and time makes it harder. i wish i could remember. but i keep your memory...
Lately, the young woman had been feeling lost. The fact that she had no memories haunted her and frustrated her to no end. After running into other villagers, and a few around the woods, it seemed as though she was not alone. It was strange and confusing. How could so many people not remember who they were before? The past was one thing that made a person who they were, and now all of those memories are gone. So, what made her... her? It was a question that weighed on her mind almost every day. However, there was one place that oddly gave her a feeling of peace, aside from her home in the woods.
The Mad Hatter's Tea Room.
She had visited the strange little place a couple times before, after she had stumbled upon it. It intrigued Mally, and made her feel like it was a place she used to know. Whenever she was there, she felt home. She felt as though there was a memory trying to push to the surface. But nothing ever appeared.
Her hand gently graced the white table cloth that covered a long wooden table filled with little knick knacks like tea cups and kettles. The owner of the little shop seemed to be off somewhere, which had been the case the past couple of times she had been there. Malani wasn't sure if it was rude for her to be in there and looking about, or even spending time in there at all when he wasn't around. However, she couldn't help it. It called to her and just like her stolen memories, confused her.
Pulling out one of the wooden chairs, she lowered herself into the seat slowly, making sure to keep everything in place. The dark haired girl wouldn't want to upset anyone. Not because she cared too much, but because she couldn't possibly be bothered with such issues. Sitting there, her eyes stared across the table, taking in the sight. What was it with that particular place that felt so familiar? Zoning out in thought, she continued to sit there, still as a statue.
