The worst thing it could possibly do right now, was rain..and that's exactly what was happening. Lucy was wearing the wrong shoes, and the wrong clothes to be caught in a down pour. Lucy was too far away from the palace right now to run back there, so she went for the only place that made sense in her head at the time...The woods. Why she just didn't enter one of the shops in the village was a very good question, but apparently all logic and reason escaped Lucy's mind when she started getting soaked. Her wide brimmed hat didn't help her much, either. Her thought process was that the trees would protect her from the rain.. but she was sorely mistaken.
Actually, it even made it a little worse. Tromping through the woods in heels and a skirt was a rather difficult task, especially when there was mud involved. "At least I'm not wearing white.." she muttered. It didn't matter.. she was still a mess.

music | Keith - others Keith loved the woods, he loved them when it was sunny, he loved them when they were wet, but he preferred them to be sunny. Today he was exploring and it seemed to be the best time of day to. Yet, mother nature had other plans because it started raining. Keith didn't mind the rain, but something about it was just wrong, he didn't really want to be out in it but he would have to. Luckily for him, he knew a good place to wait it out, all he would have to do was find it. So walking though the woods he came across a pretty weird site. A girl, in heels, in the woods, soaked in rain water and covered in mud. Keith chuckled and walked up to her. Pulling off his warm, leather jacket he draped it around her. "Hello Miss. Rain just came out of nowhere didn't it?" The man chuckled. "I'm heading to an abandon house care to join me? Though you might want to lose the heels." Keith smiled at her trying to get a smile out of her. The house wasn't far but, it would take a bit to get there, thankfully Keith knew there was fire would at the house.. |

To Lucy, this was the worst thing that could ever happen. What was merely a bout of rain to anyone else was a nightmare to her. Sure, it might have been a little fun had she been wearing something - anything else, but right now she was completely a mess and absolutely uncomfortable. Just when she was about to collapse in to the mud in tears, she heard someone coming up behind her. Suddenly terrified that it could be someone that she didn't want to see her like this - ala The Queen or the Royal Advisor - she held her breath. Instead of being reprimanded by a shrill female voice, she was greeted with a warm jacket and a rather cheerful demeanor.
The stranger made a comment about the rain, and then spoke of an abandoned house that he was on his way to, and asked if she'd like to join him... but it meant giving up her heels. No matter..they were practically broken anyway already. The only problem was, she had no idea who this man was that invited her to an abandoned house. She looked him over, and pulled his jacket tighter around her arms. "Thank you for the jacket," she spoke in a soft voice. "And it really did come out of nowhere! I.. couldn't go back home so I came here. It wasn't the best decision I've ever made." Two things could have happened if she followed him. Either she'd be warm, and have a nice conversation with someone new, or something devastating would happen to her.
Maybe then though, it would spare her from the humiliation of going back to the palace covered in mud. Decisions, decisions.
"Sure.." she gave a small nod. "Why not? I..don't normally go to abandoned houses in the woods with strange men I don't know, but you were kind enough to give me your jacket." She reached down and pulled off her shoes, wincing as she felt the mud squish between her toes. "Oh my goodness..this feels so odd.." Ew ew ew, mud!

music | Keith - others " No Problem, you look like you needed it more, for some reason I'm always warm." Keith found this quite odd, no matter what he was always warm, like he always had a whole ton of fur on him. When she talked about going with a stranger, the man smiled brightly when she said she would go with him. Keith thought in the back of his head how creepy he must have sounded. He laughed at himself and nodded. "That is true, strangers are bad news, but how do you know if a stranger is a friend unless you talk to them." That was something he lived by, talk to everyone, play games with everyone, treat everyone like they were your.......... Frienmies? Keith shrugged the thought off. He watched as she took off her tripping hazard of shoes and smiled his big Cheshire grin. He then, lead the girl towards the house. "I'm Keith, I own the Meows Mayham back at the village." Keith looked at the empty cottage that was just sitting there wanting to be used. Keith lightly reached under the mat, grabbed the key and unlocked the door. It was just natural for him to do this, he wasn't sure why, but he knew everything about this house. . |

The man seemed kind enough..but then again he was a stranger, so who really knew what he was like? He had a point though. Everyone was a stranger, until you met them. "You're exactly right," she spoke with a kind smile. She then walked along with him, holding the coat around herself with one hand while the other clutched her dirty, broken heeled shoes. He introduced himself, and she suddenly realized she had to introduce herself as well. It was the proper thing to do, after all. The question was.. to tell the truth, or no? Deciding that she might as well, because why not? She took a breath and let it out. "I'm Lucy Spaniol...and I really shouldn't be out here."
Okay, so maybe she was avoiding it a little. "I'm the ward of the Queen, and it would probably upset her if she found out I was roaming around in the woods..in the mud. Or..then again.." she sighed quietly. "Maybe she wouldn't even care." She gave a light shrug of her shoulders. Once they reached the little house, the two of them stepped inside. "It doesn't look too abandoned.. it seems charming. Are you sure no one has been staying here?"

Lucy that was a pretty name for a pretty girl. Keith smiled. "Lucy that is a pretty name." she then told him that she was the ward of the queen and Keith nodded. "I know the queen, I met her once weird lady. She wants me to keep my shop open more." Walking into the house he smiled. No one lived there, he knew that even now that he had been keeping it nice and filled with stuff. Sure he had his own house but he felt like he needed to keep this one filled as well.
If only he knew it was Cheshires house. It was his house from another life. So the two were safe there. "Lucy, no one lives here, nothing has been moved since the last time I was here. and that was a couple of weeks ago." The man walked into the kitchen and grabbed two wine glasses and a bottle of wine. Walking in to the living area he set them down and went to start a fire to warm up the place. "Make yourself at home Lucy we have a long storm to ride out."
