Audrey was a tough gal, that much was for sure. She could handle a hard day of work and really she enjoyed what she did as a blacksmith. Still, she felt she was capable of more. And on some days in the summer, the heat from inside and outside got to her. The sun tired her out far more than the work did. And by the time it went down, she was ready to chill.
The place she loves to chill more than anywhere was the tavern. The people in there were rowdy and fun. The drinks always helped her relax too. Usually by the time she left the tavern, she was more than ready to sleep. Walking in, she was greeted by a guy who wasn't one of the locals. The guy grinned at her.
"Hey there," he said. "Can I buy you a fruity cocktail, baby?"
"You're gonna have to buy yourself some pain medicine if you me baby again," said Audrey. The guy reached his hand out to her, and ended up getting flipped and sent to the floor. "Go home, you've had too many." The guy nodded and left. Audrey then sat and ordered a whiskey shot and ale.

It was early evening as an exhausted Robin made his way to the tavern. Instead of his usual attire, he wore what he called 'commoner clothes', along with a light jacket due since it got colder as the night came. Pushing the doors open, Robin moved to the side, just in time as a drunk man stumbled through the double doors, the sound of retching followed. Robin grimaced, turning away from the door and sitting at the table.
Knocking on the table, Robin waited for the waiter to come over, his eyes scoping the tavern for any suspicious faces before turning to the waiting water. "Surprise me." The archer said, with a small grin before leaning back against the counter and taking a moment to relax. He needed it after all. Being a vigilante was very tiring. You had no idea.

Audrey sipped her whiskey and then her beer. Gradually, she chugged the beer down and let out a burp, not seeming to care who was offended by it. She ordered another shot and beer and proceeded to do the same. She was so focused on her drinking that she didn't notice the dashing vigilante that had walked in. Heroics weren't really part of a Blacksmith's life after all. She just did her things and called it a day. Same old, same old. She really didn't notice anyone coming into the tavern until a huge, hairy man walked over to her and gave her shoulder a hard tap. She flinched a bit and turned to the guy, showing no fear despite how scary the brute was. "Dat wuz me lil bruda ya beat up, girlie!" he said. "Shoulda just took'em up on his offer. Now Imma teach yous a lesson." Audrey smirked at him. "Well I see intellect runs in your family," she said sarcastically. "Well I am kinda sma... hey whadda ya mean by dat?" he growled. He then cracked his knuckles. Audrey took her shot of whiskey and chugged her beer before putting her own fists up. People looked shock as this girl was ready to take on the monster of a man. Robin had just received his beer, just held the cup as the guy stood up beside him, bumping into Robin, and spilling some of his drink. Robin knew it was stupid, and he could buy another one, but it just really annoyed him. It annoyed him even more that the guy did that just to be a jerk.
Putting his drink down, the waiter nodded and took the pint to refill it. Rolling up his cloak sleeves, Robin grabbed the back of the guy's neck, slamming it against the desk before tossing him aside. "Do this somewhere else." Robin said, taking the newly filled pint from the waiter and turning to face the man on the ground.
"Or else." The archer added, with lowering his head, his voice catching a darker tone. The man nodded, although he didn't look too happy about it, and walked out. Robin took a long sip of the beer, the familiar taste leaving a familiar ache in his chest, or maybe that was just him. Turning towards the woman he was talking to, Robin sent her a nod. "I know you could of taken care of it, but he knocked over my drink and..." Robin took another long sip. "I'm having a bad night."

Audrey knew the guy had a good chance of mopping the floor with her. He was huge... and tough... and mean. But Audrey was the type to not go down without a fight. Plus she had speed on her side. If he timed it right, a few swift punches would have rocked the brute. However, that turned out not to be necessary. The next thing she knew, a handsome, but rugged looking guy took her enemy down. She was about to say something to him, but he spoke first. Turned out he wasn't doing it to treat her like some damsel in distress. And it was nice for a guy to tell her that he felt she could handle herself. "Meh, guess I can't blame you," she said with a smirk. "I mean, a spilled drink just ain't cool. Plus you probably saved me a few bruises and a black eye. So... yeah... thanks." She ordered another shot and beer and sat back down. "Haven't seen you around the tavern. You new to the village?" Did this village even have a name? Everyone just called it "The Village". " I'm Audrey, by the way. Guessing you got a name as well."ROBIN SILAS HOOD

