the Parents[break]
Sunny, gorgeous Hawaii was where Lilo Pelekai was born. As the second child to a sweet young couple, she completed their ohana. The family spent many evenings watching Lilo's big sister hula dance through her intermediate class to next level. You see, hula dancing was in their blood- their mother was a hula dancing pro, and together the two danced at local luaus. Lilo's father, on the other hand, was an amazing ukelele player which provided music to the dancing Pelekai women at home. The Pelekai's didn't live far from the beach and spent many days in the sun on top of surf boards, even little Lilo who was too small to surf on her own. They were a happy family with such talent.

the Curse[break]
Before the curse swept over the lands, Lilo was dealing with the loss of her parents. Lilo was experiencing depression and was extra mindful of Lono, the god that controls the weather. Lilo was desperate to keep the god happy, especially after losing her parents in a rain storm to a car accident. Due to her need to keep him happy, she was late to her hula lesson. After explaining why she was late to her instructor, a fellow student that was once her friend called her weird causing Lilo to attack, quite literally. This obviously didn't help Lilo's situation. [break][break]
Lilo was now in the care of Nani's hands and experiencing social difficulties. Nani was a wonderful big sister, working as often and as possible as she could to keep their family house but unfortunately wasn't around enough for Lilo. Lilo's problems escalated when she bought an alien disguised as a dog. Unknown to her, aliens were after her alien-dog. At Nani's job as a server and performer, Lilo and her dog take a table before the outdoor restaurant is attacked by those whom are trying to capture her dog. To the customers, and the workers, it looks as if Lilo was the culprit of all the destruction, which leads to Nani losing her job the next day.[break][break]
After a visit from a social worker threatening to take Lilo from Nani's care, Nani is forced to find a steady job quickly and to keep their dog in check. Nani scrambles to find a job, leaving Lilo to train her alien-dog while tagging along on her job hunt. Taking a break from the job search, they join Nani's friend at the beach for surfing when things go ary. Things look bad after Lilo nearly drowns by her alien-dog trying to escape the aliens after him. Again the social worker arrives but this time he makes plans to take Lilo the next day.[break][break]
The next day David tells Nani about a job opportunity which causes them to quickly head to the coffee shop in hopes to get there in time to receive a job. Lilo, on the other hand, is left at home when her dog is yet again attacked by aliens wanting to capture him. By the time Nani leaves the coffee shop she witnesses a firetruck speed to her home where it is nearly falling to the ground in destruction. Lilo is found already in the social worker's car, sad over the destruction her dog has caused, but as Nani pleads for custody for Lilo, she runs away from the scene. [break][break]
Lilo is sad and furious when she is yet again face to face with her 'dog' and even more so when she is captured by another alien while he escapes. Her dog's change of heart towards her is what inevitably saves her. Things take a turn for the better when she is eventually rescued by her alien-dog, Nani, and the two aliens that were originally after him and is able to keep her dog thanks to her certificate from the dog pound. Nani and Lilo happily accept her dog into their ohana, as long as he keeps a hold on his temper! Together the three aliens as well as Nani and Lilo, they rebuild their home and live an adventurous life together.[break][break]
One day Lilo woke in wonderland with her memory gone with a camera still in her hand. She has no recollection of her life in Hawaii but feels lost and lonely like she did when dealing with the loss of her parents. Now she must find where she belongs and who she really is.

Lilo is a friendly, courageous and good-spirited person. Her short temper hid a deep well of compassion. She has shown herself to be a inquisitive and compassionate young girl, who was quick to adapt despite being thrown into strange events. The girl holds confidence in what she believes in, such as her family. Lilo has a kind heart and cares for ones around her, and hates to see someone in pain, or in trouble. She'll do all he can to help, and won't leave anyone behind, or overlook someone suffering or frightened. Just know once she becomes your friend you will become apart of her family. [break]

Lilo's always willing to try something new, and takes it on with a laugh and a positivity. She is also prone to trouble, most often caused by her temper, as she keeps her feelings close to the surface. She often wanders into things and needs help out. However, although she gets herself in trouble a lot, she has the quick wits to get herself out, or at least halfway out. She tends to dive in headfirst, not only into unknown situations, but also into relationships and friendships. She falls for someone easily, although will often get bored if there isn't a deep connection there.
