Trini usually chose the Woods or the Village to play in. However, today she was in a kite-flying mood. The best place to fly kites was the Field. Trini was so excited when her mother was able to repair her blue kite and add fresh pink bows. The kite has got caught in a tree some time back and tore. Trini didn't know if it could ever be repaired. However, he mother worked magic as the woman always seemed to do.
With the kite fine and dandy again, Trini ran and let it soar. Not only did it seem to be fixed, but it seemed to fly better than ever. True, that could have been because of the summer breeze. However, Trini maintained the belief that it was how her mom fixed it. Trini laughed away as it flew, acting like it was the most amazing thing she had ever seen. That was Trini's spirit.
Things were going very well until a big gust of wind blew by and took the kite from her grip. It blew it until it once again landed in a tall tree. Trini had no issue climbing the tree. She was more worried about the condition of the kite. She quickly climbed up and brought it down... to see that it was once again torn.
"Oh no," she groaned. "What's mom going to say to me now? She worked so hard on it."

i'm trying to LET YOU HEAR ME AS I AM The fields were an interesting enough place. Not as many people lived in the fields as in the village however, and Pearl survived off of other people. It was why she visited this place less often than other ones scattered about Wonderland. But for some reason, call it boredom, curiosity, whatever you'd like; Pearl decided to visit the fields that day. Even she herself didn't really know why she wanted to. She would probably do nothing there, because she seemed to always do nothing. But if all you do is nothing, you might as well do it in an interesting place.
Pearl was skipping through the tall grasses when she saw something floating about in the sky, and crash quietly into the branches of a tree. She supposed it was a kite that got stuck, and this suspicion was when she saw another young girl climb up to reach it. Pearl skipped a little faster to reach this person, as Pearl was quite the outgoing type, and eventually her skip conformed to a run. Pearl happened to reach the stranger before she left, so Pearl looked up and asked, "What are you doing?" Seemingly all of Pearl's conversations started with a question, because what better way to become someone's acquaintance?

(PRIM AND RUE!!!!!!)
Trini was almost sick over what was going to happen when she got home. Her mother wasn't going to be mean to her or anything. Trini's mother never was. However, Trini knew she would disappoint her mom by not taking good care of the kite. That would hurt more than anything. Trini loved her mother. The two had such a strong bond. She sighed and looked the kite over. She almost wanted to just climb back up the tree again and stay there for a while.
Trini then heard a voice from below. A girl who looked around her age walked up and asked what she was doing. Trini usually greeted people happily, but right now she felt so terrible, she could barely get out a friendly hello.
"Well, I was flying a kite... but it got caught in the tree," she said. "The branch ripped it. It's been torn already, but my mom and I fixed it up really well. She's going to be so upset when I get home. I don't like it when mom's sad." She then realized she was being a bit rude. "I'm Trini, by the way. Sorry you caught me not feeling well."
