super—[break][break]
Once upon a time, a girl named Helen Truax was in love with a boy named Bob Parr. But it wasn’t as simple as that, love never is, is it? Helen wasn’t just any woman, she was Elastigirl —the feminist ‘Super’ eager to break the glass ceiling that most Supers were male. Elastic and dexterous, Helen could stretch any part of her body to great lengths and mold it into shapes and sizes. She wanted to be among the best of the best. [break][break]
But of course, Bob managed to sweep her off her feet and the two were married. However, shortly after, Supers were outlawed. Helen’s dreams of becoming one of them most predominant Supers in the world was flushed down the toilet and she had to shift her ideals to a more traditionalist sense of view — she became a housewife and eventually, a mother.[break][break]
Helen and Bob had three kids — Violet, Dash and Jack Jack — all of whom were super. It wasn’t too much of a surprise considering Helen and Bob had been the most pronounced Supers the world had ever seen. The struggle of raising their children was just as much, if not more, of a struggle than saving the world on a daily basis, but Helen and Bob managed. Life was mundane without being a Super, but Helen made it work. She busied herself with housework but was always wary that her children would break the anti-Super laws put in place by the government. In contrast, her husband thought their children should grow up naturally.[break][break]
super mom—[break][break]
So it was a constant tug of war — Helen had adapted to the new world order for Supers, but Bob fought it. It caused tension in the marriage, fights and caused slammed doors. Bob pulled away — going on a ‘business trip’ and making her even more suspicious of what was going on.[break][break]
But what she thought was an affair ended up being something even bigger. Syndrome and the island, Mirage, the return of the Supers. The beginning of The Incredibles.[break][break]
Together, the Parr family was able to save the city of Metroville from Syndrome’s Omnidroid Version 10. Through their work together the city was saved and Syndrome was no more. But that world of happily ever afters was short lived.[break][break]
super…normal—?[break][break]
The curse hit and the Supers were no more.[break][break]
Now she’s Ellen Agatha Parr, the older sister of Dash, Jamie and Violet Parr and the queen of sass. Somewhere during the curse, she reverted to the feminist, no-nonsense girl that wants nothing more than to break into the male-dominated world and prove herself. She’s very protective over her siblings, but of course, she has no idea that they’re actually her children from her life in the other world.[break][break]
She’s flexible in form, but not in ideals — in fact, she hardly ever likes to budge on what she thinks. Ellen is headstrong and determined to always be the best she can be, which makes her the perfect Director of The Wonderland Protection Agency. Dedicated to investigating the bumps in the night, Ellen and the WPA serve as the police force, detective agency and otherwise investigative team in Wonderland. El heads the group as their fearless leader, sending them on jobs and trying to keep the entire world from falling apart.[break][break]
And then there’s Bob. She swore she wouldn’t get distracted — she’s poured herself into the WPA and Bob is a distraction…albeit a really cute distraction. She has no idea that they’ve already been down this path once before…but this time, it could be different. [break][break]
Wonderland has become a second start for Ellen, her husband and her children. [break][break]
