"I don't even know you anymore!" Mary yelled, tears brimming her blue eyes as she stepped away from him. It was raining, heavily actually, and this was the third fight of the week. Mary had refused to even enter their home because of it. Mary was breaking, and he could see it, so could he. He didn't know what to do. Mary sniffed, wiping her eyes before she turned away from the archer and walked into the woods. "Mary, please!" Robin didn't hesitate to run after the woman. But the rain got harder, and the shapes of the trees started to blend in. Robin was losing her.
"Robin!" Mary screamed. Robin's heart started beating a million miles per hour. Mary was in trouble. Robin pounded farther into the woods, but even then, he couldn't see very well. "Robin, it hurts!" Right before him, the dark shapes of the trees transformed into guards. Dark armor, dark cloaks covering their faces. They held Mary back, an arm around her, the other holding a dagger. "Robin!" Mary was screaming now, her face red with tears, her blue eyes overflowing with tears. Robin tried to move but the ground hold him down, in fact he was sinking.
"Please..please..please..ROBIN!"
Robin shot up from his sleep, his heart beating wildly in his chest as he twisted around in his bed to look at his surroundings. He was in his cabin, alone. No storm, no guards, no Mary. Robin breathed heavily as sweat grew along his brow, his eyes blank and watery. Robin laid his head in his hands, his chest heaving as he shut his head and rubbed his throbbing temples. Robin's instincts were never wrong. They never failed him in his life. And this time, his instincts were telling him something was wrong. His dreams for the last several nights consisted of those same guards. Following him, capturing him, sometimes capturing Mary like the one he just experienced. But it was always the guards.
Something was trying to tell him something, but what was it? Robin pushed himself to the edge of the bed, throwing the scratchy covers off of him, and running through his messy hair. The only way he was gonna get some answers was talking around. Something was happening in Wonderland. Something had to be going on for these dreams to plague him, like some demon. Robin was going to get to the bottom of it. Stepping out of bed, Robin pulled on some flimsy clothes, along with a cloak, and a hood to cover his head. Exiting his broken down cabin, Robin began walking towards town.
Another thirty minutes later, Robin was nearing the loud, and busting 'Tavern'. That's where all the thugs were anyway. Pushing through the double doors, Robin quietly made his way to the bar, and ordered himself a pint of beer. Tonight was nothing too crazy. Though it looked like poker night. Multiple men came in with bags of money, and jewelry to bet to their expense. Robin scoffed. What idiots. And they wondered why they weren't rich. Robin's eyes stopped when he spotted a man sitting in the corner, with a game of poker set up, along with a stack of gold waiting beside it. The richest man in here. Robin would be lucky if he was the owner.
Robin gestured for the waiter to bring his beer over to that table, before making his way over, and sitting in front of the man. "How about a game?"
