[attr="class","LD1textarea"] Personality: Zhou was a honor and traditional following man, he kept to tradtions despite knowing that if he went to war at his age and injury that he would most likely die but would still go due to it being a honor to serve his emperor once more and it would bring honor to his family. Due to this he had clashed with his daughter, stating that she had to learn her place. He still loved her, in fact he treasured her as a father would to their only daughter. He was a compassionate man with a hint of wisdom though he was prideful thus resulting in a stubborn streak. While not a gambling man, he did place a wager with his mother in law, stating it was a investment not a gamble. Now due to the curse his traditional ways and honor have weakened, at least to the point where if he had his daughter still, he wouldn't have spoken to her in the way he had before. Honor is important to him though he has a bit of a rebellious stage, something that never kicked in back in his original life. Thus his pride has turned more into stubbornness and he will butt heads. He does have moments were he appears to be a goof due to messing up though he does enjoy a good laugh as well as harmless fun. He does respect the law an thus harmless fun is never anything near law breaking. His serious nature reveals itself often around authority figures an those he isn't too certain on but with friends his goofy ways an fun loving reveal themselves. His stubbornness will extend to trying to get his friends to unwind, he'll literally do what he can to make ya smile and do something new so long as they aren't out doing a mission or with authority figures around. [break][/break]History: Zhou was born to the typical Chinese family, they weren't nobles but they were well off. As the only child much responsibility fell onto him rather quickly. Resulting in him growing up sooner rather than enjoying his childhood. For a long time life was peaceful, when he was adult he was paired to Li by the matchmaker as was custom. They did fall in love with each other and had a beautiful daughter together. Mulan was the name they gave her and it fit perfectly. Sadly war came to the land and as the only male member of the family he had to go. War is never pleasant and from it he sustained a bad injury, rendering him walking with a limp and a crutch. Yet he was well respected and some called him a hero making him a well known man. Returning to life with his family was difficult, Li's mother came to live with them. Oh by the Ancestors the woman gambled so much in so many ways. Mulan grew and was soon was at the marring age, he had high hopes for her, believing that she would get a worthy husband. Sadly it wasn't meant to be, more than once she went and something happened in which the matchmaker wouldn't match her up with anyone. One morning when she was about to go there again, he went to the family shrine and prayed to the Ancestors to help her. Mulan soon appeared which surprised him, she procedded to give him his tea though he reminded her that they were counting on her. Once she left he sighed and went to pray some more.[break][/break]Later when Mulan arrived back, he smiled to her though noticed something was wrong as she hide from him. Li told him what happened and thus he went to go talk to Mulan. Sitting next to her, he spied a cherry blossom that hadn't bloomed yet. Telling Mulan that when it blooms it would be the most beautiful however he was also referring to her. Giving her a kind smile it quickly faded as he heard those familiar drums, he rose and Mulan asked what it was. However he didn't answer.[break][/break]The drums meant exactly what he thought, Chi Fu had appeared telling everyone the huns invaded. One man from every family had to come forth and serve. Giving Li his crutch, he walked up to Chi Fu and bowed everyone had cleared a path for him. Saying he was ready to serve once more, he was about to take the scroll when Mulan appeared. Shocked by this though he understood she meant well, he couldn't show that he did though despite Chi Fu's words. Having dismissed Mulan he accepted the scroll and went back inside, ignoring his crutch all the while. Once inside, he practiced however the injury clearly restricted his movements and it dawned on him he would end up dying if he went but he had no choice. Honor demanded he go as well as tridition, Mulan of course spoke out once more. He tried to explain it to her but it failed, in a bit of frustration he told her that it was time she learned her place as he once had.[break][/break]Unknown to him that same night, Mulan took the scroll and his armor, leaving home to take his place. He was awoken by his mother in law and shock took over him, seeing that she had indeed taken his armor, he tried to stop her. Only to fall onto the ground and to stare in grief at the gates. Li told him to go after her for she could get killed but he reminded her, if he revealed Mulan she would be killed. Women weren't fit for the army as traditions said. The whole time, he sat at home, fearful for Mulan's safey. When she returned home, relief and joy to see her again came over him. Telling her that the greatest gift and honor was having her for his daughter. A young man Shang appeared and was claiming to be returning his helemt, though once glance to Mulan was enough for him to merely nod. Allowing Shang to stay for dinner and sometime later, the two were to wed. Sadly the happy occasion wouldn't come due to the curse.[break][break] The curse freed him of his older age as well as injury, giving him a new chance at life. However there was something else. Parts of himself that never got to be appeared in personality due to embracing his role in life early. He joined the Palace Guard and has made a few friends there but no memory of his past has left him in a slight state of uncertainty but he is pushing forward.
