Bailee loved roses, they were so pretty, so pure. So she had made a basket and headed down to pick a few for her classroom. As she made her way into the garden, she smiled and took a nice look around. She wasn't sure if she would meet anyone today, but she really hoped she would. As the beautiful woman strolled down the walk, she hummed a tune that she swore she was sung as a child. She couldn't remember the lyrics, but the rhythm was something magical, almost romantic.
Today, the flowers were in full bloom and boy were they amazing. Bailee couldn't believe how wonderful a job the grounds keeper did to have such beautiful flowers. Walking up to one of the ground workers she smiled brightly. "Sir? May I take a few of your flowers home with me, I would really like to place them in my classroom. The students would really like them." The man smiled at the woman and nodded. "Feel free to take as many as you like, just be careful Miss. they have thorns." The man spoke softly and Bailee nodded.
"Thank you." Bailee offered a smile and headed towards the deeper ends of the Garden.

As a guard it was his duty to patrol though honestly he found himself bored currently and thus he left his post. Nothing was going on anyway, it wouldn't hurt. Besides he could just tell the old fellow he was patrolling the garden to make sure nothing happened to it. Well nothing but what the groundskeepers were doing to em. The roses were pretty even he could recognize that, they kind of reminded him of something. Like something he once saw though the exact thing it was, he couldn't recall. Tod didn't dwell on it too long for he soon heard some humming and thus he paused, listening to it. A rather interesting tune, no words but still interesting. After a few moments, he decided to see just who was making it and behold it was a young lady.
"Pardon me Madam, but was it you humming?" Tod asked, feeling a bit foolish for asking.

Bailee had a few roses in her basket and smiled as a man walked up to her. He had red hair and was in a guard's uniform. She hoped she wasn't in any trouble, after all, she did get permission from one of the gardeners. When the man asked if it was her that was humming, she nodded. "Yes, it was me. I hope I wasn't bothering you too much." She loved the song and yet if anyone asked her about it she came up clueless. The Woman offered him a hand.
"I'm Bailee, I work at the school. I'm a teacher there." She really hopped the two could be friends. She really didn't like confrontation and well being that she was in the Queens garden and all she didn't really want to upset anyone. Bailey then saw a beautiful white rose, it was as white as snow and she smiled. "They are so beautiful." She said as she reached for the rose.

"Oh no, your not bothering me at all by it. In fact it was rather lovely to listen to. It was chasing my boredom away you see." Tod said kindly.
When she held out her hand, Tod reached for it and shook it. A kind smile on his face. So her name was Baliee?
"It's nice to met you Misd Baliee, what I am is rather obvious but my name's Tod Vulpus. Though Tod is much better and easier." Tod replied.
Following her gaze, he soon tilted his head confused. That rose....was very white. Snow white if you wanted to be exact. It stood out very well due to it. A look of curiosity seemed to take hold in his eyes along with his expression.
"Lovely yes, though what is a white rose doing there?" Tod asked confused. "The rest of em are red."

Snow smiled, she was happy that the song was not bothering the man, he did agree with her, the sound was lovely and she was glad that it chased away his boredom.
"I am glad to hear that." She replied to him, His name was Tod and she did agree that was pretty easy to say. "It's Very nice to meet you Tod." The two looked at the roses for a while, the one white rose in the bush of red. Yes, there was another white roses around the garden, but this one white rose was in a bush with only red roses in it and Bailee thought it was amazing. As Tod brought up the idea of the white rose in the bush of red she nodded in agreement.
"It is quite odd to have a white rose in a mix of Red when normaly they grow with their own colors, which is why the garden has red bushes and white bushes but they don't seem to mix like this."

It was very odd, he had taken note there were white rose bushes here and red ones but not together whenever he walked by the garden or in it like today. Puzzling and confusing, very much so. It also seemed like Baliee didn't have much of a idea either considering she seemed just as confused as him. Though whether or not she really was, he wasn't too sure on. She looked confused to him course he could be wrong and that could just be a different expression.
"Well if it's still there then I guess it's fine. After all, it would only be there if everyone was fine with it being there. Right?" Tod added.

That was a true question, one the teacher herself had no idea about. She just smiled and looked at him. "Magic maybe?" She laughed a bit. She believed little in magic, she thought there was normal magic such as love at first sight, really big birds with small wings being able to fly, the odd things like that seemed to be like magic.
That was the only thing she could come up with, and she would stick with it. Though it was more of a joke than any real answer. As he spoke about the white flower being fine she nodded.
"It's a true beauty though seeing something like this. Almost odd." The flower was the color of snow and seemed to be blooming just fine in a bush of blood red roses. Looking at the man she smiled. "How about we take a walk, I still have some flowers to get for my classroom. I don't want to take them all from the same bush, It would be nice to have the company."

Tod shrugged. Magic? He never was too sure on that little belief. He never really gave magic much if any thought on it being real or not. So who was he to put in his view on magic? Course he was still trying to wrap his head around this thing. His thoughts were stopped at the offer of a walk and he gave a smile.
"Sure, it be nice to have someone to chat to as well." Tod replied. "Chatting with the other guards can get boring."

Bailee was glad to hear that he would walk with her. The man seemed really nice and she always had a nack for making friends. So she smiled and lead the way. "I'm sure they only get boring because you are around them so often." She laughed as she made her way to another bush. She wanted to get to know the man and the only way to do that was to ask questions.
"Mr. Tod, do you have any family here in wonderland?" She asked, some people had families and other did not. So it was a process of questions to ask. It was also quite odd that some families didn't really look like one another then people who were not family looked like each other. It was quite odd but Bailee never put two and two together. After all, who was she to judge others?

With no memory of his life prior, he found it strange to be a guard. IT didn't fully feel like him but he wouldn't question it to many.
"None that I know of." Tod answered. "Yourself?"
Tod had wondered if he had any family sadly he held no knowledge of it and since no one ever approached him then he was unable to know. Some people who looked like family weren't and that as just how it worked. Some people seemed to know who they were related to. It would be nice...to have some sort of family though he knew that it was unlikely.

Bailee smiled, she had noticed that everyone seemed to pick a job where they had seemed best fitted. "I know how you feel. I don't know why I am a teacher, but I do know that I love Children. Perhaps Mr. Tod that you will find the answers to being a guard when time comes." Bailee enjoyed speaking with Tod. He was such a friendly person.
When he said that he did not have any family she nodded. That was quite sad that he didn't have anyone, yet the two were in the same boat. Bailee didn't have any family here on wonderland as well. "I understand that, I don't know If I had family here as well." She smiled at Tod. If only Bailee had known that the Queen was her stepmother.
