~History~

Marie had it all. She literally lived in the lap of luxury. She had a wonderful family, a beautiful wardrobe, and love. So, so much love. She had two brothers whom she was very fond of, even though they bickered constantly. They were brought up to be proper ladies and gentlemen, and they were - for the most part - until a fateful day when their butler, Edgar, decided that they needed to go. He had once been so entirely fond of them, but when he learned that Adelaide - the 'owner' of the cats - planned on leaving everything to them in her will, and nothing to him...until after Marie and her family were gone, at least.

In order to make sure he would get everything, he made it look like the cats were gone... that they had run away. But really, he fed them cream filled with sleeping pills so that he could dispose of them in a basket on the side of the road in the middle of the night. Marie had been under the impression that Adelaide was the one who sent them away, but eventually, they learned the truth thanks to a tom cat named Thomas O'malley who helped them find their way home. He also, on their journey, fell in love with their mother, which Marie found to be oh, so wonderful... She always loved a good love story. Duchess, to Marie's dismay, declined the tom cat's proposal of marriage, which left him broken hearted.

Edgar's reign of terror wasn't over yet completely, though. When he found that they were back, he stuffed them in a sack and hid them until he could ship them off to Timbukto to get rid of them once and for all. However, he was outsmarted again, thanks to a friend of the cats named Roquefort - a mouse - who gathered O'Malley and his alley cat friends to come to the rescue. Once Marie and her family were saved, Edgar got locked inside of his traveling case and sent off to Timbukto himself, and was later written from Adelaide's will completely.

Marie was happy that Duchess and O'Malley ended up together in the end.. It was a beauuutiful love story! But, it wasn't the ending.. it was only the beginning. When the curse rolled through, Marie and her family were separated, and none of them were any the wiser without their memories intact. No longer does she remember her brothers, her mother, or Thomas. Now she's alone, and spends most of her time singing.

Marie is normally prim and proper. She's the epitome of 'good girl'. She does like to have fun though, even if it means getting her hands dirty.. just as long as she can get clean again quickly! She loves singing, dancing, and her favorite types of music are classical and jazz, and her favorite instrument is the piano. She also has a love for art that she could never quite explain. It was almost as though she once knew an artist, but she can't quite peg it.

Marie absolutely loves exploring new things. Although she's a creature of comfort, she's willing to expirience things for the first time with unbiased eyes. She can come off as a little bit of a snob at times, but deep down, she's incredibly sweet, and would do anything to help anyone. She feels a strong pull to felines, but she could never explain why. She guessed she was just always a cat person. At times, she even finds herself watching a cat groom, wondering how they got their fur to be so shiny and full..and then she realizes how strange she's being, and never brings it up to anyone.
