Neverland...
The old Codfish had been defeated. Hook's downfall should have been a time of celebration for Peter Pan and his friends. After all, they had won the game! However, there was no celebrating that evening... at least not as far as Pan was concerned. His world was about to change, and not just because his longtime enemy was seemingly no longer going to be a threat to him. He was about to lose the Lost Boys, his long time friends. And worst of all, he was about to lose... her.
Peter sat in a quiet place up on a hill near the Lost Boys' hideaway. He should have been saying his farewells, but saying good-bye had so many horrible things attached to it. He loved Neverland because it was supposed to be a place with no good-byes. He had never said good-bye to anyone before, at least not for a long time. Looking down, he held the thimble in his hand... the "kiss" he and Wendy shared. He frowned, the twinkle in his eyes gone. He was not the Pan he was a short while before when he was going toe-to-toe with the Steel-Handed Stingray.
He turned back and looked at the treehouse. That's where she mended socks and told stories. It was where he and the Lost Boys came up with the best games, some games that lasted weeks, months, and once one that lasted an entire year. Who cared who won? Who cared who lost? He loved playing each and everyone of those games. And now that was all about to come to an end. He turned back and looked up at the stars.

and always will. Wendy had never meant for things to go on this long. She, Michael and John had only come here because Wendy was an adventure seeking soul, she didn’t want to grow up, didn’t want to be plagued with responsivities that her father wanted her to be used to. She didn’t want to become her mother, a woman that never had any fun. Wendy didn’t want that to be her, to have to live under rules and not be able to share stories and adventures. She wanted to stay a child, to continue to live in the same room as her two brothers, to be in the nursery a little bit longer. And that was why the escape to Neverland had been a blessing, meeting Peter Pan had been a blessing. But while here, being a ‘mother’ to the Lost Boys, she realized it was time to grow up, that life could not stay a game forever. Plus the longer they stayed in Neverland the more that her brothers forgot what their actually mother was like, how the land of London was like. They were becoming something that the society back home would never live with and she knew in this moment, the mature thing to do, was to go back home. To grow up.
Of course when she had told Peter this he had a fit and then she had sun the song to remind her youngest brother about their mother and all the Lost Boys wanted to go home, this leaving Peter alone in Neverland. And after defeating Hook, Peter would be alone and have no on but Tinkerbell to keep him company. And Wendy had felt sorry for him, truly she did. She had never meant to take away the only boys that he had ever known, but sometimes people need to grow up. She remembered wanting him to come back with her, to grow up with her. She had fallen for the eternally young boy, and for that she knew it was wrong. He wanted to remain a boy and she wanted to become a woman, it would never work for these two. But that didn’t stop her from trying to bring him back to London, back to the land of adults. And of course, like she thought, he had refused the offer of growing up.
She was sad of course, but she respected his declination of her invitation.

Peter wanted to just stand there and wait until they all went away. He wanted to be selfish and cold and not let anyone think he cared. He wanted them to think this was just another end to another game. He didn't want to be anything more than the happy boy who never grew up. But his heart ached now. And he knew if he didn't try... one last time, he would regret it forever. So he turned and flew toward where he knew Wendy would be.
Landing near her, he said nothing for a moment. He just looked at her, and then looked out into the distance.
"Never-lilies will be growing soon," he said. "They always draw the frogs. The Lost Boys and I have a game... where we mimic them. It's called Frog-Leap." He sighed and looked at Wendy, his eyes more serious.
"Why do you want to go back there?" he said. "It's a terrible place. It's a place where you grow up, and then you become one of... them. And then you grow old... and die. Why would you want such a thing. Here, Wendy, you stay young forever. And every day's an adventure. There's no adventure where you're from."

and always will. Neverland will always be beautiful in Wendy’s memory, even though she would be growing up in a few hours or whenever Peter finally decided it was time to go. She looked out in the distance just as Peter landed next to her, she heard him speak. Heard as he talked about the never-lilies and the game that he played with the lost boys. Wendy felt sadness fill her. she hadn’t meant to steal the Lost Boys from Peter, she just wanted her brothers to return home with her, not have the whole crowd want to return. Now Peter would be alone in Neverland. She glanced at him a small frown upon her pink lips, eyes filled with sadness and guilt.
‘Why do you want to go back there? It's a terrible place. It's a place where you grow up, and then you become one of... them. And then you grow old... and die. Why would you want such a thing? Here, Wendy, you stay young forever. And every day's an adventure. There's no adventure where you're from.’
Wendy frowned, taking Peter’s hands within her own, the warmth coming from his hands familiar. She let a sad smile take over her lips, “I have to Peter. I…I cannot stay. I cannot hide from the truth forever. Sooner or later one has to grow up, and I must accept that. Plus my parents are most likely worried and I cannot keep them like that…and John and Michael. They are forgetting home they are becoming something that is not them. That is why I must return.”

