sure wasn't a guard. Peter suddenly found interest in meeting this person? Was he... trying to break into the palace as well? "I say, good sir," he said softly and carefully after climbing down the tree a bit. "Late night walk around the palace? Seems to be a popular place."ROBIN SILAS HOOD

Robin heard footsteps before he heard a voice, they sounded light, but quick. Robin would assume it's a child, but he could be wrong. So Robin maintained still, as the boy came into view. He was right. Tucking the arrow back into his holder, Robin turned to face the boy, his eyes narrowing. "No. What are you doin' out here, kid?"
The archer liked to think the Queen's guards had some sort of skill, and random children wouldn't be running around the perimeter at late hours of the night. More importantly, Robin hoped he actually had some sort of challenge, but this idea was quickly running down the hill.
"Are you lost?" He asked, arching an eyebrow as he stood from his crouched position. Robin remembers being on his own around the kids age. He wasn't as good as he was now, and was close to be caught a couple of times, but he was still one his own. It was a rough time, and if had the catch to help another kid who was in the same place he was, he would help.

Peter smirked when the man asked what he was doing about the area? He leaned his back against the tree and crossed his arms. He was about to say something when the guy asked if he was lost. "Lost, me?" he said. "Why... why of course I'm lost, good sir. I was out picking mushrooms under the moonlight when I suddenly found myself up this tree and looking out at the Queen's Palace, particularly that one room over there where the lights just went dim." Peter shook his head. It was probably obvious to the other man that he was being sarcastic. Peter then leaned closer so he could whisper to the man. "So, what's the scheme tonight old fellow?" he asked. "A straight in and out job, or are you going to make a game out of it? I personally prefer the latter. I mean, nothing's any fun if you don't make a game out of it. And games are more fun when there's another player." He then rubbed his hand on his side and extended it to the other. "Name's Peter, and I'll be your partner in crime for the night," he said. "And if you say no, you'll regret it in the long run... maybe."ROBIN SILAS HOOD

Robin rolled his eyes as the boy played the familiar game of banter, as he walked forward. He obviously didn't want to give anything up, that or he found the situation really ironic. Normally Robin would of played along, throwing jokes faster then he could count, but tonight wasn't a laughing matter.
He let himself get distracted with Helen, and it cost him an innocent soul. If he didn't get this job done, it might cost him another. Robin didn't have time for banter. "Alright then, Peter. Follow me. The way you were going, you would of ran into the guard." Robin ordered in a husky voice, turning away from Peter to walk through the woods surrounding the palace. Robin had his plan memorized. Tonight should be smooth and simple. Of course Robin didn't plan company, but he could adjust.
"Sorry to disappoint you, Peter. But I actually don't have time to play games here. Someone's life is in the risk."

(Sorry for the late reply. I forgot to Bookmark this one.) Peter looked over at the guard he was about to run into. As strange as it sounded, he wanted to run into the guard. It was all part of the fun. "Oh I know," he said. "I was planning to stuff his helmet over his eyes... or better yet pants him. It's always funny to watch people trip over themselves when they try to chase me after that. But oh well, we'll do it your way." Robin's plan seemed dull on the surface to Peter, but then again they were breaking into the palace, so it couldn't be that boring. Peter should have been more serious when Robin said a life was at risk, but the fact was that Peter put his own life at risk all the time. There were at least ten people in the village who wanted his head on a pike. Also Peter did have the mind on a child in a lot of ways. It was hard for him to take a lot seriously. "But that makes it all the more intriguing as a game, good sir," he said. "Without risk, the game grows cold."ROBIN SILAS HOOD

An amused laugh broke through his lips before he could contain himself. It'd be so long since he pants a guard. Or anybody. The older Robin got, the more he forgot to have fun with it. He missed the old days where he was much younger, and much happier as he stole from grumpy old men. The tricks he would pull. What happened?
"You, Peter, are right." The archer admitted, with a small sigh. "You remind me of someone." Peter reminded Robin of himself, young, energetic. A million reasons to live. It saddened Robin how life had changed. How he changed. "I have a deal for you, if we can get in through this secret entry, then we'll have the best game in the world." Robin said, looking towards the large castle waiting ahead of them beyond the trees.
Lowering himself to a crouch, Robin continued for a couple of feet till the ground curved downwards, leading to a small tunnel. "This is the fun way in. It's dirty, and probably a little broken from no usage, but it's slide us right into the palace. And we can start from there."

