[attr="class","LD1textarea"]Once upon a time there was an arcade full of many different video games. The game characters could meet each other by traveling through the power cords and meeting at the power strip. One of these game was called Sugar Rush. Venellope Von Schweetz was the lead character in the video game Sugar Rush, a racing game where she was the in-games worlds Princess. She loved racing, more than anything, and was one of the best racers in the game. However, at some point during her reign an evil racer name Turbo, whose own video game had been shut down, infiltrated Sugar Rush and tried to delete Princess Venellope in order to rule the world himself. His plan didn't work, for Venellope couldn't be deleted but he did succeed in messing with her program and turning her into a glitch.

Turbo changed his name to King Candy and erased all memories of Venellopes rule as the Princess. With no memory of her past, Venellope only knew one thing for sure-that she wanted to win a race. The other racers were cruel to her, but she was steadfast in trying to build her own racecar and take on the racetrack. Little did she know, if she crossed the finish line she would get all of her memories back. King Candy sabotaged her in many ways in order for her to never cross that line. Venellope, being known as a glitch, caused her to be ostracized and tormented by her peers and they would not let her race. Venellope had to embrace solitude for quite some time, finding refuge in Diet Cola Mountain, an unfinished volcano bonus track in the game. Like her, the mountain was abandoned.

She found a home there, building her own racecars and track. She also learned a lot of tricks during her time there, but she was always interrupted by the issues of being a glitch. She couldn't leave the game like the others could, and her glitch gave her a teleportation ability that she couldn't quite control, at least not at first. However, even though she had these troubles that didn't stop her from embracing her true nature. She is a racer at heart with a fast spirit, and a love of the track. She is energetic, humorous and a bit of a tomboy. Even though the years of bullying gave her a bitter outlook on life, she dishes it right back to people with quick witted remarks and comebacks. She never stops trying to make amends with her fellow racers and is incredibly forgiving, no matter what people do to her.

Her torment went of for fifteen years, though in the game they didn't show any aging. She was programmed as a nine year old, even as the years passed by. At fifteen, however, she met another ostracized being from another game, Ralph. During her time with Ralph, they discovered the truth about her being a glitch, though they didn't know her entire past, and worked together to win a race and take down Turbo. Even her teleporting glitch played a significant part in helping her win the race, after Ralphs encouragement to embrace it. They had their ups and downs, but they soon became best friend and Venellope forgave Ralph quickly for any fights they had. Throughout their adventure together. She also forgave the other racers when her memory was restored, but not after morbidly joking that she would have them executed for bullying her for so long. She also changed her name from 'Princess' to 'President', for she believed that was much more democratic and hard core.

She still remains her morbid, goofy, and somewhat inappropriate self and her teleporting glitch has remained with her. She was happy there, for the first time in a long time. However, when she was brought to Wonderland she suddenly found herself a seventeen year old girl with no memory of her past. Her love for speed is still there, however, as well as her trust, humor, quirkiness and tomboyish nature. She is quite happy to make a life in a new place, for Wonderland doesn't seem that strange to her. She doesn't know why, but living in a land made out of candy makes one prone to accepting other realities with ease!
