[attr="class","LD1textarea"] Evelyn was born to a noble family who were publicly admired and respected. However, behind the scenes the family practiced the art of dark magic and secretly plotted to take over the kingdom. Evelyn, a beautiful young lady who grew embrace and master the dark arts, was the key to that. Her parents saw to it that she was ever the sweet, well-mannered lady before royalty, with her being the cold-hearted witch of a woman in private. The family's target was a king who had married a genuinely kind and beautiful queen, and was the father or a beautiful young girl named Snow White. [break][break]
There was a near "tragedy" for the family though when Evelyn fell in love with the stable boy, Daniel, who taught her horseback riding. Daniel was a good man and brought out the good in Evelyn, and made her realize that what her family was planning was cruel and wrong. She planned to run away with Daniel, but the family caught on to this. Her parents tried to make her believe that Daniel was not interested in her, but in the family's wealth. When she did not believe them, her father cast a spell that made him appear to be Daniel, and had Evelyn catch him stealing from the family vault. The false Daniel claimed he wanted to marry Evelyn for the family fortune and had grown impatient. When the real Daniel came to take Evelyn away, her father had him arrested and a bitter Evelyn told the authorities that she had witnessed "his crime." The incident make her heart become cold again and she agreed to resume the plot against the royal family. Deep down though, Evelyn was genuinely heartbroken... proving she indeed had a heart. The first part of the plan was to curse the current queen. They had to cause her death without it being traced back to them. So at the queen's birthday ceremony, Evelyn presented her with glass of cider made from the apples of a forbidden tree in the darker parts of the kingdom. The legend had that whoever consumed those apples would die some horrible death. A few days later, the queen was riding in her carriage when the horses went wild for some unexplained reason and caused to carriage to fall off a cliff. No one could possibly suspect that a glass of cider was behind all that. [break][break]
While the kingdom was in mourning, Evelyn played innocent and offered her friendship and comfort to the king and his daughter. Being manipulative, she caused the king to fall in love with her. Soon they were married. Now Queen, Evelyn thought she would be happy. However, she found herself growing increasingly jealous of her stepdaughter Snow White. Her magical mirror, a beloved gift given to her by her parents, who had died mysterious deaths as most who practiced the dark arts did, reminded her of how people found Snow to be more beautiful than even their new Queen. The king himself even felt that way. Evelyn plotted to kill Snow with a huntsman, and unfortunately the king caught this plotting. Evelyn had no choice but to kill him, having her huntsman toss him over the balcony. The huntsman fled the scene, and no one could believe that the delicate Evelyn had the strength to push the strong king. Evelyn was now sole ruler, and continued her quest to murder Snow White, who fled the kingdom. [break][break]
After searching for months, Evelyn discovered that Snow White had been hiding in the home of seven dwarfs. Disguising herself as an old woman, she brought one of the legendary forbidden apples to Snow. When Snow bit into it, the apple began what was to be a slow death for the young woman. This plan soured when Prince Charming broke the curse of the apple with a kiss. The Prince then had his forces storm the Queen's castle, but Evelyn fled, disappearing for some time. During this absence, Evelyn found and aligned herself with three other villains... Maleficent, Cruella Deville, and Ursula. Together, they plotted a curse which would rob all but them of precious memories and sending the inhabitants of their enchanted world to Wonderland. The curse went haywire though, and only Evelyn and Maleficent's memories remained. [break][break]
Evelyn and Maleficent made the best of it though. With the Red Queen's memories wiped as well, they took over her palace. The two co-ruled behind the scenes, but to save face and not risk exposing what had happened with the curse, Evelyn played the role of sole queen and Maleficent played the part of the royal adviser and sorceress. For now, they've decided it's best not to let their former two co-horts in on what has happened, but who knows what will happen. For now, they are enjoying this new power over many of their former enemies.