Peter laughed along with Robin when he laughed. Why? He didn't know. Laughter just felt good. Robin then said Peter reminded him of someone. Peter raised an eyebrow at that. "No one you're looking to pummel I hope," he joked. Well, he sort of joked. He really did hope Peter didn't remind Robin of some enemy... or if Peter had someone crossed Robin the wrong way some time back and had forgotten about it. Whatever the case, avoiding a pummeling by a guy who looked as strong as Robin was definitely a good thing. Peter was relieved when Robin made the deal with him. No pummeling after all! "Sounds good to me," he said. "I love secret entrances." Peter then followed Robin toward said entryway. Peter nodded and smirked as Robin said the entrance was dirty and broken. He hardly minded that. Peter had been used to both since taking on the occupation of young thief. "Darn, and I just washed my clothes," joked Peter. It was obvious he hadn't done that in some time. He then got quiet since they were entering the palace. True, a part of him was afraid, but that actually made him more excited about this little adventure. ROBIN SILAS HOOD

"No, kid. Not someone to pummel. You remind of me myself when I was younger." Robin responded, as he slid down the small slope and in the entrance. Robin waited for Peter to slid down as well before continuing forward in a crouch. "This is gonna take us through the trash shoot, there we're gonna find a door which leads to the kitchen. It way past desert time, so we're gonna skip through the kitchen, then we can decide where to go." Robin explained, as he entered the dark cave, which reeked of trash.
Squinting his eyes, Robin spotted the glistening of a metal door some distance down the cave. "Here we go." Nodding once to Peter, Robin broke off into a jog towards the door. Robin momentarily wondered why the Queen would leave such a vulnerable spot open, but decided not to think about it. Robin didn't have time to theorize just how many things the Queen was doing. Or rather who she was killing. Taking out his dagger, Robin slid the dagger in between the door and the doorframe, and pushed down, unlocking the door. Robin pulled the door open for him and Peter.
"Don't forget. If you see something nice, grab it."

Peter smiled when Robin said that he reminded him of him as a lad. "A high compliment," he said. "Thank you, good sir! And if I live long enough to become an adult, I want to be just like you." Ugh, something about the idea of being a grown up suddenly made Peter feel uneasy. Where did that come from? After all, he had to become one eventually, right? That was a bit inevitable. "Trash, kitchens, sounds fun!" he said. He then sniffed the area and his face began to turn pale. "On second thought, the smell of rotten eggs and molded vegetables isn't so fun." Peter was thinking of swiping something from the kitchen, but had changed his mind. Peter removed his small knife as he entered with Robin, not looking quite as imposing as the other man. That sense of danger elevated him him a bit now that they were inside. The Queen or her guards could pop out any minute. "Something nice, eh?" he said. "A bar of soap would be nice at the moment." He could smell the scent of garbage on him. He wasn't a fan of baths, but would have loved one right then. Still, he looked about for other goodies as well. ROBIN SILAS HOOD

Robin glanced over his shoulder in curiosity, and chuckled as Peter's face scrunched up in disgust. Robin was use to it, seeing that he didn't live in the cleanest area, but the smell was still unappetizing. "You know, a man's trash is another's treasure." He said in a low voice, as they made it through the dark hallway, and the bright lights of the castle soon peaked through the hallway, revealing the luxurious interior of the castle. "Here we go.." The archer pushed the flaps of his coat back, revealing several hideway spots for antiques. This would be fun.
"Think of it as a treasure hunt. Get the most that you can. The more expensive, the better..just be safe. We can't get caught." We won't. Robin wouldn't let them. With one last reassuring nod sent Peter's way, Robin reached the end of the hallway, and stepped on into the empty kitchen. It glowed with various silverware and bright, metal pots. Only the Queen. Stepping to the side for Peter to enter, Robin grabbed some golden silverware off the racks before stuffing it in his jacket.
"Don't hurt yourself, kid.." Robin briefly grabbed a spice, and sniffed the top before scrunching his face and stuffing it to the side. The rich always felt the need to buy unnecessary things. Walking off from the spices, Robin pressed himself against the wall, listening in for any sounds, before peaking over the side only to spot a long hallway, with several days.
"I don't think we have enough pockets, Peter.."

Treasure. Another word that seem to get to Peter. And treasure made him think of... pirates, as if he knew pirates all too well. Very strange. He smiled back at Robin though. "Well this treasure another man can keep," he said. "I'll settle for... well anything that doesn't smell like spoiled milk and dirty socks." When Robin said "here we go", Peter was very relieved. He thought he was about to lose it all over Robin's footwear. That would have been a fun sight. Peter looked about. A treasure hunt, eh? Suddenly, he was feeling better. He walked about, grabbing sterling silver eating utensils and gold water pitchers. "These people ever heard of wooden bowls?" he asked. Peter then followed Robin into the next area. He was wondering where the guards were. Surely the Queen and that Adviser of hers had them guarding them around the clock. Things were a bit too quiet. "No worried about hurting myself," he said. "Worried about some guard stabbing me in my backside with a spear any minute though. Then again, wouldn't be fun without worrying about that, huh?" He smiled at Robin. He then looked at the hallways with wide eyes. "Yeah... I don't think we do either," he said of their amount of pockets. He decided to put back some of the silver and make room. ROBIN SILAS HOOD
