Milo's grandfather had gone on about the culture of Atlantis once more and Milo was interested, he just didn't want his grandfather to get hurt trying to find it. At one point the old man suggested that maybe Milo's crystal had something to do with it since it was so odd. Milo doubted it. Going to the library he found a book on it or at least what people thought about it, it was hard to say if this Atlantis excited and really Milo felt more drawn to it. Drawn to finding it, it just felt so right. So he set out, taking the old beaten book with him, a bag full of supplies, and of course the crystal he dressed in a sweater and headed into the forest. The sun was high when he headed out into the forest and at first things seemed alright, however the deeper he went the stranger it got. The creatures here were certainly odd. A bird with no eyes and yet there was a pair of glasses with eyes that was so strange. Put them together and the bird had eyes.....kind of creepy.
Shaking his head, he took the old beaten book and lifted it up, turning his gaze to it as he read it. Okay the book claimed that the kingdom of Atlantis was buried deep within the woods, other than that there wasn't a defining path. No certain way to go although...it did mention that there wasn't a actual path, never was. Whether that was true or not he could only say that there wasn't a path anymore. Thus he closed the book and headed off, putting it back in his bag. Unknown to him there was someone nearby.

The day had started of normal for the girl. She helped the village like she normally did, but what got to her next was something that alarmed her. "Kida, an Intruder is getting close to the borders! What do we do?" The man spoke to her in a different language than what others were use too. Kida looked at him and replied. "Get a search party, I will lead." She made her way back to her home and grabbed her mask. The woman ran out of the city with a few people behind her, each were in a different mask, their eyes and mouth glowing. They looked like giant heads with arms and legs.
The group watched the man, Kida was ready to attack, ready to show the man that he had gone too far i to the woods. Yet something inside her was pulling to the man and it was in a good way, but she didn't want to trust that feeling she wanted to protect her city, after all, no one could remember what happen or why they were there but Kida wanted to protect them. Hopping through the trees, she watched him. Every move he made, her eyes followed him. Part of her was ready to strike him down, the other was curious.
When the man had come to a somewhat of an area where the group decided to jump down around him. Kida put her staff at the man's chest, yet she didn't harm the man because of what she saw, the Crystal of her people. She then spoke to him in Atlantian. "Who are you? What are you doing here?" The woman kept rambling off questions in a very fast manor.

Milo didn't have a idea on what was going to happen and suddenly he found himself surrounded. Moving back, he kept his hands away from the bag so they would see he had nothing. They couldn't be just people from the village, their appearance was different as well as clothing. He didn't see people who had white hair. Nor masks such as that, oh if only his grandfather where here. He found himself staring and was soon snapped out of it when she pointed the speak at his chest. Oddly enough the language sort of clicked in his mind, it sounded like a mixture of languages and while he wasn't that good at them (due to the curse), he could still do something since he read several books on languages.
"I'm Milo Thatch, I came looking for answers." Milo answered, in a weak attempt of Atlantian. "Answers about this, I woke up with it and I feel like it's important. Like...like something that can help me remember but I can't figure out just what it is. Please slow down, I'm not that good at this."
Milo and slowly reached for the crystal around his neck and held it out before him; though kept it round his neck. The crystal was dull, not glowing unlike the other atlantian crystals. It had been disconnected from the others and really it was interesting who it once belonged to and who he was to the lost Empire.

Kida looked at the others then looked back at Milo, she wasn't sure if she should trust him, it was then that one of the men said something and Kida nodded. Moving her spear from his chest, she handed it to one of he others and pulled the mask off of her face and smiled a bit. There was something about him that made her happy. "Milo Thatch, You speak Atlantian. " Kida's whole mood changed towards him. It had seemed he knew about her culture and that was exciting to her.
When he held out the crystal towards her, she looked at it. She had many questions about him and the other places, she also wanted to know why his was not glowing like theirs were.
Turning away from the man she looked at the other two and spoke to them in Atlantian, a bit to fast. Turning back to the man she smiled brightly handing the mask to one of her partners and looked back at Milo.
"Come with me Milo Thatch." She grabbed his hand and ran though the forest with him, when they finally came up to a city, the buildings were covered in moss and life. "Welcome to the City of Atlantis!"

When the mask was removed, his eyes widened as he stared at her. She was lovely though course he slowly lowered his hands and let the crystal fall to be against his chest. When she said he spoke their language, he didn't really know what to say. He stayed quiet as she talked to her people, unable to catch what she was saying nor what the others where. IT seemed things changed and soon he was being led along, unable to protest at all. He stayed silent as they moved along and when they came to halt he was just about to speak when he was pretty much struck with awe.
It was real, deep within the woods there was a lost empire. The buildings were old with moss covering them but still. It was real and alive. A few moments went by before he snapped himself out of it.
"Beautiful." Milo replied, he then turned his gaze to her with a smile. "How...how long have you been here?"

