tag; @chesh | From his view from the attic he obtained when waking up in this wonderland, Kovu could see all of the village. Although the real owners of this home had yet moved in he saw no harm in sleeping in their attic. Somedays the young man would watch the village as it built itself larger and larger to accommodate the more characters that seemed to keep appearing. Everyone had an agenda and almost all of them had a routine to their day. Then there was one curious man whom did not have a practical routine. He owned a shop in the village and although it wasn't opened as long or as often as the other stores, it still looked to be kept after and active enough to stay a while.
Now that the sun had finished setting, Kovu accepted the idea of walking through the village. There was only so much he could see from a far and he was more than curious to figure out what this man's shop was. Cautiously he made his way around the back of the village to keep himself hidden. It had been hours since he saw the man leave his shop but that didn't stop Kovu from venturing near the windows and peering in. He could make out shelves full but of what exactly?

music | Keith - others Keith was thinking about closing up for the rest of the night, he had little to no visitors today and he was extremely bored, but he did have some work he needed to do before he could just close up for the night. So he went to the back of his shop and started moving boxes. Each box contained things that were heavy or light or empty. Keith would throw the empty box and complain about how he needed to get rid of them. The truth was he didn't want to get rid of the empty boxes, he didn't know why, but he just wanted to keep them. So he just threw them in the spare room that was filled with empty boxes. Grabbing one of the boxes that needed to go up to the counter, the man made his way to the front of his shop. The man started putting the items on the shelves, though he felt like something was watching him so he turned around and saw a young man peering at the shop from his window. Keith walked over to the door and opened it. "Hello, It's a bit late for kiddos to be out and about..." He looked at the kid and wondered a bit than spoke some more. "Why don't you come inside and I can make you some dinner and some tea." |

tag; @chesh | Kovu's curiosity was what brought him here and whilst he peered into the main window of the strange shop, it never occured to him how shady it might have seemed. A strange boy in the dark, peering into the windows of a business. Was he looking for trouble? The young man could hear noises from the back before seeing the owner of the shop come forward. Quietly and ever so curiously, he watched him unpack more merchandise from another cardboard box. Kovu was still trying to make out what he was placing on the shelves when the man turned- staring right at him. Should he run?
Kovu jumped back from the window and dashed to the corner of the shop, peering around the corner when he heard the door open. Kovu didn't care for the fact that this man called him a kiddo but he let it slide- he didn't seem to be menacing nor did Kovu seem to be in any harm. The man then extended an offer to come in to have some dinner and tea and boy did that sound fantastic to him. Kovu didn't have much food in his little attic and often times just stole from the fields at night. He slowly came out from around the corner of the building and towards the door before speeding up to a dash when he went through the door opening, sliding out of the man's way. The shop was larger inside and not as dark as it looked from outside.
"What is this place?"

music | Keith - others Keith lead the boy inside and smiled, the shop was his pride and joy, it was big and beautiful, always filled with jokes, toys, and pop rocks. Keith really did enjoy pop rocks, he didn't know why but he did. "It's a Joke Shop. A place for people to buy things to prank their friends or their enemies." The man was quite happy to be able to talk to the boy about his shop. He could tell that the boy would be really good at pranking people, after all, that look he was doing through the window, would be a scary thing to most people, but Keith was hard to scare, and harder to prank. Walking into the back, he man put on some tea and looked through his fridge. "What would you like for Dinner, seems I have Hamburgers, and I have some tuna, for Tuna sandwiches, choice is yours." Keith really did need to go get food, but he was happy with what he had. Fish and beef. Both things he quite enjoyed. He was a somewhat of a good cook himself, but he could be better. |

tag; @chesh | The shop was better lit than the village at this time of night. It took a moment for Kovu to even allow his eyes to adjust to seeing so much at one time, afterall, he spent most of his time in such dark spaces. Here he was in a shop with a stranger and all he was concerned with was what was on the shelves. The man beside him explained to him that it was a joke shop where he sold things primarily for pranks. "Pranks?" Kovu looked at the man was such an inquisitive look. "What do you mean?" The young boy wasn't familiar with the word, it wasn't exactly in his vocabulary.
The man made his way to the back, leaving Kovu to look around the shop on his own. Each aisle was tall and filled from different things. The stranger offered him the choice in food from the back room and Kovu's mouth watered at the idea of eating something other than fruit he stole from the fields. "Which is better?" Kovu turned from the aisle in to the direction the voice came from. In this world he had had neither options.

