You are not a guppy. Of that you’ve always been sure. Not a guppy, but a Flounder.[break][break]
You worked at as a waiter at the Catfish Club, but you always dreamed of being something more. With a voice like an angel, you wanted to be a part of the Catfish Club Band. They existed even after King Triton put a ban on music in Atlantica. You were always in awe of them. You were always humming and beatboxing, especially at inappropriate times which landed you in a lot of trouble — especially because of the ban, but you couldn’t help yourself. It was always about raising peoples’ spirits and keeping them happy while you were around.[break][break]
That was around the time that you met Ariel. She became your best friend. You were carefree and high-spirited, but that slowly changed. Somewhere along the line, you became frightened of adventure and what it could bring. You grew skittish and scared and had a hard time following Ariel into adventures like you used to. You wanted to be the voice of reason to her adventurous nature, but you seemed to always get dragged along on the dangerous adventures any way.[break][break]
It was a few months later when you followed her into the biggest adventure yet: the adventure to become human. It all started when you gave her the statue of Eric. You wanted her to have her happy ending, more than anything in the world, it was important for her to be happy and when she eventually found her happy ending, you felt torn. She was leaving you, but she was going to be with her love. [break][break]
The world went blank after that as it did for everyone and you lost all memory of the fish that you used to be. You lost all memories from before the very moment that you opened your eyes in this strange new world.[break][break]
Your eyes felt glued together when you tried to wake up. By the time you finally managed to get them open, you felt as if you couldn’t breathe. In fact, you coughed for a solid two minutes before you were finally able to get a deep breath. The air felt strange to you, foreign almost, but you knew that that was the way it was supposed to be. You were Cordelia Flounders, now, but you hated when people called you Cordelia. It was Cory or Flounders.[break][break]
Without your Ariel, you feel a little lost. Lost for reasons even you don’t understand. It feels like something — someone is missing, but you’re not sure how to find them. You’re not even sure where to start looking. So you do the only things you can do: You take a job working part-time in one of the diners, spending your free time humming to yourself and pretending that you’re Wonderland’s one and only beatboxing champion. At least, that’s was you do when no one’s looking. The moment a stranger’s eyes are on you, you get clammy and all choked up.[break][break]
You live in a large home with a few roommate on the outskirts of town. It’s cramped and crowded, they’re all different personalities, but somehow they seem to work together and it’s nice. You’ve taken especially to your new friends in the house. [break][break]
You kind of like it here — sure, you’d like to know who you were before a couple of months ago, but it doesn’t bother you as much as some people. Sure, the talking flowers make you jump every time they ambush you on the path back to the house and there are people everywhere, but you could get used to it. You have to because it looks like you’re stuck.[break][break]
You’re still the voice of reason in the group, always weighing the dangers of the situation before you go running off to do something crazy. Sometimes people think it’s weird, the way you just seem to go along with things — they say you have no backbone, but you disagree. You would do anything for your friends…anything to make sure that they are happy, including giving up some of your own dreams.[break][break]
