Roger had promised to go to the orphanage for Pongo today, who was too busy to attend an thus had asked him to go for em. Though Roger was a tad unsure if that was the case however he agreed to do it since it was a favor and being around kids didn't sound too bad. After all Pongo enjoyed every moment he spent with the little ones and their caretaker from what the piano teacher could tell, so it had to be a nice place despite the obvious. Dressed in his orangish brown trench coat, he walked down the street with sheets of music under one arm. He couldn't find a small briefcase or a folder to put anything in; his....apartment wasn't the best in terms of appearance, so he just went the items in hand. Making sure not to lose his grip on the paper as he approached the door and knocked on it, waiting for it to open. He wasn't too sure if it would be the kind caretaker or one of the youngsters who would open the door to him. So he was just standing there with a kind look on his face, making sure to give a kind smile as well. Doesn't mean you have to join, also you can jump in any order you don't have to follow the way I tagged all..)

Penny sat on the stairs reading her book. She wasn't really sure where everyone was but she was glad that the house was quite for a little bit. Flipping though the pages in her book she smiled when the ending came about. It was then she herd a knock at the door. A smile spread across her face, he was here, the Mail Man, just on time like always, but what she didn't realize was that it was a day the mail didn't run. so she set her book down and rushed to the door. Flinging the door open she looked up and smiled at the man exspecting to see Pongo, but what she saw was surpising her eyes went wide and she staired at the man.
He was not who she was exspecting, she was a tad scared that she had just opened the door for a strange guy she didn't know. So she just stood and staired at him, she could't make a noise for Perry or move away she just stood in fear, not because he was a scary man but because he was new to her and new things were scary, they were unpredictable, and they could leave her. So she just staired at him in an awkward moment.

Patrick didn't really care about special visits. He doubted anyone was coming to get him. He was about as far from the perfect kid as one could get. He figured his future was one of growing up until he couldn't stay at the orphanage any more and then getting some lowly job in the village. He simply hoped that his sister, Penny, got a good home. True they would be separated, but he loved his sister and wanted her to be happy.
Patrick was not helping remove the negative image from himself. He was already getting himself into trouble. Well... it was sort of a noble cause, but he was really handling it the wrong way. A boy was taking the food of those smaller than him. Patrick was smaller than him too, but Patrick cared little about that. He walked over and shoved the bully.
"Hey Poop-Breath!" he said. "Give them back their apple slices! You had yours!" The bully just stared him down, but Patrick didn't back away. Instead he made a fist. "Give'em back or I'll give you a knuckle sandwich to munch on!" The bully was surprised by Patrick's courage, but then formed a fist too. A fight was on the verge of beginning.

The door opened and thus revealed one of the children, a little girl. She had gone still and silent as they stood there and Roger was a tad unsure if he should do anything. Though after a moment, he adjusted the sheet music under his arm before finally choosing to be the first to speak.
"Hello." Roger greeted kindly. "I'm Roger Radcliffe, I'm best friends with Pongo. He couldn't make it today but he asked me to come in his place."
Roger bent down as he introduced himself and held his hand out to the young girl. Hopefully the youngster would be as afraid of him, there really wasn't anything scary to him. Or at least he didn't think he was scary but this was a child and who knows what she was like, he heard a few things about the children but nothing really identifying. Pongo really mentioned how he enjoyed his time with the little ones. Course things were soon interrupted by the sound of a youngster yelling to another. It did cause him to look up though he didn't see who was yelling.
(I wasn't sure if Roger would be able to see Patrick from the door.)

Penny kept her eyes on the man, she was unsure of what to do, yet what he said next made things a bit better. "Hello Mr. Radcliffe, I am Penny." her voice was quiet and shy but loud enough for him to hear. It was sad that she wouldn't see Pongo today, but it was okay, perhaps this guy was just as nice as he was. She shook his hand and smiled.
That was when she heard her brother and she smiled, she knew his voice anywhere and she took the mans hand and lead him to the room where the boys were at. "Pat, Pongo sent his friend to hang out with us today...... Perhaps fighting is not best." She said really, really quite, she was quite nervous seeing that the boys were going to fight. Oh boy, did she wish Miss. Perry was here to help.
"Please Mr. Radcliffe, can you stop them." She looked up at the man with her cute brown eyes, she didn't want to see any of the boys get hurt even if bullying was going on.

