Kristoff headed out from his home and off to the woods. Today he was going to be chopping down a tree that was really tall and big then he would work on making it into fire wood or he would make it into paper. The process was a hard one and took most of his and the others time. But he enjoyed the work, it kept his mind off of the pretty girl at the chocolate shop and it also kept his mind of his thoughts of the things he could not remember. The man pulled out a carrot from his pocket and began to eat it as he walked down the street. Finally making his way into the woods he followed the path to the area that the workers were cutting down.
The men had two jobs, cut down the trees but plant new ones in their place, this was to keep fresh trees growing, every other month they would plant at least 20 trees, that was more then half the trees they cut down. Kristoff enjoyed both parts of the job. Walking up to the tree that had a red marked K on it he smiled, this was his tree to cut down. So setting his lunch box down the man pulled his ax out and smacked the tree with it.

Aurore's house was tidy, each cup and saucer in the cupboard. The floor swept and the laundry out to dry. She smiled at the results of her morning of cleaning. Now she could go out and work in her garden. It wasn't really work to her. She loved spending time outside, feeling the sun on her skin and hearing the birds whistle past. Placing a shawl over her fair hair to keep the sun off she opened her back door, closing the bottom part of it. The sun shone down through the leaves, giving warmth to the growing plants. Today would be fabulous, so long as nothing unusual happened. The smile that had been growing on her face, disappeared. Something unusual always happened out here. She didn't scare as easily as some, for she knew most animals did not wish to harm, only to keep you away from their homes. But the creatures here were not like other the animals she was used to. Or thought she was used to. She shook her head. If she thought too much about it she would scare herself silly. So she did what she loved most. She started singing. She sang as she grabbed a bucket and sat on, beginning to pull the weeds that popped up in the rich soil. She pulled a watering can with her, watering the plants as she went. She had nearly forgotten her fears when she heard a thunderous BOOM! She jerked her head up. What was that noise? Leaves fell from the trees around her. Maybe a tree falling? She cocked her head, listening for more unusual sounds. Murmurs. The birds were quiet. Someone was out there, probably more than one someone. Hopefully not something. She stood up and grabbed her bucket taking it with her as she walked back to her small cottage. She set it down as she picked up a rake. She was going to find out what that noise was, but if it was anything unfriendly, she was not going to go unprepared. Stepping carefully, Aurore stalked quietly through the forest toward the noise of what was beginning to sound like men talking together. She started to relax. Maybe they were just cutting firewood. That would be fine, but really it would be better if they didn't it in a different part of the forest, not so close to her house. Who knew what sort of creatures they would wake up. She could distinctly hear the men speaking now, she lowered her rake, taking a deep breath. Nothing to be afraid of. Just men doing their jobs. She took a few more steps walking past a rather large tree, then screamed as an ax fell into the tree she was walking past. She held her rake up above her head and closed her eyes, taking a swing.
