While many of those in Neverland were those who traveled there, Peter was one of those who was born in the land. His earliest memories consisted of the same things that he had always done in Neverland- playing with his fairy friend Tinkerbell, who he met in Pixie Hollow and who's fairy dust allowed him to fly, having an on and off again alliance with the Indians, hanging about with the Mermaids, and dealing with the Pirates who had arrived one day, especially their Captain... Hook. All in all Pan had a happy existence, one that, due to the magic of Neverland, allowed him to stop aging once he had reached his fifteenth birthday.[break][break]
Peter began to grow lonely though, and that was no good for a playfully and adventurous boy like himself. He needed companions more like him. So he began flying in a world away from Neverland to find boys who had been orphaned or abandoned... or simply boys who didn't want to grow up and become adults as Peter didn't. That was one thing he recalled from his early life... that it was terrible to be an adult. Gradually the boys he collected came to be known as the Lost Boys. They went on many adventures, often involving the utmost danger. But one of them feared danger as Pan's care-free personality made it seem like a game. The game grew dark though as in a confrontation with Hook, he cut off the man's hand and fed it to the crocodile. It was the first time he had truly injured someone, and as evil as Hook was, Pan felt guilty. He feed the hand to the croc in a vain attempt to forget about his crime.[break][break]
Pan continued going into the other world. Unfortunately, his shadow enjoyed the trips too and tended to stray from him. He chased the shadow into the home of the Darlings, and this is where he met Wendy, who helped him catch his shadow and attach it back to him. Pan had never invited a girl to come to Neverland, but he felt Wendy would serve as a mother-type figure to the Lost Boys. He talked her, along with her brothers John and Michael, into going with him. He told them how to fly, a combination of Pixie Dust from a reluctant Tink and happy thoughts.[break][break]
Pan had many adventures with the Darlings in Neverland, including another epic showdown with Captain Hook when the Captain kidnapped the Darlings. However, when Hook was defeated, it was revealed to him that not only did the Darlings wish to return home, but the Lost Boys wanted to go as well. Pan allowed them to go, but their departure changed the once happy and playful boy. He grew lonely, dark, and bitter. Even those who still lived in Neverland could not give him comfort. He fell deeper into a dark place as time went on, often disappearing for weeks to months at a time, not even telling friends like Tink where he was going.[break][break]
Pan only re-emerged when the Curse was cast. However, he was now quite different. He went by the name of Peter Barrie and caused a great deal of mischief in Wonderland, and mischief far less amusing and charming than that which he often committed in Neverland. He currently doesn't know why he wished to be like this, but he knows he has a great hurt. While he is far from wicked, he is a very troubled boy, who needs a great deal of help from one, well anyone who might take the time to care for him. He lives alone in the Woods, but can often be seen about the village... being most anywhere bu the school where he belongs.