music | Keith - others Keith looked at the boy, he didn't know what pranks were, such a sad time when the youth of today didn't know the fun things of "older" people. "Well It's like a practical Joke, something that makes you laugh." The man threw a can of peanuts at the boy, "Hear have some peanuts to snack on." He said walking to the back. If Kovu opened the jar he would find snakes jumping out at him. When the boy asked which food was better he thought a moment and put the tuna back in the fridge for later and put the hamburgers on the stove as they cooked the man made his way back up front to see the boy. Smiling at him, he watched for a short moment. "Find anything you like?" He smiled, Keith kept an ear and eye on the kitchen in the back. Making sure that the food was cooking and not burning. Walking towards the young boy he smiled. "You know, Why don't you pick something out you like, and you can keep it." Keith enjoyed people putting interest into the pranking business, after all, he could tell the boy was someone worth investing in. |

tag; @chesh | Kovu listened to the man as if he was parting wisdom upon him. He scrunched his face at the can of peanuts Keith threw to him. He looked over the can in his hands once before popping off the top of it. The snakes jumped out of the can at him and fell to the ground. Although Kovu didn't jump he did cock his head back. That never happened to him before, he examined the inside of the can. There were no peanuts in here. He looked down at the snakes. They weren't moving and looked very fake.
"Was this.."It dawn on him, "A joke?". His eyes widened and a smile crept across his face. "You just-" Kovu's goofy smile widened, "Just pranked me!" he laughed out as he looked back down at the snakes on the ground, pushing one with the tip of shoe.
The man came back from the back room and asked him if he found anything he liked. Kovu looked up from the snakes and glanced around the shop once more. "Well I- I don't know what any of it is." He spoke plainly. It was then the man offered to let him pick something out to keep. Kovu raised his brows at the idea that he would just let him take something from him. "Are you sure?"

music | Keith - others Keith liked this kid. He was someone who Keith felt he could trust. Keith had few people he actually considered friends. everyone else were just acquaintance. Keith felt that Kovu could probably be more then an acquaintance to him. Watching as the snakes jumped out at him the man smiled. It took the boy a while to figure out that it was a joke and once he got it and laughed keith joined in. "Yes! you are quite right. It's always best to prank someone when they don't expects it. Like taking a whoopee cushion and placing it on a seat before a girl sits on it. You know how they are with noises that come out of themselves. This one lets it rip." He laughed. "I can't tell ya how many times I have gotten smacked because of them. but so worth it." When Kovu said he didn't know what any of it was Keith understood, he had to use everything before he knew what it was so he told the kid this. "You pick what you think looks good, I will tell you what it does. once you find one you think will be good I'll let you keep it." He smiled. He really did see himself somehow in this kid. Rebellious. |

tag; @chesh | The moment Keith told him about a whoopee cushion and the noise it made being similar to that of a bodily noise, Kovu gave him shocked look. The very idea of pranking a girl with such a toy was awful to him and he would never dare do such a thing to his Kiara. Can't tell ya how many time I have gotten smacked because of them. Kovu made a wincing face without the noise, "You still pull pranks even though you get hurt? Is it really worth all of that?"
The young man placed the top on the now empty container and placed it on the closest shelve before giving the shop one more glance. "Well.. It is kind of funny when people get mad." Kovu admitted as he looked down an aisle beside him. There was just so much to see and he had no clue what any of it was. Kovu looked bewildered at a set of hooks holding plastic chickens up. "What does this.." He grabbed the rubber chicken and flinched at the high-pitched sound it made, "I don't think I'll be choosing this one." He looked back over at Keith with a shake of his head. Kovu squeezed it again, now being familiar to the absurd noise it made, and smiled at the man. He could see why people would like it, it just wasn't a noise he cared for.
"What's the best "prank" you've pulled on someone?" He asked curiously as he stood on his tip toes to see the items on the top shelf.
