Fiery hair and a fiery personality. Merida is a hot ball of activity. She is one extreme to another. She either shows all her emotions or none, is completely into something with all her heart or not at all. You will know her opinion when she gives it, she doesn't hide it. Before the curse, Merida was as free as a bird and lived to do her own thing. Now she's lost her will. She is extremely passive and does as told, though her old personality comes through and she makes her decisions. Though usually, they aren't that good.

The hot headed young girl often gets into fights and makes enemies with her words. She doesn't trust people easily. They are all either after her title, her clan or just out to get her. She also is easy to anger. She doesn't deal with stupidity and it is often met with sarcasm and anger. That's how Merida shows emotions she can't explain, is with anger and sarcasm.

Merida certainly hasn't lost her sense of adventure. She is constantly exploring, shooting and running around wonderland when she gets the change to. She wants more to her life than she currently has. She feels like she is missing out on some great lost chance. That if she doesn't make her adventure soon, she may loose her fate.

Merida was born a princess yes, but the name is the only claim she will ever have to being a princess. She grew up with her parents and her three younger triplet brothers. Needless to say that was a interesting day in the castle. Merida's father had been a great hero, uniting four Waring clans to save them all and managed to be a lasting hero for the ages. The DunBroch name was a proud name because of him and all Merida has wanted since a young age was to be a hero. She didn't want to be the damsel in distress that her mother told her stories about, she wanted to be the hero. To save the day and be remembered as so much more than the beautiful princess.

She got that, well sorta. She may have turned her mother into a bear, but she managed to turn her back and stop her father from killing her! Granted it was her fault in the first place. Okay, that didn't make Merida feel like a hero. It made her feel like she fixed a nearly disastrous mistake. All because she didn't want to marry. She wanted to be her own person before she became someones little lass wife.

Merida knew she shouldn't have blamed herself, she couldn't have known that cooky witch was gonna turn her mother into a bear, yet it still ate at the young lass for the time afterwords. She was never going to be a hero. She was too selfish, too hot headed and too self concerned to be a hero. All the years Merida spent dreaming, she thought that she was lost after this. Maybe it would have been best for her to just move on, she had her chance to be a hero and save her own hand in a honorable way, but she ruined it with magic that was out of her control.

Shortly after that was when the curse hit. She was taken by the curse to wonderland. She has changed slightly, unaware of her past and her own will. She had lost the flame the fiery red head once had and now needs help to ignite it once again.