Peter looked down as Wendy took his hands. He sighed for a second before his brow lowered. He pulled his hands away and crossed his arms. To most, Wendy's words would be logical... but not to Peter. He had lived in Neverland his entire life. If he had a mother or a father, he didn't know them. He only knew how to be the boy who never grew up.
"One doesn't have to grow up!" he said. "That's what they want you to believe! I thought you were more clever than that, Wendy? What happened to the girl who made my shadow stick to me? What happened to the girl who helped me fight the Codfish? You're talking nonsense now!" He then listened as she spoke of John and Michael. "But if they go... if the Lost Boys go... if you go... you will all forget me." Peter sat on a log and lowered his head and removed the thimble again. "I'll remember you and you'll forget about me and Neverland. You'll think of getting married and having children of your own! It isn't fair, Wendy! It simply isn't fair!"

Wendy frowned, her face showing the sadness and guilt that was eating at her from the core. She looked down at the ground, at their hands. She couldn’t look at him any longer, if she did her heart would break and she most likely would give in. she would tell him she would stay. But she had to stay strong…she had to grow up. “Peter…I am still the girl that stuck your shadow back to you. I am still the girl that helped you fight Hook. I will always be the Wendy Darling that you know…I just need to do this. Not for myself, but for my brothers. I do not want them to lose themselves, I do not want to lose…myself.” she whispered before she slowly took his face in her hands, a single tear rolled down her cheek before she spoke. “I could never forget you Peter. I promise I will never forget you.” she whispered.
‘I'll remember you and you'll forget about me and Neverland. You'll think of getting married and having children of your own! It isn't fair, Wendy! It simply isn't fair!’
As he said those words he pulled away from her and went to sit on a log, quickly she moved to stand before him looking down before she knelt. Their faces level. “Peter…if I do get married, if I do have children of my own. I will tell them stories. Stories of the brave and wonderful, Peter Pan. You have my word.” she whispered. And Wendy always kept a promise.

(Going to close the scene here and we can start the window scene unless you want to add something.)
Peter wanted to believe Wendy when she said she was still the girl he knew and still the one who played all the games with him. But if she was, why was she leaving? Why would she be so worried about her brothers. Weren't they happy here? Why should they have to remember that terrible world they came from? Peter looked into her eyes and saw the tear. He remembered one of the first things he had ever heard from Wendy so long ago... at least it seems so long ago.
"Girl... why are you crying?" he said softly. But then he grew upset again. Why was she crying? He was the one who deserved to cry. He was the one in pain.
He then listened as she promised she would tell her children stories. He smiled for a moment, but then the smile dropped.
"They'll grow up to think they're just silly stories though," he said. "They'll think that Neverland doesn't exist... that I don't exist." He rose and sighed, but then his voice calmed. "You are good at promises, Wendy, and I believe you. But that doesn't change the fact that nothing will ever be the same... that the game will never be as fun." He then turned and a few tears shed from his eyes. "Tell the Lost Boys that I said good-bye, will you?" And with that, he flew away.

and always will. ‘Girl…why are you crying?’
Wendy quickly wiped at her tear stained cheeks, her thumb running across her cheek quickly to wipe away the evidence of her sad nature. She swallowed but didn’t answer his question. But as he went on to talk about that her children would grow to believe that the stories were silly, that Neverland and Peter himself would believe it to be fake. She shook her head “They won’t.” she whispered, her voice and tone holding a promise. She would make sure that their belief in Peter and Neverland would forever be true in their hearts. And then he was flying away, Wendy quickly stood to her feet. “Peter!” she cried, but it was too late he was gone.
It had been at least two years silence Wendy had been to Neverland, had flown around without a care. Two years since she had last seen the likes of Peter Pan. When returning home her father had told her that she didn’t have to grow up, but she had been ready and so she had been given her own room, close to her brothers. Why? Because if he was to return, she would be able to see him. Every once in a while Wendy would go into the nursery, sit on the window bench and look at the star. The second star to the right. It was there that she knew that if she flew straight through and right onto morning she would be in Neverland.
She sighed, standing up and getting ready to shut the window.

