[attr="class","LD1textarea"]Patch was born to Dalmatian couple Pongo and Perdita. He was part of the litter of fifteen and the twin brother of the pup known as Penny. Patch was a bit of a rebel, and because of that he stood out greatly from the rest of the litter. He wasn't mean or vicious by any means, but could be aggressive at times. Usually he took that aggression out on various items around the house. He especially loved chewing on the rugs. Patch certainly got into his share of trouble, but deep down he appreciated that his parents loved him nonetheless. This helped him mature a bit... gradually. He was quite close to his twin sister, Penny, even though at times he found her a bit annoying for being daddy's little girl.[break][break]
He also found the humans he lived with, Roger and Anita Radcliffe, to be quite interesting. He was often curious about the things they did and how doing those things made them different from dogs. The walking on their hind legs deal was particularly fascinating. Patch often tried that himself, but would always fall on his bottom and look incredibly confused at why he couldn't accomplish such a feat. Still, he loved the human couple, especially appreciating the treats and scratches behind the ears.[break][break]
Probably the scariest time in his life was when the mean human known as Cruella Deville kidnapped him and his siblings. He wouldn't go down without a fight, but in the end, he was overpowered by Cruella's henchhumans. Fortunately, their parents and other animal friend of theirs came to their rescue. Patch particularly liked how they ended up escaping, as rolling in soot was quite enjoyable. For once he didn't get into trouble for keeping really dirty. The escape was daring as Cruella was relentless, but in the end they got away and returned home. Everything was wonderful after that... except for the bath. He really hated those.[break][break]
Patch was already happy to have some many siblings to play with, but was amazed when he got a lot more... A LOT MORE. In the end, he had one hundred brothers and sisters. He felt it would be quite difficult to be older brother and "mentor" to so many, but he was ready to accomplish the task. After the incident with Cruella, he wised up a bit and acted more responsible and obedient. All in all, there seemed to be only happy times ahead for the family.[break][break]
Then... the Curse happened......[break][break]
Patch was no longer a dog, but a thirteen year old boy named Patrick Madison. Penny was still his sister, and she was of course a girl now. Patrick had no memory of being a dog of course, but he still had some traits associated with his old self. In fact, he had picked back up certain traits that Patch the Dalmatian had grown out of. He was a bit rebellious and tended to find himself in trouble. He seemed to get angry quite easily as well. However, there was that maturity about him, as well as a sense of responsibility when it came to his sister.[break][break]
Like Penny, Patrick was of course an orphan. This particularly took a toll on him because he had no memory of his parents whatsoever. It was also felt that his lack of parents might have been the reason for his disrespect of authority. Perhaps this was true, but deep down Patrick did wish that he knew who they were, and wished that he and Penny did have parents again. For now, he continues to be wily and is grateful to at least have Penny with him. Family is family after all.