Robin shook his head, as he cracked his hands from the previous offensive move. "No, I'm a normal for the tavern. I'm just a bit more quiet." Robin responded, with a small shrug, taking another long sip of his beer, now finishing it off. It was only the first for the night. Putting the empty bottle back on the counter, Robin waited to waiter to get another before turning to face the girl. "I'm Robin." He introduced, with a small nod. "I imagine the there's a lot of jerks you have to deal with in here."
Robin didn't doubt that Audrey could take care of herself, he just preferred to deal with it with less 'finesse' especially when he was tired, and urging for a beer. Most nights were quiet, or at least Robin couldn't tell what was going on. It was funny how he could almost never remember the trek back home from the tavern, he was either to drunk, or-no he was usually to drunk to remember. Beer was now his every night sleeping drug. That and Helen. But he knew it wasn't smart to visit on her a daily basis.
"Sorry you have to deal with that. The owner should do better then that." The archer grumbled, shaking his head in disbelief, his eyes falling to the area where the guy fell, and the small droplet of blood right by his boot.

Audrey was a bit surprised when Robin said that he was a regular there. She was one too, but then again she didn't notice a lot of people in there, given how crowded the place could be when the work day was over. "Yeah, you must be really quiet for me to always miss you," she said. "Then again, I get pretty drunk, pretty fast in here. You ever hear me sing in here when I've had a few. I sound like a bird, albeit one that sounds like it should be taken out of its misery." Audrey chuckled at that. She then shrugged when Robin said that he imagined that there were a lot of nuisances for Audrey in the place. "Nah, nothing I can't handle," she said. "Besides, most people are too used to me showing up here. We just all stick to our drinks and have a good time. But now and then I get the sleazebag like that guy and his brother."
When Robin said he was sorry she had to deal with it, Audrey laughed and smacked him on the side of an arm. "Look at you, showing concern for the damsel in distress and all," she said. "That's kinds cute. But really don't worry about me. Audrey Welder knows how to take care of herself." She then sipped her latest beer and looked at him. "So you got a story?"ROBIN SILAS HOOD

Robin cracked a small smile as she spoke about her drunk escapades. He could relate. Yet again, he couldn't. The archer would drink, and drink, and drink, until he couldn't feel the thoughts flying in his head, and he was just there. Then he'd somehow bring himself home to sleep. It was a schedule, a very toxic and unhealthy schedule, but a schedule none the less.
Taking a moment to slid onto a stool, Robin ran a hand through his messy hair in exasperation to her question. "Oh boy, do I have a story.." Robin did, and before the divorce happened the story was a grand one. It had adventure, and action, and romance. Everything a common taverner would want. But the story changed, and it only left a shadow of what it use to be. Robin didn't have the heart to tell it. "It's not very interesting, or good. Better not to waste your time...what about you?"

Audrey was really confused. One minute this guy Robin sounded like he had one heck of a story to tell. Then the next, he said his story wasn't very interesting. Audrey picked up on that right away. She wasn't quite sure how she picked up on it, but she seemed to have a knack for it. And what she picked up on was the fact that this guy did have a story, but there was clearly something he didn't want to talk about. Audrey decided not to pry for now. "Alright, but if you have a few more drinks and your mouth starts running, I'm not going to shut you up," she said with a smirk. She then shrugged when he asked what her story. Now she actually felt she didn't have much of one. "Well, I'm the local Blacksmith," she said. "I work long days, have some drinks, then go to bed. Single life... yay." She twirled her finger with mock excitement. She then sighed a bit. "But you know what's funny? I think there's more to me than that, like there's more than just being able to work on tools and make horseshoes. I like I know I can do other stuff, but I don't know what. Doesn't make sense, huh?"ROBIN SILAS HOOD

"A Blacksmith, impressive..I don't have enough patience for that." From when Robin was young, he was good at archery, and that was probably the only thing he had patience for because there were consequences if he didn't. Robin thought once upon a time, that being a blacksmith would be a good job. He was young, very young, and he wanted to do something nobody else did. John had agreed with him, and they went to visit the local blacksmith at the time. A couple hours later, with some newly injured fingers, and a steaming attitude, John had taken him home.
Robin couldn't handle sitting down, and waiting for the metal to form perfectly, or whatever other practices blacksmiths completed. It just wasn't for him. But he could appreciate when someone could do it, and they were good. Especially a female none the less. "I get it, Audrey. If you're good at it, do it. It's what you're meant for."