Patrick had the whole world shut out around him. He was angry and focused. He was ready to sock the bully right in the eye. The bully stared back.
"They don't need them apples!" he said. "They ain't as big as me. I get extra hungry cuz of my size, so I get extra apples."
"Well being bigger doesn't make you smarter, that's for sure," said Patrick. "So I'll repeat myself- either give the apples back to the others or I turn you into apple jelly!" With his big mitts, the bully mashed up an apple slice and rubbed it in Patrick's face before laughing.
"How 'bout some apple sauce for you instead, pally?" he chuckled. Patrick wiped it off his face and then gritted his teeth. Then, out of nowhere, he socked the bully right in the nose. He expected retaliation, but instead the bully toppled over and placed his hands over his nose. The big goof then began crying.
"Is it bleedin'?" he cried. "Is it bleedin'?" Patrick sighed and crossed his arms.
"No, it's not bleeding," he said. "I didn't even hit ya all that hard." Patrick then looked over at Penny and the man near her. "Hey Sis, who's that guy with you?" He then stood closer to his sister, always protective of her.

"It's very nice to met you, Penny." Roger said, giving a bigger smile as they shook hands.
Stop them? Well it seemed he came at a very odd time indeed, children were bullied and that was a sad thing. Though going about things the way Patrick was, wouldn't be best. He would fall into the same category to some. Though it seemed he wouldn't get much of a chance to try to intervene since Patrick already punched the other boy. This was going to be a hard and rather odd time.
"I'm Roger, I'm friends with Pongo. He couldn't make it today and asked for me to come over here." Roger explained to Patrick.

Commotion, commotion, commotion. Just when there felt like there would be some peace and quiet, ruckus in the house started again. Jewel stared at her ceiling for a moment until she heard the knock at the door, and she sat up quickly enough that she had a head rush. Pongo! Nearly throwing herself off of her bed, Jewel almost raced for the stairs before composing herself at the top. Before she could take the first step down though--she heard crying, and another voice who surely wasn't Pongo. It alarmed her even more that Perry's voice wasn't in the mix.
Jewel came thundering down the stairs in a flurry of curled blonde hair and cheeks red with frustration. When she padded through the house towards the front door the sight of Patrick punching another kid nearly gave her a heart attack. "Patrick!" Jewel nearly barked, her lips tight in anger as she hurried to the crying child and quickly lifted his chin to check his nose first and foremost. "You're gonna be okay, go get a pack of peas from the freezer and put it on your nose." Jewel's voice softened as she lifted from her crouch and helped the kid up by his elbow before rounding on Patrick.
"And you! What are you thinking?" Freshly painted nails nearly reached out for the boy to grab him by the scruff of his neck---before Jewel saw the strange man standing in the doorway. Blue eyes darted down to Penny, then back up to the stranger. Was this guy here to adopt one of them? Or was he a creep that was going to try and snatch one. Jewel swallowed hard, and raised her chin. "Penny, what's going on? Who is this?" Jewel's eyes fixed on the stranger, thick lashes framing her unblinking eyes. "Why are you here?"

Penny watched everything that was going on and when Patrick came over to her she gave him a warm smile. She knew that Patrick was probably just protecting the others from the bigger kid. She then herd footsteps coming towards the two, they were to light to be Perrys so she knew it was one of the many kids that lived in the house. When the blonde came in Pennys eyes widen as she gripped on to Patricks hand and held it tightly. The yelling had made her nervous and spooked her a bit.
When the blonde turned to her she stared at her for a short time then looked down at her feet. "Um, Um, Well, Um it all started when I was waiting for the mail man. He is always one of my favorite people. Roger came over because pongo was to busy today he had something to do but he sent Roger in his place so we wouldn't feel left out. Then I herd the two boys fighting. Patrick was trying to get the apples back for the younger boys and and the older boy was being rude and Patrick punched him. It was out of self defense." The girl had made her way behind Rodger and Patrick.
Yelling and fights had always made her feel scared. She wasn't scare of Jewel, or anyone of the older kids but the tone and yelling always made her skidish. "I'm so sorry Jewel I should have been keeping the younger ones happy." She said looking down.

At Roger:
Patrick eased a bit when Roger mentioned Pongo. Patrick liked Pongo a lot. There was something about it, something that made Patrick feel like he and Pongo were close. He didn't know what, but he was very fond of the fellow.
"Oh... okay, well you can stay then," he said. "But I wish Pongo would drop by. He wouldn't let anyone steal apples around here, that's for sure."
At Jewel:
Patrick was irritated with Jewel. She was trying to console the bully who was taking apples, then jumped on his case. Patrick being irritated with the girl was nothing new though. Really, the only girl he got along with there was Penny.
"Calm down, Jewel!" he said. "I was thinking about the little kids here who keep getting their grub stolen by that knuckle-head! It was about time someone taught him a lesson!" The bully looked over and Patrick and Patrick darted him a look. The bully then ran off. Patrick smirked at this.
At Penny:
Patrick should have let Penny explain things to begin with. She was really good at it, and Penny understood him unlike many of the other kids. He placed his arm around his sister when she walked over and gave Jewel a "I told you so" look.
