Once upon a time, there was a boy. His name was Hiro Hamada, who had an older brother Tadashi, and two loving parents. Hiro lived with them for some time, like any other child would, until his parents passed away, and he was left in Tadashi's care. Growing up, it was learned that Hiro was a robotics expert, a genius of his generation. He was very smart, and very intelligent for his young age. His brother, was also talented and held a spot in the San Francisco Institute of Technology. Although smart, Tadashi was very caring to his little brother and paid a lot of time to the boy.[break][break]
Despite this, Hiro used his intelligence to create robots and participate in back alley fights, which were essentially illegal. Tadashi most definitely didn't like this, and instead brought Hiro to the Institute to introduce him to his friends: Go go, Fred, Wasabi, and Honey Lemon. He also introduced Hiro to Baymax, a healthcare robot Tadashi had been working on. Hiro found all of this very interesting, and wanted to join, so he created micro-bots, nanobots that are controlled telepathically through a transmitter.[break][break]
The institute is very impressed, and allows Hiro to join. During this process, Alistair Kre, owner to the Krei Tech, wanted to know if he could buy the nanobots. While Hiro contemplated this, Dr. Callaghan, head of the robotics program, convinced Hiro not to. So Hiro declined. While Hiro, and his new found friends head out to celebrate the building caught on fire while many were inside. Tadashi rushed in to save Dr. Callaghan, but never came out. Tadashi as well as Dr. Callaghan were both assumed dead.[break][break]
Hiro grew deeply depression in time, and this causes him to accidentally activate Baymax. Hiro then discovers a nanobot with Baymax, and at first thinks it is a glitch, but Baymax suggests they follow it. So the nanobots leading them to an abandoned warehouse where nanobots are being created in mass numbers. When they are discovered, they are attacked by a masked man, and forced to flee. Angry from his invention being stolen, Hiro upgrades Baymax to have armor, before following the nanobot to the warehouse to surprise attack the masked man. But as they try to pull off the attack, Hiro's friends pull up in a car, since Baymax contacted them.[break][break]
The masked man then attacks them, as they rapidly escape in the car, and they are forced into the water. Baymax thankfully floats them to safety. Fred then suggests they stay at his house-which is incredibly large, to come up with a plan, and they do. While at the mansion, Hiro upgrades Baymax, and gives powersuits to his friends before tracking the masked man to an island.[break][break]
Rushing to the island, they start a fight to take off the mask and reveal the masked man's identity, and when they do, the identity is revealed to be Dr. Callaghan. Turns out he was working with Alistair Krei on a teleportation experiment. Hiro takes out Baymax's health chip, and orders him to kill Dr. C. Baymax almost does it, but his friends manage to re-install the health chip, making Baymax normal. Hiro then angrily leaves with Baymax, leaving his friends behind. While at home, Baymax begins to play the videos of Tadashi running test with Baymax, and this affects Hiro, and Hiro decides that killing Dr. C isn't what Tadashi would of wanted so he goes back to his friends to apologize and re-join the time [break][break]
While watching the teleporter footage, they realize the pilot used in the test was Abigail, Dr. C's daughter, and she never returned from the portal, thus why Dr. C wants revenge. The team races back to the hideout, and begins fighting Dr. C and the nanobots. After a tough fight, they finally succeed, but the unstable portal begins to grow. The team soon prepares to leave, but when Baymax detects a life source, essentially Abigail's he races in with Hiro following him. Once inside, with Abigail safely in Baymax's grip, they realize they can't escape because Baymax's armor is damaged. Baymax then realizes the only way they can escape is through his rocket hand, that would push Hiro and Abigail back through the portal. Hiro refuses to leave his friend. Baymax asks if Hiro is satisfied with his care, Hiro says yes, and Baymax shoots off his rocket hand, and deactivates, falling into the distance[break][break]
Soon Dr. C is arrested, and almost all is well. Hiro sits in Tadash's old lab, where he realizes that inside Baymax's robot hand is his health chip. With reinstated determination, he rebuilts Baymax and puts in the health chip, bringing Baymax back to reality. They then live happy ever after. Until the curse set in, and everything was taken away.