Audrey made a "pfffft" sound when Robin said it had to take patience to be a blacksmith. "Nah, you just gotta know what you're doing," she said. "It's like anything else. It gets easier after a while. Not really much to shoeing a horse." The bartender came over and Audrey ordered was about to order another whiskey shot and beer when she looked at Robin. He seemed like a pretty cool guy and she wanted him to hang around a bit. "Hey, bring me a bottle of the good stuff." The bartender knew what she meant- Walrus & Carpenters' One Hundred Proof Whiskey. Audrey looked at Robin. "Hope you can handle your liquor, pal. My treat if you can be all gentleman-like and keep me company for a few hours."Audrey thought about what Robin said, and he was right. The only thing was... she felt like what she was good at... well stuff involving those skills wasn't exactly in Wonderland. "Well I would... I mean if I knew exactly what I was good at... and where to do it," she said. "And I ain't the only one, ya know? Like everyone I talk to acts like they remember stuff and don't exactly remember it at the same time. I'm probably really confusing right now."ROBIN SILAS HOOD

Sidenote: I totally realized I tagged Helen Sorry about that, I'm so use to rping with Helen, it's like a second instinct to type her in. I apologize
Robin arched an eyebrow before scoffing. "Sounds like a challenge to me." The man chuckled, tapping on the table for the waiter to make her order for two. Robin was the best with his alcohol, and whiskey? Pfft, that was child's play. "Do you know how many burn marks I got when I tried to do blacksmith work? You need to give yourself more credit." Robin huffed, wringing his left hand as his fingers brushed the slightly darker spot along his tan hands. Just as the drinks arrived, and Robin reached out to take the bottle, he froze. Everyone was missing memories? Robin slowly took the bottle and looked to Audrey. "Everyone too? I thought.." Robin understood that he drank a lot, and he knew it came with consequences. Though not remembering most of his childhood probably wasn't one. "You're being serious?" Tag: @audrey

(No worries) Audrey smirked again when Robin said the whiskey drinking sounded like a challenge. "Depends on how far you're willing to go," she said. "This stuff's like apple juice to me... really, really good apple juice." The bottle was brought with the two glasses and she poured them both a drink. She then toasted him. "Bottoms up, Buttercup." She took a long sip and rest against the bar. Audrey laughed when Robin spoke of how many burns he had gotten doing Blacksmith work. Well, she guessed it really wasn't for everyone. She laughed a bit when she pictured Robin burning himself near a forge. "Well come by some time and I'll teach ya how its done," she said. "I mean, if you ain't got nothin' better to do." The thing is, Audrey wasn't hitting on Robin or anything. Most of Audrey's friends were guys. She was a bit of a tomboy and she seemed to get along better with the opposite gender. She thought Robin was a pretty cool guy and wanted to build a friendship with him. Audrey didn't seem surprised when Robin brought up how he was in the same vote with the whole memory thing. He was one of many who had this issue. "I'm dead serious," she said. "I thought I was crazy too, but pretty much everyone I've spoke to act like there's stuff they should be remembering. And I have some weird dreams too, ya know? Like about stuff I'm working on that doesn't even exist. Like in one, I'm fixing some weird carriage that doesn't need horses. And I'm fixing it like I know exactly what I'm doing."ROBIN SILAS HOOD

"Is that an invitation, Audrey?" Robin pretended to contemplate the idea, before grinning. "I would love to."
Taking the bottle, Robin toasted with Audrey before knocking back the drink, a familiar trail of heat flowing through his chest. Licking his lips, Robin raised his eyebrows in surprise as he listened to her recount her lost memories. "What else do you remember?" Robin murmured as he raised the drink to his lip and took another long shot, the burning sensation fading to a small buzz. The archer didn't remember anything so...specific. He had weird dreams, like the ones with the dark guards, and sometimes he heard strange woman laughing, but nothing more. Though Robin didn't really remember his childhood, his parents. He was half a story, and the beginning had been lost. What about the ending.

Audrey smiled when Robin accepted her invite. Really she just wanted to hang out with him more. However, if he wanted to learn some stuff at her shop, he was all for it. "That's the spirit, and maybe in return I guess you could teach me to... well whatever it is you like to do," she said. "You look like you're good at hunting and fishing and stuff. I haven't done a lot of that... at least I don't think I have."Audrey then shrugged when Robin asked what else she remembered. "I don't really know if they're actual memories or not," she said. "That weird guy at the curiosity shop, Faust, said something about people having past lives though. He called it Reincarnation or something. Maybe that's it. But other than that, they might just be weird dreams. I seem to dream a lot about the ocean too. Like in one dream there was this big city or something down there. But that basically told me I need to lay off spicy food before I go to bed. Underwater cities are a bit much."Audrey then sighed and shook her head when Robin asked if she knew of anyone who could tell them something about how to get it back. "Not anyone I've talked to," she said. "But I know other people are tryin' to find out. You ever been near that Hall of Doors? Some people say those doors lead to other places outside of Wonderland."ROBIN SILAS HOOD
