[attr="class","LD1textarea"]Anastasia has suffered from amnesia before, which apparently isn’t uncommon around these parts. She was one of many Duchesses in Russia, a part of the Romanov family. She was the youngest of these sisters, with one little bother. She had incredibly loving parents and a charmed life. She was incredibly close to her Grandmother, who was planning to move to Paris. She used to sing to Anastasia, a sweet song that was then gifted to her within a music box, as a remember me by whilst she was in Paris. The locket came with a necklace, which unlocked the music box. The necklace said Together In Paris, reminding Anastasia where she could always find her Grandmama. On the eve of a Royal Party, an evil man called Rasputin cursed the Romanovs and the Russian revolution of 1916 started that very night, causing the Romanovs to flee the palace as it was brutally attacked. Anastasia, being a young girl of eight, ran back for her music box instead of following her family outside of the palace.
[break][break]
Her Grandmother followed, and once they were back in her bedroom a servant boy helped them escape through the servant’s quarters. Only, through the bustle, Anastasia dropped the music box she had gone back for. As she and her Grandmama made a run for the train station, Rasputin tried to stop them, slowing them down. Once at the station, Grandmama made it safely aboard but Anastasia was knocked down, smacking her head against the ground which caused severed amnesia for the girl. Her grandmother escaped, her family was killed, and she was left out alone in the snow.
[break][break]
She woke up in an orphanage, calling herself Anya, horrified at having no idea who she was. She stayed there for years, trying to figure out what the words on the locket met. She lived there until she was nineteen and was sent out on her own. The journey for her family in Paris started with a tip to see a man named Dimitri, a man who was auditioning women to play the lost duchess, Anastasia to collect the reward money her Grandmother had set out for her. Soon, Dimitri and his partner convinced Anya that she could very well be the lost duchess and the three of them, along with her dog Pooka, made the journey to Paris.
[break][break]
During the trip, Anya and her companions discovered a lot of uncanny similarities between herself and the Lost Duchess. They started giving her lessons on how to behave like the duchess, teaching her about Anastasias history. Her memories also started to appear every now and again, causing her to have dreams and nightmares that told her of the life she once lived. Anya and Dimitri slowly bickered often, but it was all a cover up for a deep attraction between them. As the journey went on, the two started to fall for each other. Though neither of them would admit it. However, Rasputin had it own for Anya and continued to send creatures and curses her way. Still, even with the trials he sent her way, the group indeed made it to Paris where Anya was to be reunited with her Grandmother. While there, she had to prove to her Grandmothers cousin first that she was indeed the Princess, even though she didn't believe it herself yet. They went shopping, they visited the ballet, and soon she was in front of her Grandmother, having to prove herself.
[break][break]
She wasn’t sure at first, if it really was her granddaughter who was coming to call, but as Anyas memories were returning to her she was able to convince her Grandmama that it was indeed her. The only conflicts from that point where the fact that Rasputin was still out to kill her and Anya learned the truth about Dimitri. That he was a con man who simply wanted the reward money for Anyas return and really couldn’t care less about her happiness. At least that’s how Anya saw it.
[break][break]
Long story short, Dimitri proved that he actually cared for her by not accepting the money that her Grandmother offered. When Anya discovered this she had the choice to go after Dimitri or stay at the grand ball with her Grandmother. The decisions was an impossible one, but she followed her heart going after Dimitri but was stopped by the powers of Rasputin. Dimitri helped her to escape and they finally defeated the dark sorcerer. Anya soon discovered that Dimitri was the boy who opened the secret passageway to get them out of the Palace. She and Dimitri left Paris together, promising to come and see her Grandmother again soon, but what they really needed was some time to get to know each other a little better.
[break][break]
Personality;[break][break]
Anya is incredibly family driven and cares deeply for those she considers such. She often experiences separation anxiety as she doesn’t do well being apart from those she cares about. She is also quite wistful, dreamy and hopeful. She is an incredibly determined girl, pushing hard to achieve the goals that she creates for herself. She often makes decisions on a whim, which can occasionally get her into trouble.[break][break]
Even though she is a hopeful and trusting being, Anya can be incredibly skeptical at times. She believes in her own dreams wholeheartedly, but she often has a hard time believing what others tell her. You have to be very convincing in order to get Anya on board with anything that isn’t directly a part of her own goals. [break][break]
Anya is also quite bossy and likes things to be done her own way, which was a bit of a conflict with Dimitri who had a similar personality. Her determination gets her through, as well as her hopeful personality and her sense of humor.