Kida was having Mixed feelings, part of her really wanted to trust this guy the other part, knew what she had to do at the end of this little 'welcome to Atlantis' thing. She would have to keep him quiet, and that meant he would never return to the outside lands, she knew the man would meet his end this time. Those thoughts didn't stop her as she lead him to the outer city.
After welcoming him she watched his reaction. This is what he wanted right? To see Atlantis? The questions brought up questions of her own. Looking at her City she smiled. "We have been here for as long as we can remember." The girl spoke English to him, it was accented a bit but It was still his native tongue. "Follow Me Milo Thatch we have much to discuss."
Kida walked towards the City and often kept an eye on the man, one wrong move from him and she would not hold back. The City folk watched the two, curious about the newcomer. They wondered why Kida would bring a stranger into the city, but no one judged the woman who protected them.

For as long as she could remember? OR just her people? Did that mean they could recall their lives past two months ago? Or was it just due to the two months they were limited like everyone else? So hard to know and so many questions went through his mind. Course it was then his mind reqistered that she spoke English.
"You can speak English too? That makes things much easier, I was afraid however I understood you earlier would just disappear." Milo answered.
Being stared at was nothing new, course he could understand why they were. He did look different compared to them in a many ways. Course right now his thoughts weren't even on the fact that he might not be able to leave. Really he was just so overjoyed at what was going on.
"So....what is it you wanted to...discuss?" Milo asked as they kept going.

Kida smiled at him, she knew many language for some reason but that was mostly because Atlantian was a mixture of all of them, so it was clear she knew a good amount.
"Atlantians speak many languages." The woman smiled as she lead him to the throne room. The questions she had for him were simple. Okay well she had a lot of questions and none of them were simple. "Milo Thatch, I have many questions for you." the girl sat on the seat and patted the spot next to him. "Please sit." She smiled warmly at him.
"How did you find us?" Kida asked as she watched him closely. She was simply showing kindness to this man because for some reason she believed she knew him.
(I'm sorry its sort and lacking.)

"Oh, I wasn't sure if English was in there since I could pick out a few languages but not all." Milo answered. "I've read a few languages but I didn't know I could speak em."
Once they entered the throne room, he found himself feeling like he'd been here. But that was nonsense. He never came out into the woods before. When she gestured for him to take a seat next to her he did so quietly, trying to get his mind to focus on what she wanted to know than him just looking around.
"Well mainly this book." Milo said as he took it out of his bag and held it out to her. "My grandfather was always interested in ancient cultures an such, so the legends of Atlantis naturally drew his attention and well....I couldn't think of anything else to try to figure out what this was."
Milo pointed to the dull crystal around his neck as it hung there. Course he was a tad unsure if his suspicions were right. While she had a similiar looking crystal her's was glowing, so why was it his wasn't? It was hard to say.
"M...May I ask a question? Like you ask a question and then I ask a question." Milo suggested kindly, he really would like some answers himself.

Kida watched the man as she sat next to her. When he pulled out the book she felt that it was familiar to her. Lightly she reached out and placed her hand on the book. her focus was on the book, questions were coming to her more then she could remember. She wanted to know why this man was familiar and why she didn't want to end him for finding Atlantis or why the book lead him to the place. When he asked if he could ask questions she nodded.
"Of course why wouldn't you be able to ask questions Milo Thatch. This sounds like a game. I like games." She smiled brightly, as she waited for his question. It was then that a man brought in some fruits and some water for the two. Kida turned to them and thanked them. she offered a glass of water to Milo.

Milo let her touch the book seeing no harm in it. She was probably curious and confused as to how this book had brought him here. To be honest he doubted it would help him find this place.
"I was just being polite." Milo said with a smile. "What exactly is this? I mean in terms of significant to your culture."
He was referring to the crystal around his neck, holding it out a little bit more so it would be easier to see. It was interesting to hear that she thought of the both of em asking question was like a game. Not a bad way to look at it.

Kida smiled, this guy seemed nice and she was more then happy to answer his questions. When he asked about the crystal she looked at hers. Kida's crystal was glowing but Milo's was not. This brought up many questions in itself. From what Kida understood the crystals brought her people life. So she wondered if perhaps Milo was one of her people who was separated from them at some point, which is another reason she didn't hurt him right away.
"That Milo Thatch is the Crystal. Why yours does not glow is questioning. From What we know it brings us life." She wanted to know why his didn't glow. Why would he have one and it not glow. She wanted to reach out and touch it but she didn't know if that would be okay seeing that it would be personal sapce and well she didn't want just anyone in hers so she was always cautious about being in others.
"Why does your crystal not glow Milo?" She asked looking up at him, she hoped he would have an answer but she knew he probably wouldn't.

A crystal? True that was what it was but he hoped there was more to it than just that. Her's was glowing and his wasn't. Why was that? Brings them life? How odd...yet interesting. How did it bring them life?
"I don't know. It's never glowed before..." Milo answered. "Perhaps we can figure that out? I mean it is a part of your culture, maybe there's a reason."
It would be nice for something to be learned today about his past. But as it was going he doubt it would work. This place though was certainly fascinating, at least to him since he was a outsider.