Most people would not really pay attention to the sound of crowing. Most would think it was some night bird trying to chat with one of its pals. No one would think the crowing was special... aside from those living in the Darling House. Peter had been angry... bitter... had even stayed away from his remaining friends in Neverland for some time... but he couldn't help it. He missed Wendy and the others. He had not left Wendy on the best terms. Even he had admitted he acted a bit childish. Even if Wendy couldn't come back to Neverland, that didn't mean Peter couldn't go to her.
Peter saw Wendy at the window and crowed to get her attention. Flying up, he stood outside the window. The look on his face was far from bitter. He had a smile, a rare sweet smile that only two beings had seen... Wendy and Tinkerbell.
"I know I closed you out, Wendy," he said. He didn't apologize verbally for that, but his soft voice showed he would truly sorry for that. "Please never close the window on me." This was of course more figurative then literal. "You... would you really tell them about me in stories?"

and always will. Her hands froze, raised at the handle of the window when a shadow fell over her face; the sight of Peter Pan brought a smile to her face. For these two years she hadn’t seen him. Now she was older. She had grown up slightly. She was a tad taller and her face was a little more feminine than childish, she looked more mature. More like a female…more like her mother. ‘I know I closed you out, Wendy. Please never close the window on me. You…would you really tell them about me in stories?’
Wendy smiled warmly, slowly her hands fell from the window and she knelt down so that she was more comfortable on the windowsill. “I would never close you out Peter.” she said in a soft accented voice before tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, out of sight out of mind.
“Stories…of course. Neverland…you…Tink…you were my adventure. One is to share stories of adventures. And our adventure was the best of them all…how could I not share stories of you?”

(No worries)
Peter smiled when Wendy said she would never close him out. Even if she never came back to Neverland, at least he could go to her. He knelt down and looked at how much older Wendy had gotten. He chuckled a bit.
"You know you don't look so bad... for a grown up," he said. "You'll always be the girl who sewed my shadow back on." He then revealed the thimble, which was tied on a string around his neck. "And I'll always have your kiss."
He rose again and looked out to the stars and then back to her.
"I must go now," he said. "Another great game awaits me. But I'll visit you in the Spring. I'll always visit you in the Spring." He was about to fly away when he looked back at her again. "I'm happy that your children will remember me in your stories. But... Wendy, you know that really special place between asleep and awake? That is where I want you to remember me." He smiled at her and slowly flew away. If one listened as he reached the sky, they could hear a distant crowing and perhaps even see a soaring figure head for the Second Star To The Right.

and always will. When the smile appeared on peter’s lips, it brought a smile onto her own pale pink lips. She tucked another strand of hair behind her ear; surely her ears had tinted pink. A way of showing she was blushing. It was rather weird. The smile upon her face also revealed the hidden kiss that was nestled right at the side. She watched as he knelt down and looked at her. He still looked the same. The same child-like face, same demeanor, he held himself with even more confidence, most likely due to the Hook’s defeat. She smiled at him.
‘You know you don’t look so bad…for a grown up.’ – To these words she let out a small laugh – ‘You’ll always be the girl who sewed my shadow back on. And I’ll always have your kiss.’
She smiled at him, the blush moving to her cheeks now as he pulled out her ‘kiss’. In reality it was just a thimble, but she wasn’t going to ruin it for Peter. To them it would be a kiss. Forever and always, as long as Peter lived it would be remembered as such. She would carry this truth with her to the grave. She swallowed at the thought, but hides it well.
‘I must go now, another great game awaits me. But I'll visit you in the spring. I'll always visit you in the spring. I'm happy that your children will remember me in your stories. But...Wendy, you know that really special place between asleep and awake? That is where I want you to remember me.’
Wendy smiled a beautiful smile as she watched him fly away, she stood up to her full height, watching as the star that was the second to the right started to glow brighter as he disappeared within it, no doubt in Neverland once again. “I will always remember you…Peter Pan.” she whispered as she took a step back closing the window at the same time. She would never lock it, just in case he came back. She had even told her mother to always keep the window unlocked, and her parents never stopped her from doing such a thing. It was her one childish thing she held onto…that and stories of the adventurous and childish Peter Pan of Neverland.
